When I first starting my wedding planning process, I cam across Heart and Sola Canada on pinterest, and read her blog post on the benefits of sola wood flowers. I was intrigued by the idea of faux flowers that were different than the average silk, that would be ready in advance of your wedding day, with no danger of wilting or drying out, easier to transport, and then ready to keep, no preservation needed! Several of her previous bouquets had the gorgeous rustic look I was after. Alissa worked with me to help nail down the look I wanted. I really appreciated her professionalism and adaptability. In the end, the bouquet was amazing, as were the wrist corsages and boutonnières. My photographer said it was the prettiest and most unique bouquet she had seen in a long time! With her options to mix a huge variety of faux and preserved greenery, with different bouquet shapes and the clients ability to select the exact colors they want, you can really get any unique look you want for your wedding! I would definitely recommend considering Heart and Sola as an option for your wedding florals, I am very glad I did!

Since I have been blocked and everyone that has commented has been blocked, we take to google. See below. So now that the big day has past, here is a cautionary tale for anyone wanting to purchase floral arrangements from Heart & Sola in Toronto Ontario (to be clear, "Sola" is a brand name of artificial wooden flowers sold at Michael's) The first 2 picture are the pinterest inspiration photos I had sent to this company. They assured me they could replicate the cascade I had sent, as well as our floral hoops for my bridesmaids pictured below. I specified I wanted burnt orange and burgundy. Now, I expected some differences and variation, and knew it wouldn't be exact, but...neither of these requests even came close. They are peach and violet? The next few pics are the last minute, slapped together, squished, torn and broken arrangements I receive from Heart & Sola. I also had to pay an additional $53 shipping (last minute) as she was not prepared to send them to Manitoba thinking I was local to Toronto, even though I had asked for a full total and sent her my shipping address in March. When I messaged her 3 weeks out from the wedding to see how things were coming along as I had not heard from her, she told me nothing was done and she had items on order and that shipping only took 1 day not to worry. I reminded her that I was from Manitoba, and she assure me that of all the things to worry about on a wedding day, my flowered wouldn't be one of them. Please don't allow that lady to leave you arrangements till the last minute, especially if you are from out of province When they arrived and I saw that they were not at all my color scheme, (which i specified that I wanted burnt orange and burgundy in our texts) they were damaged and poorly put together, I sent a message which was met in complete defensiveness, I asked what could be done. I was met with refusal, and told that I had signed a contract and that all that could be done was $100 refund. Which was not at all suffice for the $$440.00 plus shipping that I paid. I asked to return the bouquet for a refund, as she did not meet the contract I had signed with my wishes, and I was refused. In March when I was sent a quote through honeybooks, and I confirmed the go ahead, I was asked to send an ETF directly to her as opposed to honeybooks because they took a percentage off her sales. I was understanding of that, so I obliged. Heart & Sola had also promised me a free toss bouquet, as I had made a purchase over $400, which was never honored, I have politely sent several messages to try and rectify this situation before turning to social media to warning anyone that places an order with Alyssa MacDonald at Heart and Sola Canada. The florals are posted all over Heart & Sola's facebook page with plenty of positive review. So when I asked to return them to her, I suggest with such positive feedback, she could resell them, and again she refused. I have said many times I am not happy with the florals, the colors don't match and the flowers are squashed, torn and broken. I was told to spray the bouquet with water to "fluff up" the flowers. The hoops were also silver, (although I requested gold) and she spray painted them gold, which would have been fine, except they were so poorly sprayed that the silver shows through the hoops and literally flaked off in your hand. But most importantly, the colors, as you can see... Just aren't even close to what I asked for. Please feel free to share this far and wide and potentially save another bride from the financial drain, and heartbreaking disappointment of this company.

We’ve already referred them for some other weddings we know of that are coming up. If you’re still looking for a florist - search no longer, this is worth it!

I ordered a large wreath and a tabletop arrangement from Heart & Sola Canada and I recommend everything about this company! I felt the prices were comparable to fresh flowers and the fact that everything is customizable makes it even more worthwhile. Alissa was extremely responsive and checked in with me throughout the whole process; asking about sizing, colours and style, and gave her honest input when I couldn't decide. She was flexible about pick-up days/times too which I really appreciated. I hope to order from her again! ❤

Working with Alissa was an absolute dream! If all wedding vendors operated like Alissa, weddings might be less stressful haha. From the beginning she was super communicative and responsive and an absolute darling to chat with. She immediately understood my vision and executed it perfectly. I was so happy with the way it all turned out. She was super prompt for setup and got it all done in record time and everything looked beautiful! She created two large entrance pieces in vases, arch swags, a candlelit pathways with rose petals, my bouquet, a throw bouquet and my groom’s boutonniere. Everyone commented on how lovely the florals and decor were and I don’t think anyone noticed that the flowers weren’t real! However despite them not being real, they certainly can pass for it! I was worried about that in the beginning but they offer all the perks of real flowers without the wilting and shed petals. Working with Alissa is a win-win all around and I would definitely work with her for any future events.

Alissa is so beyond amazing and her work is amazing as well. The flowers are beautiful. I had a bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, boutonnières and corsages made. The colour and design is exactly what I wanted. Price is great and on par with real flowers. I was sold when I thought about the fact that the money won’t be wasted and everyone gets to keep their flowers after the wedding. Would 100% recommend Heart and Sola Canada. She gave me options of different flowers and greenery (with pictures) that could be included and also gave me her expert opinion on what she thinks would look best with what I wanted. She sent me pictures during the whole process of her making the bouquet so I was in the loop and asked for any feedback, which I really appreciated. Alissa was very accommodating to the changes that I wanted made along the way and did her best to ensure I was happy with it. I also really appreciate her effort to source the best price for the sunflowers I wanted as the main flower. I loved the bouquet and now it is proudly displayed in my living room still!
