I have 2 nephews and a niece who graduated this year, so we thought we’d give each of them whatever they want, and each of their parents as well, for being such fabulous parents and good friends. Last weekend was Oak Bay Grad. My nephew, Zac, didn’t really have a clue about flowers, boutonieres, corsages, but my sister filled him in on how it’s done. His date had a lovely purple dress, but he’d already chosen a blue shirt and a suit with blue stripes before he’d asked her. They went to Miria, and she helped Zac choose a purple orchid for his lapel, and Kristen chose a white bracelet. Ruth says they were the best dressed couple at the Oak Bay Grad, very Grace Kelly, and the flowers that Miria gave them just pulled the entire look together. The purple orchid accented her dress perfectly and her white flowers accented his suit, I saw the photos, it was just lovely! Zac learned a lot too about some of the finer things in life, like flowers. Only 2 more grads to go! Thanks Miria.

Miria truly is a master florist. I walked into her shop for the first time at 10:17am on Friday morning and asked if it was at all possible to have two flower arrangements made for a photo shoot... in 15 minutes! Miria asked me if I knew what I wanted or what size I needed the arrangement. I knew that I wanted it to be white and green and have a contemporary style. Basically the pieces needed to enhance the neutral kitchen we were photographing and add texture. She said she could do it, so I went and got a coffee down the street! I didn’t even have time to do much more than order my coffee before it was almost 10:45 and I hurried back to the shop. The two arrangements were even better, and way more interesting, than what I had envisioned. Only a master could put them together so artfully while still helping walk-in customers - and in less than 15 minutes. She even helped me pack them into my car. For my next photo shoot I will give Daisy Chain an ADVANCED order and I can hardly wait to see what Miria does.

I happened to to be at work and wanted the flowers delivered to my wife at home as a surprise. My wife left the house before the flowers were delivered, but Daisy Chain Florist delivery team managed to track me down at work to deliver it to me in time to get it to my wife. And did I mention the flowers were awesome? Thank you very much. I appreciate that service a lot.

My mother recently ordered a bouquet for me, as a congratulations for passing a difficult course at work. When the bouquet arrived, it was made up of Gerber daisies, lilies, and roses. The lilies fell off the stem before opening. Gerber daisies, in my experience, usually come with a sleeve to reinforce the stem. These ones did not, and half of the stems were broken so the flowers died immediately. The card was filled out in such a rush that the ink was smudged and it was illegible. My mother paid $50 for this bouquet, and it was nowhere near the quality you should expect for that price. She phoned to complain and the only response she got was "I'm sorry you feel that way." Terrible product. Terrible service. I understand that at this time of year, mid December, it can be difficult to source fresh, local flowers. This company had the opportunity to address the issue when my mother called and instead chose to dismiss her, rather rudely. We will not be buying from Daisy Chain again.

BEST FLOWER SHOP IN TOWN!!! I have had the pleasure of working with Miria at the Daisy Chain shop on Fort st. many times. Miria is a lovely lady and a master florist! Every time I go into her flower shop it's like a breathe of fresh air. She is incredible in helping me arrange the perfect set of flowers for my needs. She takes the time to pick the right colours and types and ALWAYS starts from scratch with my feelings and suggestions included in the process. Such a great feeling when you leave there with a beautiful arrangement that you get to play a part in selecting! If I could give a negative feedback I would... I gave specific instructions on when to deliver and to call before hand.... I took an afternoon off of work to accomodate the delivery, as it had to be delivered after hours otherwise. They never showed nor called to tell me until the next day. The flowers arrangement looked like they've been sitting in wal-marts buckets for days, as peddles have started fallen off after the first day. I won't go back to this company, and strongly discourage anybody as well. I strongly recommended getting better customer service.

I have dealt with Miria for years. I've lived in Florida for decades, and finding an imaginative, reliable florist to get arrangements to my aging Mother in Victoria was a godsend. Her work is impeccable, reasonably priced, and deliveries have always been timely. I heartily recommend her.
