Very unfortunate experience with this store being bait and switch. Totally agree with all the negative reviews here. She did the same to us. We had to cancel our order once we realized that we not getting what we paid for . Enough is enough. We ended up getting better flowers for a half price at #longos and with waay better service.

Met Sylvia. Amazing woman. She told me the history of the store and all of the charities she supports. I Ended up getting 3 very special rose bouqets delivered. She even agreed to help me stagger the deliveries to be about 30 minutes apart although they were all to the same person at the same location. She did this simply because it is what I felt would be the most meaningful for the recipient. Don't think many other flower shops would be willing to do this. Saying sorry is never easy but the service received here definitely lifted my spirits. Recommended! Thank you Sylvia!

Went in today to get a bouquet for a friend and the lady working there was so nice and pleasant. She is the daughter of the owner and they have been there for 30+ years! She made me a bouquet on the spot m, even though you have to order them in advance ( I did not know lol) she still accommodated me at the end of her evening and was very very nice about it. The flowers are beautiful ! My friend loves them and I will deffo be coming back the next time I am in town! Check out the actual size of this arrangement lol... Does it look like something you would spend $89 on? My wife who's an apprentice in floral arrangement says there's no way a combination like this should cost more than $40. There are a total of 6 roses, and the lilies are pretty much dying after 40 minutes of being out of store. Also, philanthropy should never, EVER be used as an incentive to markup prices to this degree and be used as a tool to lure sympathy for 5 star reviews. It is never an excuse to poor quality of products. Business comes before charity. This is quite a valentines disappointment lol, but honestly, I accept that being ripped off like this really is just paying for life lessons. Always inquire about the size!

The flower arrangement I received looked absolutely nothing like the ones I ordered online. Quite disappointing, as I did spend a lot of money on them. Would have appreciated if she had notified me earlier that they were out of certain flowers, as I specifically picked a design with lillies, which are my mother's favourite flower, but even when I called to ask about it I was constantly interrupted and told that the money was going towards charity. I understand that Mother's Day is a very busy day for florists, but the service was overall very poor. This was my first time buying from a florist but next time I would rather just go buy flowers from the grocery store. Would not recommend.

I Absolutely love Flowers By Sylvia. I work with the owner and designers from time to time as another florist and when I say I have yet to meet a florist besides myself who cares as much about her customer and the arrangements she puts out, I mean it! Some of her profits are donated in the name of her late mother and she tries her hardest to make sure she's able to take as many orders as possible and donate as much as she can. She truly takes care of orders. Quality AND quantity with this florist. Would highly reccomend her to anyone looking for flowers delivered in the area.

Don't fall for the high reviews and make the same mistake as I did. I really wanted to support local businesses and thought how great it was for them to make charitable donations. However, this should not be an excuse to sell such small arrangements for insane prices. Unfortunately, I paid a premium $130 for 11 roses that looked nothing less than a bouquet from Loblaws. It is also not okay to use your mother's passing and donations to guilt trip a customer into giving a good review. By no means am I against sharing.. but to remind me over 4 times (before AND during the order pick up) about your philanthropy and late mother, it definitely made me feel pressured and uncomfortable. Before the pick up, I called an hour early to check on the order - I was told to wait and after 20 minutes, the first thing she mentions is her philanthropy and her mother's passing.. that transitioned into pushing me to write a review. I had yet to even pick up my order at that point. During the actual pick up, I waited outside the door because I wanted to respect COVID no contact protocols. When she opened the door, I was stunned that she shoved her phone to my hands to help HER take a picture of MY flowers. She also never asked if I was comfortable to touch her phone nor let me even see my own flowers (which ended up being so underwhelming for $130). Always check the low reviews on Google. This same type of behaviour dates back to even 4 years ago. I'm sad that I wasted my money but I definitely learned my lesson here.

nope, sorry, no good -- your website implies free delivery (about 100 yards away, to 100 York Blvd.)... then you charge $14 - which I paid, then the order shows up 5 hours late at 4 pm instead of before noon, as requested.... no phone call to me advising of late delivery.... no apology or acknowledgement after the fact, when I call to let you know of my dissatisfaction.... never again... NEVER.

The customer service I received was 5 star +. I had sent a flower arrangement to my wife's work for our 25th wedding anniversary. From what I was able to research, the Iris was the flower of choice after 25 years of marriage. Try and get an arrangement of Irises in February, not easy, but this women came through and they looked amazing! The customer service provided was over the moon! I went to Sylvia's flower store to get my girlfriend a bouquet of roses. When I arrived she was helping another customer and she kept insisting I look at how beautiful the arrangement she made for him. I'm all for pride in your work but after the third or fourth time of being told to look at how nice it was I was a bit frustrated. Just like all the other reviews she talked a lot about her mother who died and how she donates to cancer research and how i should give her a great review BEFORE i even told her what I wanted or got my flowers. To me it all felt like high pressure sales technique. Finally the bouquet was nice however i only got ELEVEN roses and if I am paying for a dozen at roughly $70 i would expect you could focus less on pressuring me into giving a good review and more on making sure I get my correct order. Read the reviews that others have left because i feel like this is heavily influenced by her telling everyone to leave a 5 star review and defeats the purpose of reviews.

Then this is the place. For flowers u expect to die in a couple days i would settle for a longos. Probably wont return any time soon. Out of my budget.

Don't order from this place, it's a rip off and Sylvia tells people to give her a good review and tries to make people pay extra for a donation. A friend ordered flowers from here for his Anniversary and there was no card attached, he paid more for the flowers then advertised on the website and didn't show up on time. there was nothing special about the over-priced flowers. The website has reviews from all her friends and relatives, don't order from this place. On top of all of this my friend got 2 nasty phone calls about the reviews he left and asked to take them down. She told him how angry her husband is about the review and also how she closed down her business to deliver his flowers.

BEWARE!!! Scam ALERT! I ordered flowers for next day delivery. The day of delivery I received a phone call from the owner letting me know that she can’t deliver the order because her driver is not there and she can’t bend her knee to drive and the following day is a special day for her mother who is the owner the business. She proceeded to tell me that she would only be able to take the order if the recipient was home at that very moment. (I had no way of verifying if they were home.) Every time I tried asking a question or speak she spoke over me and kept repeating herself. I gave in and told her to just take the flowers next week. (Even though I paid a service fee for next day delivery.) Once I agreed, she told me to go online and give her a 5 star review. That was strange considering the situation and it made me uncomfortable. Also, there was no follow up or email sent letting me know that the flowers had been delivered. Overall, I would not recommend this company. If next day delivery is not available, then it shouldn’t be an option while ordering flowers. Update->I just received a photo of the flowers that were delivered. It is nothing like the website pictures. I ordered a 2 stem Orchid arrangement in a large clear glass vase. They delivered one stem Orchid in a tiny cheap plastic container. Looks like something you can pick up from a grocery store. I’m very embarrassed because these were sent to my aunt who’s husband suddenly passed away. I have added photos of what I ordered and what was delivered.

Absolute worst service I have ever received. If I could give no stars I would. I received a call from my mother the day after Mother's Day extremely upset over the flowers she received after midnight. I was absolutely mortified as to the photos I received of the flowers. Not only were her flowers delivered well after 10 PM (which completely defeats the purpose of receiving something on Mother’s Day). She went the whole day thinking we all forgot about her! The flowers were left outside in the cold where as I explicitly requested for them to be left securely behind the glass door. Regardless, my mother was home all day so they did not even need to be left outside. I paid extra for a premium bouquet and not only was it below the standard, but the flowers were wilted and broken. I called the company twice prior to making my order and was reassured that they were fulfilling their mother’s request and would make sure my mother would love her flowers. I couldn’t be more embarrassed. I contacted the store requesting a refund, and was refused. The owner went on to make matters personal and bring up the fact that I was not the only person upset, and that she was unable to visit her mother's grave on Mother's Day. Although very unfortunate, one may not use the loss of their own parent to justify why it's okay to upset someone else's parent. Business is business. I have paid for a service that was not properly fulfilled, and to try and fulfil the order on another day defeats the entire purpose. All of my mother’s children live abroad, and I took a chance on this company whereas usually I go with Hillcrest florist, only because I read about their mother’s story and thought it was a good cause. I can safely say my mother was heartbroken and had the worst Mother’s Day. If there was a shortage of flowers or they couldn’t manage because of the amount of orders I would have preferred no flowers at all! I have attached photos of what I ordered and what was delivered. Absolute disgrace.

My dear friends had chosen a beautiful arrangement from Flowers by Sylvia to surprise me with. I learned it arrived earlier than expected which was amazing. The flowers were so fresh and dewy. Such a unique style too, the way it was presented it felt so royal. I also learned Sylvia donates portions of her sales to charities to honour her late mother. What a beautiful choice. Thank you
