Recently I've gone to this store as I've discovered they're one of the only locations in Fredericton which sell Testor's model paints. If you go, I find this store is always clean and everything easy to find. I do find they often have sales that you should watch for and take advantage of, as they do occur regularly and usually have large savings (i.e. 50% off)

My only complaint is that they insist on using coupons, meaning if you go there without one you will always feel like you aren't getting the best deal. Whatever your craft, Michaels has the raw materials. Prices are reasonable and there are sales often. The entrance is wheelchair with automatically opening doors. The washrooms are also accessible. Staff are always willing to help reach items from high shelves and give advice on projects.

Sign up for their club card, you get regular emails with coupons to use in store, but be sure to read the exemption list before making your purchase. Finding it difficult to find the pens I need. They've sorted store with different brands like Artist Loft, Crafter's, etc but running all around the store just for pens it weird. There was another customer in the same situation. Pens all over store, and couldn't find. They should put all pens : chalk, acrylic paint, gel, etc in same rows. Same with paint, and etc. That way it's all in 1 place. Then if they want to ocd it, they can display with the brand's. Also noticing prices are really high here. There's something at the Dollarama for $4 but here, it's exactly the same size for $10. Outlandish. Aside from those things, I do enjoy looking at the unique items like buttons etc, and the fabric sqaures at cheaper than Walmart. Ranging from $1.99-2.47 whereas at Walmart it's $2.97. Pretty nifty. Though the flannel, and cotton, fleece fabrics at $17+ and that's a bit crazy prices. It's great with coupon. Otherwise... I like the location, as it's got library Emily Carr, Petstore, shoppers, and downstairs Walmart. So, if your family is bored, they've got options. Us crafters? We can spend hours here haha.

Michael's is a wonderful store yet the lack of staff ready to help is a real problem; at least that is when I visited the store on November 23. The store has so much to offer that without helpers shopping becomes a marathon while searching for what is needed. Hopefully, that is only my experience. I will surely go back but that issue should be addressed.

I love Michael's when I hit a crafty urge, especially for acrylic and cotton fibres. Sometimes the prices can disappoint me though, like I don't reeeally want to pay this much for a pack of stickers, but the 40-50% off coupon helps. The staff are always super friendly and I know they can't do anything about the prices and whatnot.

Michael's is a big box store with supplies for many different kinds of crafts, but if you are seriously into your craft you will probably prefer to go to a specialty store that has better variety and quality in the specialty area. It's the difference between a department store and a boutique. Handicap access is pretty good, with flat access and wider aisles. Parking and bathrooms are accessible, too. You might need help to reach items on higher shelves.

Craft store that has great choices for many things. If you are in a hurry and have no time to order things online, this store will be a good choice. I normally do not buy full price items as it always has discount coupons available. So, checking its website for coupon is a must before you pay (aim for 40% to 60% off). Someone may still gets their printed flyer. The coupons are in there too.

Large craft store, but it feels very cramped. Barely any room near the Halloween costumes and displays, and you have to go a few rows away just to get around. However, they do have a lot of awesome decorations for all seasons.

I use to love going to Michaels but lately every time I go in there things that say they’re ‘50% off’ or ‘buy one get one free’ signs actually aren’t. You always have to read the fine print. Also anytime I try to use one of the coupons on a regular priced item, the stuff I want never qualifies but if you want to go buy the same things for double the price and then use the coupon that’s ok. No thanks. Things are just too over priced and I’m tired of being disappointed.

Michaels has a little bit of everything, but they're also a little pricey and not super specialized. Fine for the casual crafter, but I often prefer ordering online or going to a boutique for projects I'm more serious about. Not the greatest place to go if you want to ask staff questions about a project... they mostly leave you alone and, again, aren't supposed to be specialized. They do have a lot of cute knick knacks that can be used for home decor. Kind of hard to browse without buying anything ????

Helpful service reps however the company needs to either put in touchless POS terminals or make sure they are being cleaned. My last shopping trip the first POS machine had a black blot on screen so couldn't read the amount or account info. After moving to another spot that POS was disgustingly dirty the keys were grey with build up dirt. Yuck!!!!

A large chain store selling art and crafting supplies, frames, and decor items. Decent selection (smaller than the one in Langford), but understaffed like most box stores. Seem to often be out of the colour of paint that I need, so stocking seems to be an issue. Love checking out their decor items though, especially for Halloween. Definitely foolish to buy anything at full price though - so many sales and daily coupons make it obvious there is an enormous markup on full price items. (All Michaels, not specifically this one.) Staff are friendly and helpful, though not particularly knowledgeable, which is understandable given the large variety of products. Would be nice if box stores would staff each department/section and train their employees more thoroughly in their assigned areas.

I'm like a wicked crafty guy! Meaning I love making crafts, doing art stuff. Getting my hands dirty or keeping them clean. Painting, drawing. I've learned calligraphy when in junior high school. I had a top of the line pencil set from 8H to 8B. I've made dreamcatchers, cedar headbands, aluminum casted pieces, acrylic painting on canvas. Anyways, I'll stop there???????????? Ur here to read my post of Michael's. Well, this store is like being in heaven for me. Personally, if I was like wicked rich, I'd spend lots of time in there getting stuff???? I want that, oh and that. And that and that and that and that. Hey, that too! They have the best acrylic paints and also they rotate their deals on their paints. They have the newest cool gel pens around. I bought every color that they have. Time to brighten up the world around me!

This store has a very large selection of art supplies and other fun things for decorating. I enjoy their seasonal selection. There is very large amount of parking at uptown if you know how the parade works. Can be intimidating for people new to the area.

Had most of what I was looking for. Sizes were decent too for myself it's hard finding things that fit my lenght but aren't too big waist wise. Pants were a bit short but with a 32 waist it usually is. Friendly staff and decently priced!

This is an amazing place for finding art/craft -related things that you cannot find elsewhere! Before browsing in the store, you might not realize that there are things that you actually need. Lol Parking, however, can sometimes be challenging, especially in busy times of the year like Christmas. It used to be so aweful, but with the new signs and lights etc. it is actually better. That said, I love the store!

First of all, Michael's as a chain of stores is WAY overpriced. If I was rating the chain they'd only get 3 stars. For this review I am rating this location only: I visit almost every time I'm at the Uptown Shopping Centre. They have so many cool items here for any kind of creative project whether you're a complete DIY virgin to the top working professional. The store is always well organized and clean, even when I visited during the busy Christmas season. Staff is usually friendly, but they could stop and ask if you need help more often while going about the aisles. Overall a great places to get ideas and pick up some great quality craft supplies.

From about November on to after Christmas Michael's stores are pretty impossible to shop in if you have fragrance allergies. The smell, that I have been told is scented pinecones, circulates through the whole store. And yes, I do know the now have better online shopping with curbside pickup, but sometimes you just want to be able to see the items firsthand.

Awesome selection for every artists needs. There is a lot of various types of tools from cake decorating to t-shirt for printing on. The service Is helpful and kind. The rows are labeled rather well, but the customer service helps immensely when tracking down any particular items. Definitely a great store to find practically everything and they have a coupon service that emails you deals as well.

I spent an hour in that store this evening looking at scrapbooking supplies. I had a book picked out with some supplies and wandered over to the clearance section. There was several scrapbooks on clearance. I found a book that was 41.99 on for 24.99 and then another price tag(same green coloured tag) with the price 24.99 now 8.99. Inspecting the book--there appeared to be nothing wrong with it. I finished shopping. When I walked up to the cash and it scanned in at 24.99 I pointed to the tag. She called over the other cashier. Who began to argue with me(my husband was present for this conversation) that they wouldn't mark down the book that much--it was already an incredible deal at 24.99. I explained to her it was in the clearance section. She kept repeating "we wouldn't do that. We wouldn't mark it down. Also it's in pen and we wouldn't write it in pen". The tag is the same as the previous. It's under the plastic of the book--I certainly didn't place the tag there...and yet you refuse to honor that price tag. I left all products on the counter. I will not be returning. I work in retail and can tell you that we would honor a price listed on merchandise. Absolutely poor customer service this evening. I will get my crafting supplies online.

No staff to help, empty racks and shelves, customers are rude because they can't find what they drove across the city hoping to get and are frustrated. Negative experience. I'm signed up for receiving emails of their specials, so I take advantage of that and receive 40 or 50 percent off one or more items. It really helps to keep the bill down. They have a huge inventory so you are bound to get what you wanted or a very good alternative.
