The greeter at the front didn't know how to deal with my "face shield". She had to call her manager to see "if it was okay" that I entered with it on, instead of a mask. Seems I'm not the only person in the entire city who wears a shield instead of a mask...she should probably know what to do.

Basically Winners, but almost entirely home decor (with a few toilettries and gourmet foods and tea/coffee mixed in). And, much like Winners, I never leave without something - I bought a chef's knife, Greek cookbook, and some vanilla-flavoured matcha tea last time!

I went to winners today. I went there looking for a new belt and they had one in the clearance section for $10. I went up to buy it had to wait in line for like 10 minutes. She rings it in and then goes to the back counter and scans it several times. She comes to me and says this tag is wrong. This belt is actually 16.99. Since there's a tag on it that says $10 I demand to talk to the manager and while we're waiting for the manager the cashier starts trying to peel the clearance tag off. The manager gets up to the counter and says will we have to look and see if any other ones like this are on clearance if not then this one is 16.99 regardless of what the price tag says. She then tells me yeah this one clearly someone had peeled off of something else and put it on it you can see on the edges are peeled up (because of the cashier peeling them up). Their clearance tags have no markings on them identifying what items that could alert the customer to whether the item is correctly tagged or not so they have the ability to scan customers and they leave it like that on purpose. I will never shop at this dishonest company again. Manager at home sense co formed to me that this is the company policy. Avoid their stores!!!

The Homesense store in Fredericton is quite large with an abundance of house wares for every one. The staff are quite friendly and helpful! The store is also quite clean and the washroom was as well.
