We are a year into covid and this place is STILL an organizational disaster. The staff treat people like lepers. This is the only grocery store with mega long lines all through the store and huge waits...very few tills open. Its almost like they like the idea of delaying people, making them wait, ruining their day. Terrible experience. Won't shop here again. Other grocery stores are completely different than this.

One of the larger grocery stores in Guelph. There is a large selection for most things. An organic department, flower shop, pharmacy, deli, olive bar, bakery (They do birthday cakes to order). Recently, their photo department closed (which is a shame, they were good and good value), they only have self-service photo printing kiosks now. Friendly staff, but often hard to get help in aisles.

They don't enforce mask wearing. Twice now I see a costumer walking around without a mask, touching everything and not one employee says anything. He even gets through with the cashier, no one says anything. Seems like management doesn't care about anyone's safety if this is allowed.

It's more expensive than most nearby stores, but the quality of the meats and produce is also quite a bit better. If all I need are basic canned goods I'll go to Walmart, but if I'm cooking for myself, I always choose Zehrs.

Man I gotta say when I saw the sale on the yogurt I really enjoyed going to the store like before it was just a normal Zhers but when they brought that yogurt in it was a WHOLE NOTHER LEVEL I MEAN I GET MORE WITH THE SMALLER CUPS then I do with the BIG CONTAINER on top of it I have allergies and I can finally have flavored yogurt like banana strawberry and peach and ends up having actual peach chunks in it. So that's pretty cool. I sent like probably $30 on yogurt because of the sale. Like it happened twice so that's pretty cool. However the store is not perfect since they took away the presidents choice frozen dumplings so I can no longer have dumplings with my college experience. Yeah also there was this one guy I called "GateKeeper" probably the coolest staff member there I asked for his phone number when I was starting out in college and it's almost the end of the first year and I still haven't contacted him and I'm wondering if it's like to late to say hi or not. I feel kinda bad and I don't have yogurt to help my troubled nerves aaaaaaah sheeeeit I also don't have ice cream I goto to go get ice cream now...and it dark nice, nice

Good to see they're keeping up with technology with their self-checkout and new shop online services. We haven't tried the online ordering, drive through pickup service yet but I like the concept. Now, if they could just find a way to deliver to my house, that would be the bomb.

I like Zehrs generally and shop at other locations regularly. This is one of their larger stores with lots of traffic. They seem perpetually understaffed and the staff always seems too busy to take time with customers which hasn't been my experience at other Zehrs stores. I've heard similar complaints from my friends. The meat, produce, etc. are up to the same high standards as other Zehrs though.

This is a large format with a significant Joe Fresh component. Prices are more premium than the No Frills banner of course with a much larger selection and stock. As a Loblaw banner, the PC Optimum reward program is, in my opinion, the best rewards system in Canada at least for earning free groceries between here, Shoppers Drug Mart and now Esso/Mobil.

This particular Zehrs store is my preferred location and largely due to proximity, the one I most frequently shop at. My only complaint is that no matter what day of the week, or what time of day I am shopping, there are never enough cashiers on duty to adequately handle the large amount of consumer traffic stampeding the checkout aisles. A few more staff members would go a long way in improving the customer experience, especially as the rest of the facility is actually very well organized and maintained.

I hate the fact that 1 item cannot be on sale anymore! You can only get a half decent deal if you buy things in bulk now!! Makes Zehrs more $$$, but they certainly don't accommodate customers that are buying for 1 or 2 people in a household!!!! But They do have some great looking produce and some PC products are super yummy!! I definitely would recommend the "Southern Crunch Chicken"! You have to purchase a large box, but from a full meal to chicken on a bun and even cutting one up and tossing in your salad...I always find use for this chicken ????!

Its weird but the food aisle is closer to exit rather than the entrance. The store is roughly half grocery and half home decor and outerwear. Was nice and clean and when I was there the shipping carts were all put away and not strewn about the parking lot like other grocery stores.

Been there for Birthday Cake, called 3 times before to get info about writing greetings on the cake, could get through due to no responses from bakery department. As I was there, one of the staff from bakery department said no body there to help me to get greetings on cake and the person was not trained, it was frustrating as I had to manage something else on the top of the cake instead any writings.

I've been going to this location since opening day. Management has done an outstanding job keeping this grocery store one of the best in Guelph. They're very good at updating the store with new displays (like Superbowl season etc.) and highlighting the front entrance with new promos. LOVE! LOVE! My Zehers. Friendly. Kind. Polite staff at the click and collect. Back in 2016 when this service first started i was hooked. I find myself only shopping online. Seriously why do it any other way. You shop online at home. Place your order. Park at the location. Call. A few mintues later a polite friendly staff memeber comes to your car, loads it and bring you a debit machine to pay. You dont have to step out of the car. Well i do. I find it goes alot faster and the staff is super nice and cool. Oh if something's missing they let you know way ahead of time (via email/phone call) and give you options. Seriousy love this place. Best Zehers in Guelph!!!

Great store and always a fantastic variety and selection of food and produce. One main complaint is the SLOW service at the checkouts. Regardless of day or time, there is ALWAYS a line and rarely enough staff to help bag etc. There is one particular cashier who is noticeable slow in the beer lane, which deters me from purchasing beer when I see her on the till. She will have side bar conversations with fellow staff members etc to slow the process down even further. Slightly frustrating.

This should be the standard for Zehrs. The place is well lit and kept clean. The staff are friendly but suboptimal at helping. There are always lots of checkout lanes. The placing of the photo studio and electronics is terrible, because they are behind the checkouts. It is a complete Zehrs with Deli, Bakery, Clothing and cooking classes upstairs.

I have been using PC Express since March 2020 and I have nothing but praise for the service and safety measures. I normally wait less than five minutes for a pick up. Acceptable grocery store.. I've been shopping here for groceries with my family for a long time. When the Costco opened, everyone went there. I mean it's a good alternative if you don't have a Costco card or you forgot it at home. The deals are little concerning, and the self checkout only pays with debit/credit. You can shop online and pick it up from the store which is great. The, what I like to call 'the clearance shop', is an alright, but sketchy place, but there's outdated clothes there. I like the Mark's in the store, great addition. I remember they had an electronics place in the store, but then it got downgraded into a photo Centre, and a phone place opened up there. You can get headphones there for a decent price.

Pharmacy has good customer service. I give them 5 stars. The produce is sad, asking top dollar for decaying fruit and vegetables. I see this often when picking out the good from bad. Also had a 4L bag of milk that was sour as soon as I brought it home. The 4pack cheese bread was stale. The selection is great for oraganics and beauty products and ingredients you can’t find at no frills or food basics, Zehrs usually has them. Joe fresh clothing is cheap as in quality, it’s loses its shape fast after one wash and doesn’t look good after a few wears. Cashing out is fast as they always have Enough staff to cash you out. Bonus on the newly put in self serve check out.

I was treated very poorly by a cashier at Zehr's because of my service dog. She told me I should not have dogs in a grocery store. I explained that they are service dogs and she said it wasn't right and she'd never heard of a service dog. She told me she was allergic and then whispered "its disgusting". I spoke with Steve the manager on duty who apologized, but didn't take my number. Steve said the cashiers have training on service dogs. The lady in line behind me came up to me and said the way I was treated was horrible. I was polite and tried to educate without any success. Obviously I won't be returning to Zehrs.

Since the renovation, some designer thought it would be a great idea to change the isles and make the support posts not in where the shelves are like before but rather in the middle of the isles making it difficult to maneuver, especially with a full cart. Then there are all the displays in the middle of the isles that one has to move to get at products. Going shopping to purchase sale items and half of them are out of stock. Living out of town its disheartening to happen every time in there. It used to be our regular shopping store, now its about 5th on our list, only because there are a couple products there we haven't been able to find at other stores yet. otherwise we would only continue to go for the pharmacy, which has been terrific. if I could rate that separately I would give that department a 5. I personally stopped shopping there alone, I need my husband with me to push the trolley, its just that difficult. Then there are the staff, not always overly friendly. There is one gentleman that has been there a long time, he helps pack and gets carts and does a lot of things. He is the man! I like him very much, he's awesome! best staff they have.

Food is easy to find, prices aren't too high, store is generally very clean. Mik the bagger is incredibly unprofessional and pushy. He always says he's moving my water to be easier to remove but he actually makes it worse. Today I told him it's actually easier the way I have it in the cart and he got snotty and rude telling me that he disagrees and he's entitled to his opinion. He then proceeded to ignore my freezer bag and bagged things haphazardly. Love the store, but I actively try to avoid this old dude.

My Neighbourhood Grocers. I only go for the people who I have come to know over the last 7 years working there. Good food selection. The bakery, deli and hot food counters are the reason for the low score. I have never seen anyone on these departments crack a smile. And so I avoid them and stick to Produce (nice folks). There is also a photolab as well as a Optician on site that I use. Store Manager Scott is always helping out. Some improvement in the three staff areas above may make me reconsider a higher score.

Bought 3 $100 gift cards and asked for triplicate receipts so as each recipient would get a receipt with their card and cashier wanted to know exactly why I wanted a receipt for each one and accused me of going to return them for the reason I wanted 3 receipts! Are you serious, I was paying for them and it was my business but I felt like she was the police and you cant even return gift cards anyway. Didn't she know that? She was so out of line and should not be with the public. Zhers train your cashiers better.

This Zehrs is definitely my preferred one in Brantford. Much cleaner and friendlier than the other one. However I was very disappointed that when there was a really good sale on a certain item they were sold out of it for the entire sale! I went there three times and nothing! Why have a sale? Now I don't really go there because I hate to drive all the way there just to not find what I'm looking for.

5 phone calls to have a shopping cart picked up Manager was extremely rude Questioning me how the cart got in our neighbourhood Explained cart filling with garbage End result took 4 weeks cart picked up Zehrs employee who picked up cart threw the garbage on the ground littering, shame taking this many calls to correct a situation then throwing the garbage out of the cart that I apparently must have bothered them asking to pick it up, especially given there are students one would assume Zehrs carried about the community and littering SHAME

Zehrs is a nice grocery store with fresh produce and items are usually easy to find. I just had issues today with staff... They left a bunch of clothing racks and step ladders in aisles blocking stuff I needed to get at with a stroller! And the lady monitoring the self checkout spent the whole time standing in front of my machine, staring at me while I was scanning my items. Very unsettling!! Did she think I was going to try to steal stuff?? As I am a tired new mom I ended up staring back at her until she looked else where =_=

with everything going on right now i find zehrs to be clean and doing well with making people stay away from others,they have you wait outside until the next person comes out,wait at checkout until the person ahead is finished,they also have a hand washing station on your way in,they also have a limit of 2 on grocery items like milk,eggs,meat,frozen vegatables,and fruit and other items. If i had to choose which grocery store to go to it would be zehrs 100% some people think way too expensive but my family is on a budget and i dont find it to expensive they also help you pack your groceries,but because of the virus they can not help you if you have your own bags,but they are offering free plastic bags and still help,you can bring your own they just can not touch them ,all and all zehrs is a great store. By the way thanks to all workers at zehrs ????

Reviewing a grocery store seems a bit preposterous given the only real expectation is cleanliness, inventory and getting through the checkouts with limited hassle. I half expected that only those who had a negative experience would take the time to air their grievances. That is until I entered this location. Like other reviews of here, this location wins on cleanliness and inventory. What sets it apart though is their hot deli department. I have no idea why any of the fast food locations are in business, because this place offers your choice of a hot or cold meal for a much better price. The ladies behind the counter, specifically Judy, Sue, Marissa and Becky seem to treat their job as if they are feeding their own family. (If anyone is looking to be adopted by an experienced mother...you may want in inquire if they are excepting anymore children...age not restricted!) For me, I'd pass by the local fast food joints for a healthy chicken sandwich from this deli!

Whilst it may be kinda pricey, it has everything you need. If it had a furniture/appliance section you could basically outfit your whole house with stuff from here. Loblaws prices aside, the managers have gone way too far with Covid-19 measures, you'll wait outside for the same amount of time you'll spend inside. Covid-19 is just a convenient excuse/scapegoat at this point, no other grocery stores have lines, and they're just as busy. Take your business just up the road to Food Basics or even Sobey's, they have paper bags instead of environment killing plastic, better prices, and you won't spend an entire afternoon there.
