I don’t understand how this place has good reviews either. Sure the flowers are nice, but the prices are way too high and the service is bad. I’m newly into my plant hobby and when visiting the store for the first time, the lady working was unwelcoming and condescending. Don’t expect genuine help when you come here. Save yourself from this store’s pretentiousness and go somewhere else.

The succulents are pretty cheap but contain such little soil that they constantly fall right out of their pots. They're super tiny (cute) but the pots are so small the succulents barely fit!

I went in today looking for a specific plant as a gift, walked in the store and the woman was dealing with another customer but didn't even acknowledge me. I noticed the plant I was looking for right by the door so I went to look at it and the woman yelled at me saying I wasn't allowed to touch anything then went back to the other customer without asking me to wait a minute until she could get to me. I left and found what I wanted at House of Plants just down the street.

I've been a customer at Bel Fiore's for a couple years now. It is my preferred flower shop and in my opinion is by far the best in quality, selection and customer service. Even with my student budget, I've always left with flowers and plants that look amazing and last for a long time. The banana flower pictured is still in my windowsill and was given to me at Valentine's day over a month ago. Minoo is an amazing shop owner that delivers friendly customer service far beyond typical small talk, inquiring about your life and then actually remembering it when next you come in. She is always looking to add new and interesting flowers beyond the classics, which is something I appreciate. My partner and I around anniversaries, birthdays, and valentine's day have to time our visits so that we don't bump into each other and ruin the surprise since both of us always go to Bel Fiore for special occasions. I've also been impressed with the shops rotating selection of indoor plants. I have a sizeable collection of my own and am always looking to check more off my list and Minoo regularly manages to get some in (like the mistletoe cactus pictured) that I haven't seen any other shops carry and which are typically hard to find. In summation, Bel Fiore is the best!

Everything you buy from Bel Fiore looks amazing. Just stepping into the shop, you can tell the owner puts a lot of effort into her work. Her arrangements are well-made and beautiful, but most importantly, they're creative! These aren't your standard bouquets and potted plants. From floor to ceiling, there are stunning displays made with the most unique materials --like ostrich eggs, to name one example. Nowhere else in Ottawa can you find such an incredible collection. Best of all, the owner is a wonderful, kind woman. When I made my first terrarium, she gave me all the advice and materials to keep it growing for years to come. A passionate horticulturalist, she truly cares about the arrangements she's selling, and about the people she sells to. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Very charming, rustic-looking shop, but unfortunately *very* poor customer service. I visited the shop for the first time a few weeks ago and was greeted by a woman who I believe to be the owner. When I asked about the pricing of some of the succulents she barked "No pricing! No prices listed. You ask me for the prices." When I inquired about a small succulent, I learned the price was $40 (I have recently paid $7 for the same plant at Herb and Spice!) This lady was very abrupt in her manner and I felt rushed and shooed out of the shop after purchasing one of the few more reasonably priced plants that were on sale. I understand that this very small shop only admits entry of one customer at a time (due to Covid-19 restrictions) but this is not an excuse for brash, ill-mannered behavior. I spent a total of 5 minutes in this shop and will not be going back!

I also love how involved she is in our Golden Triangle/Ottawa community. Support local businesses! Please do not bother with this flower shop, there are better ones in Ottawa *cough* nectar flowers *cough* The lady is very stuck up and rude. If you don’t look rich she will speak down to you. Asked for a simple bouquet of flowers and she kept discouraging me from making the bouquet bigger. I threw my clothing together in the dark so I knew I was not dressed nice enough but to this extent? Imagine walking into any fancy clothing store and the store employees looking down on your and assuming you can’t afford anything? Its that but for a flower store. By the way I am a young adult and people love to make assumptions about different generations.
