I order flowers for 3 women every mothers day, spending the same amount on each and Alana's charged more for delivery to go a very short distance while also providing nearly half as many blooms. Will likely not order again from them.

Paid $65 plus delivery for a bouquet of mostly leaves with 4 flowers stuffed in. Updated to add the owner called the person I sent these flowers (my mother in law!) to to speak to her about my review. I found this to be very inappropriate. When I called and asked her about it she said it was to "investigate" to see if someone had pulled flowers out of the bouquet. Unbelievable. Also if the owner is reading this, please always call the person purchasing the flowers if there are issues, not the one receiving them.

Their flowers are oka, but they spray some chemical from the big black aerosole on the flowers so that they will shine. It has terrible smell, just like the ceapest toilet air freshener. Why would a "professional" floral store want their customers to breathe that stuff in that may cause cancer or asthma? Beats me, get your flowers from a place that just sells flowers that do not need any shine! What if a cat eats your chemistry infused flowers? Ever tried eating the sprayed leaves yourself to see what happens to your health?

I bought flowers from Alana's last year and recently, out of the blue, they have started spamming me - both by e-mail and SMS - to get me to leave a review. I guess some people don't mind being spammed but I do so I'm very careful about providing my contact info and I never provide permission to use it for marketing. All businesses want free marketing, fortunately most don't stoop to this.

For my wife's birthday we wanted a bright statement; My Daughter chose the Yellow Long Stem Roses. With BabyBreath and Greens the display was impressive. Store was Pick up only with Covid Protocols in place. The staff member brought our purchase our to the car for curbside pick up. A full week later and the roses are still in Full Bloom. I showed up last min for a funeral wreath. I needed it delivered by 6pm, and it was 11 am in the morning. They had 20 min to make it before the delivery guy would come pick up everything for the day. They made it work with what they had, and they were there on time. The flowers stayed the same for nearly 3 days. The girls were helpful, understanding and made it really easy. The flowers for my wedding were done by Esther. I had ordered six bouquets and two arrangements for the chapel. I gave Esther my budget and colour scheme, and the flowers turned out even better than what I had pictured in my mind! My mom and her friends commented on how lovely the colour combination looked. Other vendors were giving me quotes waaaaay out of my budget for what I was looking for, but Esther gave me a realistic outlook on what I could get with the amount I was willing to spend. I had originally ordered the FTD® Color Rush™ Bouquet (Item C8-5164) for Mother's Day as my mom absolutely loves carnations. It was received today and I did notice that there was no carnations, which was initially a little disappointing for myself but my mom absolutely loved it anyway. I did post an initial review of 3 starts but I have changed that to a full 5 starts after the owner Alana actually called! She was incredibly sweet and walked me through the differences in the order which really helped me understand why adjustments were made because she still wanted my mom to have something beautiful for Mother's Day. Because carnations weren't available, she had made adjustments to the order which equaled out to more than what I actually paid. She made a beautiful piece containing roses, peonies, Scottish thistle, sweet pea flowers, etc. (I uploaded a photo as well) I'm not an expert at all in anything to do with the flower industry so I really did appreciate her calling to make sure that we were both happy (my mom and I), as that shows that she really cares about her customers. I would definitely use this shop again in the future.

I suggest ordering either online or via phone. The physical shop is small and allows only 1 client at a time. We should all continue to practise social distancing anyway.

A few weeks ago there was a death in my family and it was my first time needing to buy funeral flowers. I had had a frustrating experience with two places earlier that same day, made worse by my grief and the fact that I was depending on the florist's to actually know what they were doing because I didn't. One wouldn't even look up from her phone when I told her I needed flowers for my Aunt's funeral, just shrugging and saying that didn't even have a book to show me samples but I could look around and figure something out from that! We happened to notice this place while driving past and thought to check it out, and I'm so glad that we did. The woman there was so helpful, courteous and very patient. I left feeling relieved and confident in my choice. When I saw the flowers at the service I was very impressed and they lasted a few days after, through both the viewing and the funeral as well as long enough for me to dry and press them, despite my home being very warm. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone and I will use their services in the future.

Great experience here my girlfriends birthday is tomorrow and I decided last minute to add flowers to her gift. I called and asked if something could be put together last minute and was assured that it could be and even in her favorite colour,purple and within fifteen minutes I had picked it up and the bouquet is beautiful with a really nice assortment of flowers and they are so fresh that even though my ride home was only like ten minutes my whole car smelt amazing thank you so much for the help and take care! 10 out of 5 stars!

It was a beautiful arrangement but one of the mums was dead and 2 others were not so fresh so I messaged and received a response in under 2 hours with a sincere apology and an offer to replace the flowers. The next day I received beautiful replacement flowers with extra flowers in a lovely arrangement that were extremely fresh and another very sincere apology. This is fantastic customer service I am very impressed and would highly recommend!

Terrible experience. Delivery of flowers went to a neighbour, it was a surprise so I had no idea to expect them. Delivery guy left the flowers with a neighbour but left no note indicating so. The next day, after tracking them down, the roses were already showing browning and curling up, as were the mums. I called the florist who made light of it and advised she would ensure a replacement bouquet would be sent the next day. Got the replacement bouquet late in the day, the next day, no roses, a bouquet that was smooshed together, a bunch of yellow browning leaves with rotting ends that were clearly shoved into the green wet sponge. From the first phone call, to the numerous text messages there was never any real apology from the florist. It was the delivery guys fault, it was my neighbours fault and it was my fault because how could I expect replacement roses when the ones I got only showed a little browning. Who cares how much the flowers cost, I should be happy with what I got and I have been left to believe it's my fault in the end.

Zero stars if possible. Ordered flowers to be delivered on Valentine’s Day with chocolate. Received flowers on Valentine’s Day no problem but didn’t get the chocolate with it so I called and asked where the chocolate was and they said we will give you 10 dollars and you can get your own chocolate. First of all, the chocolate I paid for was 20 dollars so that 10 is not even half what I paid if I include tax. and when I told them about that and asked for manager they just said they’re too busy and they can’t do anything right now. They are aware that it is their problem and mistake but wants to make it into customers problem now that they got the money from me. I do understand they’re busy on holidays but this is still unacceptable behavior from them. Now they are refusing to pick up the phone... if you want to ruin your Valentine’s Day then go ahead and order from this place and be mad all day.

She was very accommodating while we had to make multiple changes as our wedding had to be not only reduced in size but also postponed. Wow extremely rude. Complete money grab. All she cares is how to RIP off customers and make them feel bad if they dont spend what she wants. Ie 1 rose is $7 and 1 dozen costs $70 ! What a RIP off as they sell 1 dozen anywhere for around $20. Her samples are horrible and so over priced. Her attitude is the worst made my fiance wanna run away and never come back. Being a past customer, I decided to order flowers for a milestone anniversary. After seeing the flowers received, I was a little disappointed with the quality, but I didn't expect a refund or anything. I expressed my concern in an email and received a call back. The owner asked a few questions and expressed that their client's satisfaction is their tip priority. She insisted that a new bouquet be sent immediately. After speaking to my mom, she couldn't be happier with her new bouquet, as she expressed how beautiful they are. Overall, I may havr been originally disappointed, their commitment to me through the entire process was amazing (at no point did I feel that I needed to argue with them). A successful business is one that puts their customer's experience above everything else. No wonder your flower shop has been in business so many years.

FLOWERS LASTED BEAUTIFULLY! Friends sent us a sympathy bouquet from Alana's Flowers. It was among the first ones we received and it stayed lovely long after all the other bouquets were dead ... easily 3 weeks, and approaching 4 weeks. Those must have been VERY FRESH flowers and it was so nice to enjoy them for so long. We were thrilled to learn that Alana's is in our neighbourhood - we will start using them when we need to send flowers ourselves!

Ordered from Alana's first time on March 7 and have to say I was really impressed with the service and the quality of the flowers I got. My order was delivered next day in the morning and was a wonderful surprise for my wife on international women's day. I sent my parents a bouquet of flowers on the day I was eloping as a sort of surprise/reveal. At the time of ordering a month earlier, I was rudely spoken to by a lady over the phone when I had corrected her spelling of one of the words meant for my note. She exclaimed Spell Check will take care of everything and even went on to say, in her broken English, that what she wrote was grammatically correct. I felt rushed and now there was a certain degree of uncertainty that my note & order details would be incorrect after that exchange. I later found out, after my event, that there were two major spelling errors in the note. Additionally, the flowers were underwhelming considering I spent over $170. They did not look like the picture they advertised on their website. After 4-5 days, the flowers were turning a noticeable brown colour. At the 7 day mark, they were completely done for. Such a shame. Will not order from this location again.
