Cannot recommend Tasha enough. Seriously, ladies and gents. Tasha is the real freaking deal when it comes to event florals.
My husband and I hired Tasha to design and create all the florals for our wedding at Ancaster Mill this past June and three-months later, we're still receiving comments from guests saying that it was the most beautiful and unique floral design they had ever seen before.
Seriously. It was.
When hiring a florist, we were looking for 3 things:
1) Style & Collaboration: My husband and I did not want a classical wedding. Many of the Hamilton florists that we had spoken to excelled in traditional, classical floral design - which is beautiful, but not our personality. What drew us to Tasha was that she had a really contemporary eye for colour, pattern, texture, and form. She has a certain flare that is decidedly-Tasha. She took the time to absorb and appreciate our desired vision. And even with us not being able to eloquently describe what we wanted, she created a design proposal that captured everything that my partner and I were looking for. I was truly grateful for the collaboration and so incredibly thankful that she had such a strong creative vision.
2) Affordability: Many of the florists that we had spoken with had hard and fast numbers for various arrangements. Tasha took the time to work with me on my budget so that it matched what I was looking for aesthetically and financially. This was SUPER key!!
3) Attention to Detail: I've been involved in many weddings where bouquets have pins sticking out of them or you can see floral oasis peaking out from underneath. With Tasha, there is no such thing. If anything, she obsesses over the details to a level that I can't begin to comprehend. For example, she hand-dyed all of the ribbons that wrapped my bridal party's bouquets. For our reception centre pieces, she created these intricate tablescapes that incorporated various florals, paper sculptures, candles, and citrus fruits, some of which she deliberately and painstakingly peeled to reveal such a delicious scent that filled the room. She also does well to use recyclable materials like chicken wire vs. disposable, one-time-use floral oasis.
Seriously. Tasha is a rare talent and delight. Anyone searching for a florist for their upcoming wedding or event needs to hire Tasha pronto.
