Was very disappointed with my experience here. I had ordered flowers for a birthday, and because I had a Saskatchewan number listed they refused to call and sent an email (which was missed until too late) so the flowers never made it out to the recipient. When calling to ask for a refund the lady on the phone was very rude as soon as I mentioned refund. Please communicate to staff that just because a number is from out of province doesn't mean that it shouldn't be called. EDITED: Based off the response and reading other low star review it looks like this is not an appropriate place to order from if you have an out of town number. Hopefully the owner of this establishment will take a look into the shop practices so that the phone number provided gets called regardless of area code, rather than just assuming that it's an incorrect number. In the mean time, if you're not providing a local number, I'd try a different shop.

I am in town for the passing of my mother in law. I purchased flowers online and my order was processed. After processing I received an email saying that they wouldn't deliver without a local phone number. This response was cheap, thoughtless and unprofessional. Your response doesn't address my comment. I included my phone number in the field for a phone number, and left my phone number in the special instructions. Your email said my order could not be processed without a LOCAL phone number. This is why I said it was cheap (being unwilling to pay for a long distance call) and unprofessional (your data capture system allows a long distance number, and if you are selling to anyone who doesn't live in Winnipeg, it will be long distance). Thoughtless was about sending an email instead of calling.

We had the arrangement -- the little dog with the Santa hat in the cute Santa Belt container -- sent to friends for Christmas and they really liked it and said that they have never seen such a cute arrangement. We love to deal with Valley Flowers whenever we want to have flowers sent to someone -- or pick up for our own use. Sheila and her staff are wonderful to deal with. They always do such a wonderful job with their arrangements. THEY ARE "THE BEST". We go back a long way with Valley Flowers! They did our flowers for our wedding 52 years ago. They were on the corner of McGregor and Mountain at that time. Also, my dear Mom went to school with Mr. Kurtz who was one of the "original" owners of Valley Flowers. Their corsages are so beautiful and we always ask to have the "Valley Trim" added. Valley Flowers also did all our funeral flowers when our dear Mom & Dad passed away. I have never seen a "casket spray" as beautiful as the ones that Valley Flowers make. We will never go anywhere else but Valley Flowers as they are the "absolute best" and never disappoint. I ordered flowers for good friends of ours who live in Winnipeg and was so impressed by the communication that was provided by this company. As we know, COVID restrictions complicate things and I was concerned, given that deliveries cannot be left with a neighbouring house when the recipient is not home, that the flowers might arrive to an empty house, and possibly be left on a porch in cold weather. In addition to receiving notification after I ordered, I also received a notice indicating that the recipient had been contacted, given a time frame for the delivery and then another notification that the delivery had been successfully completed. An added bonus - the flowers were lovely too. If I ever have need to order flowers for someone in Winnipeg again, I will save myself the time of looking at the many options and go directly to Valley Flowers.
