Ordered a standard plant basket on line for same day delivery (as a surprise for an accomplishment). The item was not received by the recipient until 10 days later (surprise on my end!). The excuse was that the order was downloaded, but never printed. It took three days and multiple attempts to get someone who could take care of this. The only indication I had that the item was not delivered came from directly asking the recipient if they had received it since I hadn't received a 'thank you' from them. Very unhappy with the service, will not recommend. If you are going to offer online ordering, put checks and balances in place to assure that they orders are properly processed.

This is the greatest place... they really are a one-stop shop. They make gifting simple with a large selection of all types of housewares, and their signature wrapping is an added bonus. I also love giving and receiving their floral arrangements... always impressed by their customer service and attention to detail.

This place has really cool things inside! BUT I was asked about 5 times in the space of 15mins if "they could help me with anything". There's a fine line between being helpful to a customer and making the customer feel pressured or like an intruder. Say hi and smile so we know where you are. BUT you don't need to keep asking if you can help! Most people are very capable of asking for help if they need it, as long as they know where to find you and they would when you said Hi and smiled.

I paid for a $70 bouquet to be delivered on August 30th. Although they emailed me that the delivery happened, it never arrived. Then, the next day I called to clear the issue. The saleswoman stated she didn't know why the delivery never happened although my credit card was charged. She claimed the flowers would be delivered that day (August 31). Still no flowers or refund.

The florist and staff are absolutely awesome. He arranged a funeral spray with a fishing theme that was beautiful. I have also used them for numerous birthday arrangements. Their finished product has always been of the best quality. I highly recommend them.

Ordered a $80.00 bouquet for a birthday. Wasn’t delivered until the day after. I had to call to find out were it was. They blamed a computer issue. They never called to say they were having technical difficulties. Never offered at refund or discount. Horrible customer service.

My experience was less than stellar. I ordered a flower arrangement two days ahead of delivery date and they were delivered on the day I ordered them. What would happen if they were two days late because nobody checked the delivery date? I called the florist shop and they offered to deliver a bud vase on the correct day with an apology and an explanation. The bud vase was delivered but the delivery person slid into the office, set it on the desk and was gone before anyone could even catch him/her. No explanation. On top of this, the arrangement was not done well and I was charged a $5.00 delivery fee for them to walk out their back door and across the alley. I called there and spoke with Uncle Matt. Everyone from Pierre knows Uncle Matt. He was courteous and apologetic for the circumstance. Not sure if I will put my trust in this business again but if I do, it's because of Uncle Matt

Great customer service. I ordered flowers from out of town, for a funeral in Pierre. Due to a snow storm, the funeral was changed from Monday to Wednesday. I called on Sunday, and they were good about making the change in date. When the flowers were delivered, they sent me an email - which was reassuring, because I wasn't able to attend the funeral. I recommend this local florist for events in Pierre.

I had done business with another flower shop in Pierre for years and really wasn't that familiar with other shops in the area. When the flower shop that I had always done business with was sold to someone else, I tried to continue to do business with them but just wasn't getting the service that I had always received from the previous owner. So the last time I attempted to order an arrangement from them I was told it could not be done that day, so I googled other flower shops in Pierre. Capital City Florist came up in my search, so I gave them a call. They were very accommodating and more than happy to do an arrangement for me and deliver it that day! Their customer service was amazing! I believe the gentleman that helped me on the phone, said his name was uncle Matt, he was very pleasant and said they would get an arrangement together and delivered immediately. I was able to have flowers, balloons, and truffles all delivered. Thank you for the excellent service uncle Matt! I'll definitely be returning to Capital City Florist for my floral arrangements in the future! ????

We needed a florist for an out-of-town funeral. I picked a florist at random from the Better Business website for the town where the funeral would be held. At the funeral we looked at the arrangement and were very pleased. Capital City did an excellent job, and the website was very easy to navigate.

Flowers fresh, arrangement beautiful and exactly what I ordered online. Ordered during the night the night before a funeral to happen the following morning. Delivery was on schedule exactly as I requested. We were very pleased with the outcome!

Replaced the type of flower I ordered without notifying me. I ordered daisies because they are my mom's favorite, but they replaced them because they were out, I guess, but didn't notify me beforehand. Bad customer service.

My husband ordered me flowers from this shop for our anniversary. The flowers were not delivered the time requested (delivered a day early) and the flowers were not as described as online. When I called the shop to express my concerns regarding not only the delivery time requested, but also the fact that my husband spent quite a bit of money on these flowers for me to receive carnations and roses. The response I received was that the shop didn't carry specific flowers offered in some of the online choices. So, what they do is use other flowers to fulfill the total cost of the flowers, in my case, carnations and roses. I would suggest not ordering flowers from this shop or expect to spend more money on cheaper flowers.

I placed my order at 10:45am, and called Capital City Florists at 11:15am with a change of time for my order (unexpected events - oops!), but they adjusted my order accordingly and delivered the flowers quickly! This place was so amazing. I had a female friend who was going through a hard time and I ordered an arrangement at the last minute. They didn't only make sure I got them that evening. They took all of my flower ideas and made it beautiful. My friend was so happy seeing and smelling Tiger lillies and star grazers with a few pink roses , they even put it in a travel safe box. I will definitely be buying from them again. Thank you guys for your understanding and wonderful hospitality!
