Website is easy to navigate and delivery was on-time, but the flower bouquet was underwhelming. I paid for a larger bouquet and what arrived was a reasonably small set of flowers set against a bunch of leaves. I have ordered this size before from other florists, so I'm confident saying this bouquet had fewer flowers.

We were so happy with the bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres for our wedding from Hillcrest Florist! The entire process was easy and Shay did such a great job. She gave us suggestions for flowers that were in season and worked within our tight budget. She replicated a bouquet I found online and it was perfect. The bouquets were gorgeous and stayed fresh all day. Shay even prepared an orchid for my hair, and opened the shop early for us to come pick everything up. I received great customer service, and would highly recommend choosing Hillcrest Florist for your wedding flowers.

This is hands down, the best floral shop in Ontario.!! The staff is amazing and so helpful, I went in with 0 knowledge and left with a handful of things I didn't know. They make beautiful arrangements for any occasion and made my significant other very happy on Valentine's day with the beautiful arrangement they made for me. Owned by two brothers who are the best in the business and will go above and beyond to make sure everyone involved is happy and has a smile on their faces. I would HIGHLY recommend this floral shop for any occasion from weddings to a simple thank you for a job well done.

I chose this particular florist because of the positive google reviews and the close proximity to the funeral services at Holy Cross in Richmond Hill. Went into the store, and with the help of Shae, decided on the Exquisite Tribute Spray which I was told was one their most popular arrangements. For an additional $50, we chose the deluxe ($230), over the standard ($180), as it would have a fuller appearance with the added flowers. Took some extra time and care in choosing the wording for the sash/banner as well as the card/note saying who the flowers are from. The following afternoon, when we arrived at the funeral home, we felt a huge let down when we saw the finished product. The arrangement had many White Carnations and Chrysanthemums (Filler Flowers) and very few White Roses (Premium Flowers)....As for the White Lilies, of the several that were present, only 2 were actually open, the rest were not even close to blooming which left the entire appearance very underwhelming. It was vastly different than what was pictured on their website and what I saw in the store just the previous day. What added to the overall dissatisfaction was that there was no sign of any card/note saying who the flowers were from. These were purchased on behalf of my aunts, from the old country, who find these details very important especially on sad occasions like this. If the service was longer than 2 days, we may have brought up our issues to them in hopes that they may be willing to improve and correct matters but there was no time. Although others have had positive experience(s) with this florist, we unfortunately can not say the same. The expectations set by the positive reviews along with the added expense were definitely not lived up to. Missing the mark on execution and attention to detail is why we will not use or recommend this place in the future.

Shay and her staff at HillCrest Florist created a stunning arrangement of white, pink and red roses to honour my father’s Canadian, Swiss and Hungarian families for his funeral. The flowers were awaiting us at the front of the room alongside the other arrangements. It created a beautiful welcoming feeling for us coming from out of province during a difficult time, including having to travel during the pandemic.. Shay’s team also created a lovely basket of peace roses with an eco look for my daughter to carry in with her. It was waiting for us at our hotel when we arrived the day before. I can not recommend HillCrest Florist highly enough. The flowers were absolutely beautiful. However, they tell you to leave instructions for the driver that "will be followed". Driver was supposed to call me as I was planning to give it to my partner tomorrow on valentines day as a surprise. Instead of calling, he knocked on the door in the morning, waking up the whole house. And then handed the flowers to my partners roommate and made rude comments as though it was our fault. I called the florist, I was told that they use third-party drivers, that "usually" follow instructions, but its a high volume weekend, so it just happens. Super unsatisfying answer. And instead of apologizing upfront, I got an apology at the very end of the call, as an afterthought. Ive never had this experience with a florist. They usually know that they are part of building special moments for people. Disappointing.

Super disappointed. My friend and I ordered and paid for an azalea shrub for $60 as a housewarming gift. They called and said they had none even though it was available to purchase online. They ended up substituting with a dish garden and we agreed there would be orchids. When it was delivered there was no orchid at all. We got a red peace lily. Definitely not worth the price especially with this, sadly.

I absolutely love this place and the service they provide. Every arrangement (4 and counting) has been perfect. I once made a mistake placing an order and had flowers delivered a couple days early. They were kind enough to go back and retrieve the flowers and hold on to them until the correct date and not ask for anything extra, though I would have gladly paid.

I really dislike writing negative reviews but I must live up to my own rules that bad service must be punished and good service rewarded. I ordered the The FTD Beautiful Expressions Bouquet as shown in the picture below. I paid $149.99 + tax for the deluxe bouquet. What I received is attached in the picture below. Decide for yourself: 1) How similar is it to the first picture attached (picture shown on their website for the deluxe bouquet) 2) Is the second picture worth $149.99 + tax In any case, I was disappointed with what I received and will not be getting flowers from Hillcrest florists again. Not sure if this was a one time thing because when I bought from them previously it was perfectly fine, but this was for my engagement so was definitely not happy. Hope they will keep this in mind when creating bouquets for future customers.

Hillcrest florist was amazing to deal with. My wife and I were looking for a florist for our wedding day and were just over whelmed at the number of options not only with flowers but also vendors. While walking through the mall, we noticed Hillcrest Florist and were curious did they also do weddings. We walked in and started chatting with them, and they were super nice and accommodating. We set up a more "formal" meeting to go into more detail but every time we talked to them we felt like we were having a real conversation. Some other vendors that we met, we felt like they were TELLING us this is what you should be doing for your wedding. Some other vendors just asked us what did we want, but we didn’t even know what we want! Hillcrest florist was the perfect balance. We gave them what our ideas were, and they were willing to show us lots of samples both with photos and they also had some samples on hand fresh there! From there the conversation grew, we had some more ideas and they were super nice to help us along. They were very reasonably priced compared to some other vendors as well and very accommodating. I felt confident that they could deliver on what they were promising and they sure did. They showed up right on time, all our flowers ready in hand. They gave us pedestals to use during our ceremony along with the large bouquets that we wanted on either side. They showed up after our ceremony and were able to transport this set up to re-use later on at night at our head table. The boutonnieres were perfect, the bouquets were perfect, and the ceremony flowers were perfect, the head table flowers were perfect. Over all it was just a really on point experience. Called 4 days before ordering to confirm that the order can be delivered before noon. Also left this specific instruction as part of the order. The order was not delivered before noon. Had to call at 12:40 for it to be delivered at 1pm. Not sure what time it would have been delivered if I did not call. When it finally came, the order was only partially delivered (bouquet without a box of chocolate). I had to call back again to get the box of chocolate delivered the next day.

Wanted to get something special for my partners birthday. I searched online and came upon hillcrest florist. The reviews from customers were amazing, and the selection had lots of variety. The location of the shop was actually a few streets over from where we lived, but since everyone is working from home, I didn’t have the time to run out and grab it. Placed an order for a valentine hand tie bouquet for valentines/birthday gift for my mom for delivery in downtown Toronto. I used to go to some online delivery service for flowers that were cheaper, but you definitely "get what you pay for", and the roses I got here are IMMEASURABLY more beautiful and fresh than the online delivery place. I placed an online order on Friday for delivery on Monday after 6pm. Unfortunately my friend was not going to be home so I called Sunday morning and asked them if they could deliver Sunday evening. While on the phone, I asked the girl to make sure they contact my friend first to ensure she is home before dropping the flowers off. Long story short, they left the flowers outside her house. They stayed there overnight and you can imagine what shape they might be in next day. There was no phone call to me saying this is what they had to do. If I had known then would have made arrangements to have them picked up. $95 is what I paid and more importantly, they just ruined the whole surprise for my friend's birthday. I left a message for the manager Shay. Hoping she calls back. I would expect them to resend a new arrangement of flowers or give me my money back.

I ordered flowers from Montreal for my mother in law who is in Richmond Hill. I was pleased that the flowers delivered looked very similar to what I had ordered. However, I wish they had followed my request for the delivery time which was requested to be from 1 pm. The flowered were delivered at 11 and the person didn't even ring the apartment from the lobby, he just showed up at the door. The family get up at bit late on weekends.... I'll try another florist next time.

My friend's apartment wouldn't allow Hillcrest to leave the flowers with the concierge but Hillcrest returned TWICE to his apartment to make sure he got them. I'm so glad he didn't have to bus to their shop because it wouldn't have taken him and hour there and back. All in all - the flowers looked great and the service is amazing. Highly recommended.

Very disappointed with Hillcrest Florist, I was so embarrassed and mortified when I saw my plant order displayed at the wake I attended. I ordered the French Garden "Deluxe" for an extended family funeral. The total cost was $97.16 I ordered online and chose this based upon the picture and description. In which it indicates that it employs lush green plants and 6 green plants. The picture on line looks full, exotic, and lush. Instead, what was received was only 4 plants that were not even close to looking like the picture online, and this made the arrangement very small and skimpy looking. When I saw my arrangement at the wake. I was very ashamed, it was nothing like the picture shown. I understand that maybe they didn't have the exact plants in stock, however, if they could have put at least the 6 plants indicated in the description instead of 4 plants maybe then it would have been acceptable.

He was accommodating in changing details last minute and he delivered far beyond my expectations. I used Joe for my bridal shower and wedding, I can certainly say I will use his services for any future events. He was always available to communicate quickly. I was told by my guests that the flower arrangements for the centerpieces lasted much longer than any other flowers they've had.
