I contacted the House of Silk to do the flowers for my wedding. Melanie responded to me quickly and helped envision the bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages for my big day. She was always friendly and courteous. She had my arrangements done quickly and they were absolutely beautiful. The work they do here is amazing and they are incredible. Thank you so much for taking care of a big part of our big day!

My fiance and I went to House of Silk for our bridal party flowers and a garland for the head table for our wedding in December 2018. We were pleased with the entire process. At first we went in to just see what they were able to do for us within our budget and we were pleasantly surprised! The quality was (and is still) top notch, as all the bouquets and corsages are silk. Many people thought our flowers were real!

After shopping around at many wedding planning/floral shops to assist my fiancee and I with our wedding planning and floral requirements we settled on House of Silk as they were exceptionally adept at understanding our needs and creating beautiful arrangements for my bride and her bridesmaids. To say we were blown away by the owners (Melanie's) ability to create silk arrangements that blow away "real" ones is an understatement. My wife still has her bouquet on our mantle where as a "real" flower arrangement would have long wilted and died. Melanie herself is super pleasant and easy to talk to and I found her to be invaluable to planning our wedding and even offering us advise on our social.

Contacted them 4 weeks ago to inquire about our wedding flowers for our destination wedding, were more than happy to help, asked me to send lots of pictures, ideas etc and said they would correspond via email as I was coming to Winnipeg for my wedding dress and wanting to pretty much finalize my flowers. Said they would have stuff together for me to look at... 3 weeks went by, calls and emails went unanswered, no idea if they received anything so i stopped by... Yup they got all my emails, then told me they don't do stuff via email lol then why did you tell me you would. Then gets better, they didn't have anything I wanted, wouldn't listen to what colours we wanted either and after telling her numerous times I am leaving tomorrow I was continously asked to come back in a few days or next week!!!! I'm from Swift Current SK, you were told numerous times when I was stopping etc, might help to listen to potential customers. So disorganized and not helpful what so ever. Stay clear, disappointed doesn't even come close to what I felt.

I cannot say enough good things about House of Silk. I would have been completely lost in planning my recent wedding without Mel's amazing eye for design, her patience, and her hard work. She went above and beyond for us as clients, and truly made our small back yard wedding feel so gorgeous and special. The flower arrangements were absolutely stunning, but that was only the tip of the iceberg! Mel helped us with more aspects of wedding planning than I could have even imagined (decor, signage, cake stands, lighting, etc.). They have a way of making every client feel so special, and Mel blew us away with how much time and effort she dedicated to our wedding day. Loved what House of Silk made for my sisters wedding in Ireland! They are so reasonable with pricing as well! We showed a few pictures of what we wanted and they made our boutonnières, bouquets and wrist corsages even better than what we imagined! Now these flowers get to head all the way to Ireland for the big day!

This is Barb Brandt, Savannah's mom. I just wanted to say how amazing Melanie is and how wonderful our experience was with House of Silk!! We were decorating for a banquet for my husbands company, Paul Brandt Trucking. We had ordered absolutely gorgeous garlands for the event and they were stunning! We realized though, that we had ordered 17 and there were only 14. My friend phoned them and within an hour the 3 that were missing were delivered, by Melanie, to our venue which was in Morris!! We had a delightful visit and ended up hugging before she left..she was the sweetest lady!! She is a wonderful person and I was amazed at how she could run all the businesses that she does and be a mom to 3 young children!! What a pleasure meeting her and dealing with House of Silk!!

Mel and her team did an amazing job with my wedding. I came in with no vision. But I did want it classic and elegant. My mom picked one flower and built the whole theme! They did my bouquet, the bridesmaids, flower girls, buttonieres for the groomsmen and dad, and corsages for the mothers/step mothers and help decorate the cake. As well, they had set up and picked up the rentals for the reception, too. I rented the centrepieces, the backdrop behind the wedding party table, and foliage for the front of the table. Well, they blew everyone's mind! They took care of everything and I trusted their vision. I had a spring wedding and many wondered how the heck I got those flowers in April as they were out of season. Until they took a closer look. They looked so realistic. My stepmother-in-law almost put the buttonieres in the fridge to keep them "fresh". Then she realized they were high quality silk. The photographer thought they were real! And even made me "smell" them during the photo shoot. I played along and mentioned afterwards it was silk! The best part? I get to keep my bouquet forever! It's so pretty, I found a home in my living room for it! Not only did they did my wedding, Mel also did my wedding shower - the centrepieces were a hit and yet again guests commented on how I got real flowers in the middle of winter! And 15 years ago, they were hired to decorate the office space I work at. And guess what? The plants and trees still look outstanding after 10 years! That's quality! They are my go to place for housewarming gifts. Great people. Quality products. Reasonable prices. Making visions a reality is their thing.

My wife and I just had our wedding and could not be happier with Melanie and all the staff help and products. The decorations we rented for the venue were exactly what we were looking for and the flowers amazed my wife as she now gets to keep her wedding day bouqet in the exact way it was prepared. The staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful for any changes we needed, allowing for long distance travel for us to rent everything and just helping us with inspiration on other decoration. We would highly recommend them for any wedding needs.

Never thought I would purchase something that was not the real McCoy but many of their silk plants look real so I decided to make a purchase and glad that I did. The customer service was excellent and they gave me a great discount. Another good example of a mom and pop store providing a much better service and pricing compared to a big retailer.

This place is amazing, when you go inside this business you will feel so in ah... as I looked around the store, the quality of the products is wonderful. When you don't know if the plant or flower is real, even when you touch it that is great quality. The owners are so helpful with any questions I had. If you are thinking of a wedding or any events this is the place to get it from!! They will customize your event to suit your needs. Stop in and check this place out... I have to go back to this place as there is a few Christmas gifts I would to get. Wonderful place and wonderful people.

Silk flowers are absolutely gorgeous! They look real, last forever and are even cheaper than ordering real flowers for an event. My sister and I came here to get all her wedding flower needs. The owner was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The arrangements she picked out based on my sister's reference photos were just incredible. My sister is beyond happy with her silk flowers. I highly recommend silk flowers and House of Silk. Charlie the cutest kitty around also lives there, he'll ride on your shoulders if you let him!

My fiancé and I made an appointment for wedding arrangements over a week ago. We arrived at 10:00 for our appointment with Melanie, and she was not there. At 10:30 we asked a staff member to call and see if she was aware of the appointment. We were then told that our appointment would not be honoured. We then got attitude from the staff member saying that “it’s not our fault” and “you are looking to early”. This was in stark contrast to a friend of my wife’s who purchased her flowers from House of Silk almost a year in advance. It amazes me how so many people can be this incompetent and still have a job. Thank you for wasting our time, i look forward to spending money at your competitor.

We went with House of Silk for our wedding flowers and could not be more thrilled! We purchased bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages. We rented centerpieces, garland and standing arrangements. We went in unsure of what we really wanted, but we told the owner what our colours were, and she crafted some incredible bouquets. I was in awe when they were completed. She also recommended some wonderful centerpieces to match our rustic venue, and they were such a hit that we ended up buying one to keep! This was much cheaper than live flowers, which was great. We did not have to worry about our flowers wilting, or our favourite flowers being out of season. As well, my bridesmaids and I get to keep our bouquets forever. I would absolutely recommend House of Silk to any bride and groom. We got everything we wanted and more.

SAVED MY WEDDING! I had though about making my own bouquets and bought all the materials from Michael's; however, this turned out to be more of a daunting task than I anticipated. I emailed and called House of Silk in a panic as it was only a couple of months before my wedding and I still didn't have any flowers. They immediately put me at ease and assured me this was no issue and they could get my order together. They would even use my materials I bought if I wanted (I returned them though). Marianne was the one who helped me and she was absolutely fabulous! She got my vision and even recommended things I didn't even think of. My bouquet was STUNNING. More beautiful than I ever imagined. The bridesmaids bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages we just as beautiful. THANK YOU Marianne and House of Silk staff for taking a huge amount of stress off of me. I still have my bouquet in a vase in my room :)
