I live in NS, my mother lives in Perth-Andover, NB. I googled florists and found this flower shop for online ordering. I ordered my mother an orchid online through their Teleflora website, for delivery on the 9th of May (they were not open on the 10th for delivery). I called The Flower Pot in Perth-Andover at 4:30 pm on the 9th, to question why the delivery did not happen. They didn't have my online order in their queue, and in fact didn't even know that I had ordered anything online until I called them. They then said the orchids did not come in on their delivery truck and that their store inventory was very low, After some discussion, there was really no other alternative arrangements to choose from, so I cancelled my order. Amid their Covid 19 re-opening at the beginning of this week, I can understand not having stock available, but what I don't understand is why they wouldn't post that these arrangements are no longer available on their website. Had I know that their stock was very low, I would have taken my business elsewhere. My second complaint is that I was not informed that the delivery would not happen, until I called them that afternoon to question why my Mother did not get her orchid yet. When I asked them why they didn't call me that morning to let me know of this issue, I was told they were busy all day preparing orders and didn't have a chance to get to mine. Wth ??? Deceptive online presence and poor customer communication. Overall a very bad experience. Covid 19 has opened a lot of doors with respect to consumers ordering online, but apparently this franchised country bumpkin flower shop has yet to get with the program.

I called this florist, in Perth-Andover, to order flowers for my grand mother. I told the lady I would like a bouquet with yellow roses, if they had them, but if not anything would do (the first time I ordered they ended up not having any, so I said anything if not). Also, informed them it was for Mother's Day and asked when it would be delivered, to ensure it getting there on time. The lady said it would be there by Sunday for sure. After hearing this I went ahead to purchase/order the bouquet. Saturday after walking the dogs, I came back inside to a missed call and voicemail from them, letting me know they had no yellow roses and to call back to let them know if we still wanted the bouquet. Confused, after already telling them only yellow if they had it, I called back, with no answer. Looked up the hours to see that when they called they had already been closed for several hours and were closed the fallowing day as well. With no other call back number, I hoped as a florist, they would replace the yellow roses with something just as beautiful and deliver them Sunday to my grand mother. Sunday morning, no flowers. When I finally got ahold of someone over Facebook, I was told they only had carnations left or that I could wait for more flowers to get there Monday morning. I hesitated, but did not cancel the order (as there is no other place to order from). They offered free delivery as reimbursement for the tardiness, but it's less than a 1 km drive from the shop to my grand mother's house, lol. NOW, just got a message to tell me they would only be able to get them there on Thursday. Obviously, decided to cancel the order because who wants to buy/get a Mother's Day bouquet that is 4 days late. Their response was ????, no apology, nothing! Last time I order here for sure! Poor customer service and communication. Would not recommend this company (Grand-Falls has a couple florist who are not too far away).
