I am very disappointed with my recent experience with Floral Theory, as they made a commitment (and accepted a deposit) to provide florals for my wedding and then cancelled nearly two months later so they could do their friend's wedding instead. This cancellation was via email, with no discussion. I have been a customer at Floral Theory since this store opened and have spent a fortune buying their plants. Nearly two months after booking Floral Theory, I received an email letting me know that their friend is getting married the same day and that they're unable to do both weddings, so they made a decision not to fulfill their commitment to us, to do their friend's wedding instead of ours, and returned our deposit. This left us needing to book another florist which is a challenge as summer weekends book up a year in advance. The lack of professionalism or consideration here is very surprising.

I waited and no one ever came. Since I wanted an arrangement for my spouse on her birthday It was disappointing and affected our evening. However, I do recognize the focus of the business is creating arrangements in advance rather than a full service florist. The store is very apoealing.

Very disappointed I could not participate in one of their winter workshops. I have an older family member I thought would love this as a gift. They would require lots of assistance so it would have made the most sense for both of us to work on just one arrangement. From what I understand the price for each workshop varies but this one cost $85.00 which is understandable. What I could not understand is that I would be charged $170.00 for both of us to participate when only one arrangement would be worked upon. I was told this very plainly by Bobby over the phone before I had the chance to explain my situation when I had called to inquire. While I understand it may be policy, I am still extremely disappointed by my interaction and inability to explain the situation. Any other business I may have taken to Floral Theory Inc will now be taken elsewhere.

These guys don't understand basic instructions. I called the store and visited multiple times trying to get poppies for my wife, as they are her favourite flower and hard to come by. They didn't have any in stock at the time but wanted me to put down the full price of the flowers and couldn't guarantee they would even get them in. When I asked if I could get my money back if they didn't get poppies in, they said no and they would just make a bouquet with whatever flowers they got in. I obviously did not agree to this. Why would anyone just hand over money without knowing what they will be getting? During all of my interactions with the guy who worked there, he was quite rude and condescending. They did finally get poppies in and I called to put a deposit down. Again I stressed that I only wanted poppies. When I went to pick them up, they had a mixture of flowers. Almost half of the flowers were not even poppies. They are now sold out of the poppies and cannot replace them. It's unfortunate this store is one of the only places around to get poppies in stock, because I will not be returning.
