There have been countless times when her service has been above and beyond, and once, during a particularly hard time, when it literally reduced me to tears. Wish I could give more than 5 stars...

The woman running this flower shop is nothing short of rude and condescending. My daughter purchased 2 hydrangeas 3 white roses and some ferns a palm and a purple spikey stem for my birthday present. It was a lovely arrangement which my daughter put together. 1 day later the hydrangeas were dead. When asked to replace the hydrangeas this woman says well you would not buy a roast and return it for exchange cause you burnt the roast. WHAT? No one burnt the flowers for goodness sake what sense does that even make. Anyhow she finally gave my girl 1 hydrangea to replace 2. Fast forward 4 days later and the roses are wilted. I buy flowers frequently from a grocery store and they last for weeks. Perhaps the flowers from this shop are donated by other florists wanting to move out old stock. Customer satisfaction is not a priority to this business and neither is respect. Save yourself aggravation and money...go elsewhere. If I could attach some pictures you'd see what I'm talking about.

I needed some flowers last minute, and it was close to home. Really nice little shop. An interesting selection of gifts as well. The lady was so helpful and genuine. I don't need flowers often, but this is where I'll go when I do.

i did not receive quality customer service. The woman on the phone was condescending and rushed me off the phone when I was trying to gather information on orchids that I wanted to surprise my sister with. Would not recommend unless they can adjust how they treat their customers- especially those who are unable to go into the store due to COVID.

My favourite florist! The flowers are excellent and the customer service is even better! My husband bought me a rose from Sonya's that looked fresh for a month (remarkable for a rose)! I can't recommend this florist enough; her service continues to be excellent as she is doing curb-side pick-up during code red. And don't forget about the giftware- also adorable. I'm always happy with Sonya's Flowers.

Sonya is a total gem! It's obvious she loves what she does and that makes all the difference. I've tried several other highly rated florists in Winnipeg and received either low-quality product or high prices and cold, pretentious service. At Sonya's I found quality selections, perfect service, and very reasonable prices. After only one visit she is my new 'go to' and I'm quite looking forward to the next occasion to buy from her again.

What a disappointment of a business. I purchased hydrangeas for a funeral and within an hour of Sonya delivering them, they were dead. Later that day we cordially explained this to Sonya and were virtually kicked out of her store. She had concern for what anyone had to say except herself. Please do yourself a favour and take your business elsewhere.

I have been receiving flowers regularly from this shop almost monthly for close to a year now and they are all so beautiful and so unique. Sonja knows I like different styles and love dark colors, she always has something special arranged for me. I am always so happy with the flowers that I have dried so many and made a really cool keepsake. She has also made a few gifts for friends for me that they loved. I also have to mention the chocolate she sells on the counter, Yum! (pretty sure it's local), I am a huge chocolate fan.

I contacted Sonya over a month before my wedding regarding wedding flowers. I did a ton of research regarding flowers I'd like for the wedding and during our email exchanges, Sonya indicated that many of the flowers I wanted were not possible or unavailable so I spent quite a bit of time over several days looking for new options. On August 19th she told me we had a three week window for ordering and we had identified a $750 budget that would be workable with what I wanted. On August 22, Sonya told me the cost had gone up to $900, and didn't provide an explanation. Her emails became increasingly brief and bordering on rude, and later on August 22 she told me we had run out of time and now the only flowers she could get were white roses for $775. Apparently there was an ordering deadline she neglected to inform me of. After I expressed my frustration, Sonya replied "At this time, I no longer have the time to discuss. Perhaps you would be better served with a larger organization like Costco." So, after committing so much time to communicating with Sonya over four or five days, I was left with no florist. I then contacted Hi-Way Florist on Henderson and they were extremely friendly and helpful and were able to get many more varieties of flowers than Sonya said she could get, and with less time. I was happy with my flowers in the end and the total was very close to my $750 budget. I have to say, I just don't understand how Sonya can get away with behaving the way she did--but then some segments of the wedding industry seem to have a completely different standard for customer service than the "real world". My advice is to stay away from Sonya's.

Sonya has always put together beautiful bouquets, from something fairly inexpensive, to a special occasion arrangement. She has a gift for using an array of flowers and making them the centre of anyone's attention who sees them. From roses to sunflowers, Sonya brings a nice touch to all of her bouquets. Spend $20 or $25 at her flower shop, and she will melt the heart of that someone special. She truly makes flowers look beautiful together, it's that simple.

The owner is insensitive and rude when things don’t go her way. Twice now we have used her and have had issues and when confronted about it she gets defensive and offers no help or corrective action. It’s going to be hard to maintiab a successful north end business with no north end supporters.

Sonya's Flowers has been our family "go to" for at least 10 years, ranging from occasional flowers (perhaps too often for some people :) to weddings to various other important events. Sonya has proven to be an amazing designer of appropriate flower arrangements and ALWAYS come through with excellent results, creating unbeatable value. We would highly recommend Sonya's Flowers for whatever the occasion or need.

I went in looking for my bouquet for my wedding last week. There was nothing available to look at in the way of catalogs or actual flowers available. I wanted a silk arrangement so I can keep it afterwards. In the process of pulling things up on google and showing her a couple I liked I was told “you don’t want that that’s very country bumpkin”. She indicated after a few more options were shown of what I wanted she had to check her warehouse for availability and would call me the next day. It’s been a week now and I still have not received a call back or the pictures she said she would send me. Also when my mother asked when payment was made she got very snarky with my mother over it and indicated that because she pays up front we have to as well which fine but there is a way to say it politely. So in turn I ended up going elsewhere that afternoon and the place I went has a beautiful selection, a catalog to help you see what you want come to life as well she did not insult my choices and tell me what I wanted but made suggestions. on top of that there was no doubt she had the stuff available and is making it up as we speak!

I was in her shop a week ago with my daughter. We were looking for her bride bouquet which she needed in a couple of weeks. I know that's not much time but she had nothing to show her in the way of catalogues with different bouquet arrangements which most florists have. She told my daughter to Google bouquets which I found unprofessional . She then said she would email my daughter some pictures and availability the next afternoon or so. To this date my daughter has not heard from her. She could at least had the courtesy to email her one way or the other that she could either help her or not. We did find another very accommodating and professional florist that we got her flowers from.Which is dragon fly florist. Very friendly and helpful with catalogues and samples that you can see like most florists have. Maybe if she stuck to one thing instead of trying to sell bits of everything g she may do better. If I didn't have to at least give 1 star to comment on this I would have given 0.

Always a positive experience, Sonya is one of the kindest, sweetest people to deal with. She has a vast knowledge of her products for those who are unaccustomed to care of flowers once taken home. I decided to order a special wreath for my parents gravesite based on the reviews I read here. I was very disappointed. The service was great and personable. I ordered a wreath with very specific flowers. She even went over it with me a few times to make sure this is what I wanted. The design was simple, just two kinds of silk flowers red roses & white carnations and a request for a collar of greenery around the wreath. When I came to pick it up, it was nothing like I ordered. The piece of paper with my instructions was still pinned to it. The wreath included flowers I had not even mentioned ie red carnations, lilies, and a poppy looking flower ? When I asked her why it was different she said she had taken creative license. I told the owner my mother did not like lilies so I would need to remove them. And that I had not ordered red carnations at all !!! In the end due to time constraints I took the wreath anyway. It was not awful, it just was not what I had ordered. In her defense she did offer to re make it for me...for an increased charge. I declined the offer. I have removed the flowers I did not like myself and added the greenery I wanted myself as well. I would not recommend this florist . I will not be dealing there again nor recommend them to my friends and co-workers.

I'm only giving one star because I have to in order to post this review. If I had my choice, I would give zero stars for my experience. I called Sonya because I needed a very specific and important order of flowers for a birthday on Saturday, June 4. I was having trouble getting them from other florists, but she assured me she had them. She seemed very friendly over the phone and we had a great conversation and she knew how important this order was to me. We confirmed that I would pick up the flowers on the Saturday. She told me she would be open until 2:30 on Saturday and I told her I would be there by 1:00. On Saturday morning, I called her shop to confirm the order. There was no answer and I received her answering machine, but there was nothing on the message to indicate that she was closed so I assumed that she was open but busy. I left a message confirming that I would be picking up my order and asking her to call me if there was any change. To my dismay, when I got to her shop, there was a hand written sign on the door stating they would be "closed Saturday, June 4 and re-open on Monday, June 6 at 8:30 am". I called her again and left another message reminding her of the order (hoping she would check her messages or something). In both phone calls I left my phone number. Bottom line, I had to go to a different florist (Hi Way Florist on Henderson) where they did their best to accommodate me but it was impossible to get the exact flowers we needed by then. But they did try hard, and I would definitely recommend them now. Initially, I was worried that maybe there was a family emergency or something that took Sonya away from her shop at the last minute. But when I called her on Monday to follow up, she told me they had water in her shop and had to close for repairs. Given that reason, I feel she could have let me know ahead of time so I had at least a little time to look around to see if I could find what I needed somewhere else, or even pick up my order from her on Friday instead. But even more disappointing is that, even though I left two messages for her about these flowers on Saturday, she didn't even bother to call me herself on Monday in order to apologize and explain. I had to call her to find out what happened. And even then, there was no offer to make things right with me and, I felt, only a weak apology given. The reason I initially called Sonya when I was having trouble finding the flowers was because she had a couple of good reviews on Google. So I'm posting this so others who read Google can hear my experience.

We ordered flowers for a funeral from Sonja’s flowers. The casket red roses with greenery and baby breaths for $345 were beautiful. However, two side pieces for $120 each were embarrassing. Instead of white fluted vase they came in white pails which probably came from Dollar store. The carnations red and white were very sparse. Simply unsatisfactory and embarrassing. We were so disappointed. Save yourself some money. You will be better off going to super market and buying your own flowers. It will cost you fraction of the cost and will look 100% better.

I picked up flowers for my granddaughter's wedding today and they were beautiful fresh and fragrant. When I was ordering them I wasn't sure what the current trends were and Sonya talked me through the process on what was the new style and what was old fashioned. She was a great help and made the experience so easy for me. She even made something I had forgotten about and didn't even charge me for it. She was wonderful and I would recommend her to anyone.
