Laurel provided the flowers for my wedding in August 2020. From the first time I talked to her I knew I had found the right fit - her prices were extremely reasonable right off the bat, she had a welcoming and positive demeanour and made me feel sure that she would not miss a beat in making sure things were absolutely perfect. For my bridal bouquet, she special ordered a variety of roses and had me come in to choose which shade of pink I would prefer to make sure she got it just right. The attention to detail and attention to me as a bride was above and beyond what I would have expected. On the day of the wedding she was on time, highly professional and all of the arrangements and bouquets were stunning. In total I ordered 7 centrepieces, 2 alter arrangements, rose petals, men’s flowers, bridesmaid bouquets, toss bouquets and the most important - the bridal bouquet. Everything was stunning and I received so many compliments on the flower arrangements. As a Sunshine Coast local, I’m proud to have businesses like this showcasing the wonderful people and talent in our community. Thank you Laurel and the team for the wonderful work and experience overall! The day wouldn’t have been the same without you!

She was very lovely to work with and gave me the most beautiful flowers on my wedding day. She hand delivered them to my room and set up everything about an hour before-everything was so fresh! We chose to work with Gibsons Florist for our wedding at the West Coast Wilderness Lodge and we are SO happy we did! We got married during the heat dome with temperatures around 37 degrees the day of the wedding. Due to a 50 person limit, we did not have Laurel come to the lodge to assemble the flowers onto the arch, but Laurel was kind enough to supply zap straps for my friends to put the flowers on the arch and was very clear about caring for the flowers in the crazy heat (especially the 1.5 hour drive from her store to the lodge). I had planned my wedding before the pandemic and although I never had to postpone or reschedule, the number of people (and therefore the number of center pieces and bouquets) was always changing. Laurel was so easy and flexible to work with. I'm sure it was due to the pandemic, but she never required a deposit and assured me she would provide a full refund if I did wish to pay a deposit. I don't actually know much about flowers myself, but I gave Laurel a couple of photos of flowers/bouquets I liked as well as the colour scheme and I absolutely LOVED my bouquet, the bridesmaids' bouquets, the center pieces and the flowers for our arch. I would highly recommend choosing Gibsons Florist for your wedding - I can tell Laurel is passionate about flowers and she went above and beyond for my wedding! I can't recommend this place enough! When an order of mine was accidentally delivered without the vase, I expected a half-hearted apology and perhaps a partial refund if I was lucky (I live in Toronto). Instead, the shop apologized profusely and offered to delivery another bouquet of flowers (free of charge) the very next day, with the vase. Since my mom was leaving town the next day for a few weeks, they offered to delay the delivery until her return. She received the second (GORGEOUS) bouquet today and all I can say is WOW! Amazing customer service.

The first time I went into Gibsons florist to look into wedding flowers, I met Laurel. I had no idea what I wanted and was all over the map with my ideas. We chatted for a long time while looking through my pinterest boards. On my way out, she insisted I take a bouquet home to see if I loved the colors as much in the natural light. A few months later, it was time to make a decision on flowers. I went back into the shop with all new ideas and new inspo photos. Again, she welcomed my scattered ideas and began piecing together a clear picture of what they should look like. Laurel asked that I come in with my bridal party the day prior to the wedding to put a final stamp of approval on the bouquets and boutonnieres before she finished pinning them up. When we arrived, she had champagne ready to be popped and the most wonderful energy pulsing through her shop. The finished pieces were absolutely perfect.. and my bridal bouquet was even fuller and more beautiful then we had discussed. She went overboard in the best way possible, in every aspect. I would recommend Gibsons Florist to anyone looking for floral arrangements for any occasion. Her shop is gorgeous and always packed with beauty!

There are no words to adequately express our love for this amazing team! Our daughter’s wedding was a very last minute affair and Laurel and her staff put together the most spectacular floral arrangements, wedding bouquets, flower crowns for the flower girls. She arrived at out home ostensibly to “oversee” the installation of the flowers for the driftwood wedding arch. She spent hours doing it herself, just to make sure it was perfect! And it was!

Gibsons Florist is amazing! I contacted Laurel for 2 bouquets and some stems to put in my wife’s hair for our elopement, and she went above and beyond! Laurel was responsive, friendly, and worked with our budget. I’m so glad we weren’t picky and let her design the bouquets, I just said I don’t like really rounded bouquets and sent pictures of our dresses, and then she worked her magic! She also provided so many flowers for my wife’s hair that we weren’t actually able to use them all, and our hair and makeup artist really appreciated that they were individually wire wrapped. We loved our flowers so much that while we were traveling throughout the Sunshine Coast for a week after our elopement I had them hanging in our car (side note the flowers smelled amazing for our elopement and while we were traveling), and they are now drying at home so we can have them for as long as we can!
