Could have a wider variety of fruits. I would like to see a bigger selection of lucerne products come back. Prices could be lower but the staff is great. Friendly. Good quality products. I would also like to see Luna pass come up to the shelf

Bought a two litre of Complements Black Cherry Soda for $1.39 plus deposit, 4 litre of 2% Lucerne Milk for $4.57 plus deposit, A 16 pack of Iogo yoghurt cups for $5.99, a watermelon quarter for $1.96, and an adult bus pass for $97.00. The bill was $111.68 total. Service was friendly. I had no problems finding anything. It would have been nice if there was more pop in stock.

Horrible. Nothing worse then waiting in line. Their self checkout closes @ 730 pm and after that youre forced to wait in one of two lines while their staff makes paint drying seem fast as they carry on a conversation with other staff or regular customers. Avoid at all costs after 730pm.

Most of the staff has been very courteous when I shop without a mask. However 4 ladies were not. A cashier refused to hand me my receipt saying You don't have a mask on, stand back so I can reach it out to you. I notice she was very courteous to the masked customers in front of and behind me. The lady at self-serve and 2 other guards gave me the same cold shoulder while greeting masked customers professionally. I will definitely continue shopping here as services has always been top notch except for the aforementioned ladies. Maybe some training would help their conduct? Thank you.

Great Safeway. But disappointed in how they handle complaints. Shopped here for over 30 years. Safeway does not always listen to their cashiers. Vouchers are given out to same shopper over and over again because this shopper alleges incidents that happen with cashiers. Why is it these incidents never ever happen with other customers ? A pattern perhaps?

These guys have a great selection and are right next to a main bus-line with a Walmart less than a block away. They don't seem to have much in their personal hygiene section however, I went looking for razors and couldn't find them.

Unlike many of the Safeway stores in the area, this one hasn't had a remodel/refresh yet but don't let that stop you from shopping here. They have a good staff and obviously the location works hard to serve its customers. For example their inventory selection is more diverse and we noticed that they carry many of our favourite items that other locations have stopped carrying or never carried. They also have items that obviously cater to their local, regular customers requests. ???? Recommend.

I have never in my life been treated with such disgraceful and degrading customer service. I was harassed and disrespected with obvious and blatant prejudice. The company's theft prevention staff and implemented policies are radically unprofessional, innapropriate and outright discriminating. I am a frequent shopper at this location and have spent thousands of dollars which have paid the wages of those employed. I have never given any justification or implication that I am a thief and to be openly vilified in a demeaning and humiliating way is infuriating and outrageous. I have plethora of experience in the customer service industry and I cannot recall a single protocol, training or policy that encourages the staff to represent a recognized company is such a brutish and disgusting manner. I will be following through with the Better Business Bureau and the head office to ensure this doesn't continue to other customers. I will boycott this company and publicly share my horrific experience with every social media platform I have. Safeway has permenantly lost a valuable consumer.

Safeway has changed their bagging system to now require your own bags and package goods yourself. This normally wouldn't be an issue because lots of other stores do this. But safeways prices are exorbitant compared to the competition, superstore is much cheaper and also requires you to bag your own groceries. Furthermore, safeway's selection is lacking in comparison to most other grocery stores right now. It is an over prices and small place to shop just for essentials.

The quality and availability has been steadily declining over the years, the shelving of product doesn’t feel intuitive, the self checkout shuts down in the evening as does the doors next to them. This Safeway use to be the one and only store I would use and now I go out of my way to get groceries elsewhere.

This is my local Safeway. I like the shop itself, always fairly clean, the staff - particularly the evening crew are quite helpful and considerate. There are times that the fruit and veg are pretty sad to look at, but that’s not too often. I will commend all that work there for putting up with the petty thieves that unfortunately make their way through, however the team should not feel it is their responsibility to stop a criminal. I have even encountered 2 female employees chase after a shoplifter. Yikes! It’s a wonderful store. Thank you.

The prices are usually a bit more than competitors, BUT OH MY GOODNESS IT IS SO WORTH IT. The service they offer, as well as the quality of the bakery, and the deli makes it better than any other grocery chain. So fresh, so good! Oh and there's no way I could forget to mention, the sandwiches they make for you at the deli are far superior to any Subway as they use fresh ingredients, fresh baked bread, and they are so dang nice and helpful about it all! (You can even get it toasted) Five stars!

Have gone there a few times for their western union with no issues, today dealing with Faye was a different issue. Went to the desk and instantly a man asked how he could help me, let him know I was needing a western union he called over the speaker for help. Faye walked out of the cash office and to a check out and said "Uh, you'll have to wait" while she did a pickup. I worked at a Safeway in cash office before, you help customer service desk first, but whatever I waited the 5 or so minutes. She walked over and immediately was rude. Asked for the MTCN number, gave it to her, then she said "and what's your name?" Told her and she cut me off, rolled her eyes and said "uh no. I need your ID" ok, well ask for it. You only asked my name. I have a PR card which for some reason dont have addresses on them, but that has never been an issue when dealing with Rick there or any other WU location. She then again, rolled her eyes and said "I need something with an address". Stated I didnt know if I had anything, it's never been an issue before and if there was an issue I'd be happy to go elsewhere. Found a piece of paper with an address on it and gave it to her. She acted like I was taking up valuable time away from her. I had to repeat my phone number multiple times because she kept cutting me off. The type of behavior and attitude she had would have never been acceptable when I worked there. We would have gotten chewed out for it. Said thank you and left the store instead of getting what I needed. Honestly didnt want to deal with Faye anymore.

Good selection over all prices are on the higher side as is expected by safeway/sobeys. We shop here for quick pick up items but not for our big grocery shopping trips.

Waaaaaaaaay too expensive. Preys on local low income housing expect to pay 10%-100% more than IGA, Superstore, Costco, No frills etc. Even their sales are overpriced. And this is no Sunterra market, much of the produce is borderline.

This is a well managed Safeway with that has several long-term staff members. I have be going to this location for years and the service has improved a lot, though they are still a little slow on "cheap Tuesdays". Their produce quality has improved a lot, but it is still a little inconsistent. I think that they may have new staff in the bakery because the quality has gone down in that department over the last year or so. Overall, I still recommend this location.

Went through yesterday with the senior he was looking for Mandarin oranges they didn't have any. The person I talk to said just take a case of those other ones they're just as good that's not what he wanted. I guess the good thing was after spending over $100 they gave us a $0.05 a liter off fuel at Shell or Safeway Gas stations

I've never been to a worse Safeway. Items are often miscoded with wrong price, takeaway food is often freezer burned and their produce is never fresh and even out of code. Do yourself a favor and go to the Walmart a few steps away.

I walked into the store and saw 4 people not wearing masks. Several staff members walked past them and did not say anything. I spoke with manager Chris who informed me that they do not enforce the mask policy. They no longer have a staff at the door monitoring. I will not be shopping at at Safeway, related to the response from manager Chris. From your burnout healthcare worker

In response to the comment regarding gift cards...every self check has a note on the machine indicating it gift cards muat be purchased at customer service. I have never had a problem with this location. I havent used the regular tills in a while, i like that they have the self check out for qhen i have minimal items to purchase. Location has always been clean. I dont really recall too many employees asking if I needed help finding something but I am often in and out right away

You find everything and anything here except for cottage cheese.... Pricing ususal, but some products are unexpectedly cheaper than wallmart. I like to buy my fresh groceries and baked products from here. They are fresh and tastes amazing... Must try muffins and cheese cake slices. They also have good cheese products.. I found almost every type of cheese there. Its my go to place for shopping grocery.

The store seems a little disorganized. I shop at a number of different Safeway stores around the city. This one is the only one I can't easily find what I was looking for. I asked two different staff members, where the Mexican food shelves would be, neither knee.

Typical Safeway but make sure if you get hot chicken tenders or chicken wings or whatever make sure you count them because the lady there we asked for ten chicken tenders for my boys at first she gave us 9 then I asked her for one more she dumps them out and puts in 8 instead.... So I go back and ask for someone else to help me out and finally I get the ten chicken tenders I originally asked for.... Someone needs to go back to school to learn how to count I guess lol

My husband bought a flower for my birthday this morning from this safeway and the flower came wrecked. The lady at the store wrapped it too tight and it turned out as squished flower. It was very disappointing. I will never buy a flower from this Safeway.

It's always about location, it's in a great neighbourhood for the people who live in Meadowlark which is in Edmonton Alberta! Haven't been in one since I moved to BC, and just moved back hopefully to go back to work! Anyways the store layout is different than most Safeway you go into! Towards the middle of the front of the store you always find coffee & fresh bakery goods! Self check out to, customer related check out which is always busy! Then theirs there meat department, bakery for those fresh items usually by the time of day you get there! It depends on what you're looking for! There's even fresh cut flowers! For that someone, or not someone special in your life! The best I recommend is go take a look
