It's a Safeway, to begin with. Typically well-stocked, clean, well-lit, and mostly staffed by competent folk. Now that's out of the way, I LOVE the trellis along the side of the building, consider it a defining feature of this location, and would love if the management (likely at the corporate level) invested a little more money on beautification (i.e., on further plants and maintenance). Heck, fundraise for it - I'd throw in a bit.

Poor customer service. Whenever I asked for help they either didn't know, or just seemed as though I was bothering them just by asking. Hurried us through the checkout & when I asked for a replacement product for a damaged one, I was asked to pay for the damaged one PLUS the new replacement! Of course I didn't! Ive been to this location a few times & can honestly say I dont recall a pleasant visit once....sorry to say ????????

Its really clean and good quality place as always you can complain about Safeway products. They need to have better training. The staff is really judgmental and mot doing their job its seems as if I am going to some fbi type of building, each time i go to shopping the staff and i mean everyone who works in that location seems to be a security . Like its outrageous each time i walk in any freaking aisle one old man in the front have an empty bag walks back and forth and one in the back from the idiot staff takes am item and then place back to it place and each time i move he move and when i stop he stops too. I was gonna drop dead to see if he will but didnt.... next time i will and i will bring treats. The sum is , never had a peaceful grocery shopping !

Safeway is now selling all bags... now I am not against this... but thevonky options are cloths bags all sizes over a dollar each or a huge paper bag for 15 cents... 15 cents? That's ridiculous when the store probably doesn't pay more than a few cents for each bag. There are never enough cashiers on so people are forced to use self checkout. Not good when there are people needing jobs out there...

It's in my neighbourhood but I do my regular grocery shopping across the city. It's great for a few quick items. The staff are often rude or indifferent to customers. Starbucks coffee onsite. The cafe area seems to be a popular hangout for local seniors.

Still carrying out the Covid regulations right down to the arrows on the floor, I was just jutting in a row on a wrong way istle when a clerk from a freezer beside me spoke up and pointed to the arrow and said your going the wrong way. I said thanks and went around the long way and came back to what I was looking for. I love the customer service there. Prices are a bit higher than I pay other places but if its a need at that point and I can't get to the others why not.

Terrible service. My husband had to clean the bathroom for me to use. I asked the cashier who cleans the bathroom and she told me that the manager is in charge of it. She didn't even help us but another cashier heard me and he called for the manager to clean it. By the time he came My husband was done cleaning the toilet for me to use. Even the door needs cleaning. It's disgusting. No one wants to use a dirty bathroom! I wont go shopping again there.

I witnessed a man yelling with FULL ON rage at the short woman door greeter because he didn’t want to sanitize his hands. Worst part is, there was no supervisor or manager that helped this poor girl out. I suggest you train your greeters or get one who works at Safeway NOT Starbucks!!! Specially during a pandemic!!!

Safeway is great. The star bucks employees there have an attitude! I simply asked where the lids etc were as they are hidden around an out of site corner and she was super ticked. This is the go-to grocery store if you live in Cathedral. They’ve got all your basics, plus on Rider game day they usually put Watermelons on sale (local touch right?). They could improve their health section but they make up for it with the Starbucks! Sandwich bar ladies are the best :)

Honestly cannot say enough positive things about this place. The location is fantastic (Cathedral, after all: one of the few very quaint places in Regina), very accessible by both foot or car whether you live downtown or any other part of the city - excellent selection of products, and the customer service is impeccable. Everyone is always so pleasant and helpful... makes you want to shop there all the time. Highly recommended!

Safeway is quite expensive and fails in meat and produce. I bought some hamburger and it was tasteless and full of sinew. We were going to buy some fish for a "buy 2 and get one free" when they meant you get the 3rd one free. Sneaky and deceptive marketing. Across the street is my butcher and fish monger. Buy your meat and fish there.

The most poorly managed grocery store I have been to during the pandemic. Rather than have an IN door and an OUT door, they bottleneck their customers into a face to face confrontation in a common entry/exit with ZERO space for social distancing. I do not suggest shopping there for about the next 3 years, if you can avoid it.

Just there today to pick up a few things, I ussd to buy at regent park safeway which is unfortunately closed permanently so most times I go to North Gate location. I've never had a problem at those locations or previously at this one but after today I will never go back to this store. The store was far from being busy so you'd think a little service would be easy. Pharmacy was serving no one but apparently too busy to allow me a minute to verify what I needed, sorry I forgot the name. Staff at grocery tills was just as bad, the only positive experience was the polite security person coming in and leaving the building for the last time. I certainly won't judge other safeway locations with this bunch as I've always had great service at the others.

A staff member who had blonde fuzzy hair, it's brown now, and her husband were rude/ignorant to me in the parking lot. Her husband was parked in the handicap spot, I was parked beside him & because she was too heavy to get into their truck he was cursing/yelling at me.... she then gave me the finger when she got in and has been rude and talks about me to other staff when I go into the store! About 2 weeks ago, her and another staff member were talking about me and laughing, so this visit is my last and I won't ever go to Safeway again!!! I'd give you zero stars if I could!!!

Overheard a woman in the bakery section today (Cathedral location) openly discriminate and condescendingly reply to a customer who was simply inquiring about a simple cake order.. I am so very disappointed in the way the employee handled herself overall.. After realizing the employee had no real intent or concern of helping her out, she eventually just gave up and left.. This to me was such an ugly representation of customer service, and a terrible reflection of today's society. I will NEVER shop at a Safeway again.

I honestly love this Safeway. Great bakery, decently designed layout, and I consistently leave with an unexpected, fun find. Super good holiday selection. Plus, self-checkouts! I prefer this to Mike's Grocer, the other downtown-ish option. Only complaint is removing all plastic. In theory, good, but not even to wrap your meat juice in to keep from spilling? Trying to use a huge paper bag to wrap a small metal roast is ridiculous... Plus now I have 600 'reusable' plastic-based Safeway bags, which doesn't seem eco-friendly either...I think it's secretly a scam to sell Safeway bags but ah well. Still an awesome store.

I didn't get her name, but the woman who was working in the floral area was so helpful and went above and beyond. My sibling and I were picking out flowers and a vase for my mother, and we asked the floral woman if she could combine the flowers for us. She proceeded to fill the vase, arrange the flowers, and packed it for us for safe travels. Super helpful and wonderful customer service from her!

I appreciate the early opening time and later closing time. They carry some nice in house made salads that are a quick and convenient option when you don't feel like cooking. They are out of stuff...A LOT! But that's a first world problem and it's close to home and the staff are pretty friendly so I will continue to use this store as long as I live in the area.

The pharmacy staff, all to often tell you to come back for your medication in say one hour or so, and 9 time out of 10, the medication is STILL not ready. There is one lady there, that is VERY rude, too! Then there's the long, slow line-ups for the cashiers.

This place only gets 4 stars in my mind.reason is that there is always large holes on the shelves with missing products and the produce is mediocre at best. Another negative to this location is there is always someone begging for money or food outside and to the point of harassment almost...nothing done by the staff to address the issue. Bakery is great but the deli staff not the most efficient or friendly.the check out lines always seem to move well and till staff is good.

The customer service at the deli is terrible they are always giving off the inconvenience when you’d like a fresh breakfast sandwich they are not polite. Nice clean store ,friendly staff. There is a pharmacy there. Lots of parking and handicapped parking also. Prices are not to bad. A good shopping experience. Check it out for your self.

Prices are pretty high but not a bad place to get groceries. However, the deli department where you can get sandwiches made to just like you would at subway, is extremely poor service. They are very rude and its like your cutting off their finger if you ask for a sandwich. I was just in there this morning to by a breakfast sandwich and when i asked for an everything bagle. The lady bedind the counter snarked, rolles her eyes at me then stormed to the back to grab one. I dont need attitude with my break fast. Especially when i make it a point to be extra polite. Please note this is the only part of the store that sucks. Sincerley everyone whos been there.

Some of the staff are great! The others are racist, I would be alright if I didn’t get followed every time I go and get groceries. I know why I stopped going to this location, for even the simplest/easiest shopping lists. I prefer to drive to the south mall location.

This is a very nice and clean Safeway. It is smaller than most of the other Safeways in Regina and it is frequently busy. Thus, product sells out faster due to its size and the demand which is unfortunate. However, I still like going there as it is in a convenient locale for me.

If I am nearby when at work or after work , like stopping in for what I need to purchase. Or if on a weekend got more time to get what is needed. Bright atmosphere, excellent variety of fruits vegetables and the fresh baking always gets me. Love coming to Cathedral for shopping and this Safeway is always my go to shop
