Blooms on 9th has consistently exceeded my expectations. I don't live in Calgary, but most of my family does. Whenever there's a special occasion I can count on them to deliver a modern and beautifully designed arrangement. Also, the owner is passionate about his work and it definitely shows in the final product. UPDATE (May 2020) - I was blown away by the arrangement that I ordered for Mother's Day. 10/10 Quality fresh blooms as always.

My friends and family members always send photos of their beautiful deliveries and they are consistently special, unique, charming and lovely - well worth the very reasonable costs. We live in another province and especially during these times, it's extra important to be able to send our caring thoughts and best wishes with such reliably wonderful flowers. I did not have a good experience with Blooms. I ordered the "ultimate" bunch of flowers for my mum the Thursday before Mother's Day. First off, this was a VERY small bunch of flowers and did not compare to the "standard" version on the website. The flowers arrived with a lot of them browning and missing petals. I believe in supporting local businesses, since I am an artist myself and I understand the importance. The lack of customer service made me regret not ordering from Kensington Florist. The gentlemen who answered the phone (who i believe is the owner) offered to replace the flowers with a lesser value bunch (since they were very busy and didn't have many flowers in stock). I called back asking for a refund since I do not believe what my mother received was worth the $94.00 (including delivery). I unfortunately never heard back. Just a warning if you order from here, if it does not go as planned, they don't seem to want to make it right.

The best florist in Calgary hands down, it is not even close; and trust me, I've tried a bunch. He takes such great pride in his work and is passionate about what he does. The best arrangements and bouquets you have ever seen. Some crazy unique and artistic stuff! If you go here for your wife I guarantee you she will love you forever. For the quality the price is beyond reasonable.

What a great little store. The owner is so welcoming and has a wonderful sense of humour such good fun to chat with. This guy knows his floristry and offers great advise if you want to know what works best. I love his contemporary arrangements. I would highly recommend him and his flowers.

Friendly and helpful over phone when making order for delivery. But bouqet was not as good as I thought it would be...flowers died the next day and the bowl that they were I found at the dollar store exact same bowl so why did they charge me $90.00? Would not recommend and will not purchase from them again. I understand that during Covid things are different...but for $90.00 you think your flowers would last longer than a day.

Ordered a bouquet for my wife on Mother's day and was disappointed for several reasons. 1. When I unwrapped the bag that the arrangement came in - the flowers smelt like a dirty fish tank. 2. The flowers withered away the next day. 3. The flower arrangement was not as "full" as the pictured that I ordered. I did call the shop to inquire about the foul odor and the individual who answered was polite and suggested how to reduce the odor.

I ordered flowers late afternoon on the Saturday before Mother's Day knowing delivery would be Monday since I had left this important task to the last minute. While other places offered only a possibility of being able to deliver Sunday, the product quality appeared it was going to be much better so I decided they'd be worth the wait. I ordered a gorgeous teapot filled with pastel flowers and a hand cut bouquet of Spring flowers to be delivered to some of the important Mom's in my life. To my surprise and the delight of the recipients, the flowers were delivered today, Mother's Day. Not only had they been delivered on the actual Mothers Day (making it look like I had it together) both arrangements were absolutely gorgeous and fresh. For only $10 more over what the other guys were offering, I got something unique for them that wasn't found on every other florists page. Will definitely be using Blooms on 9th again!

I ordered a sympathy floral arrangement with a Birds of Paradise theme is January. It was, in my son’s words, spectacular. Everyone that saw it wanted to know where it came from. I had wanted something out of the ordinary and I was truly pleased and surprised. It was stunning. And unique. Thank you Stephen for your personal attention. Edit after a year(2020): I ordered a flower arrangement for my sister's birthday yesterday and she sent me a pic as soon as she got it. Some of the roses were at the tail end of their shelf life (as in fully bloomed, the stage where a rose would usually just start withering after that. Most everyone who has observed where flowers are at after they have bloomed know when flowers get to this point). This was highly disappointing because the hope is for these arrangements to last after their receipt. I don't think that flowers should be used for arrangements when they get to that point. If I was at a store, I certainly won't purchase such. I don't feel like it was worth the money to get it in such a state. I sent an email as soon as I found out and I haven't received a response. I just know that I will be looking for a different florist from here on. _______________________________________________________________________ I'm from the US with family in Calgary that I often send flowers to. I found Blooms on 9th through a Google search and have ordered two arrangements so far this year. Both of them have simply been quite fantastic and are probably some of the most creative in floral design that I have ever seen with any online florists. Thanks so much for a job well done! I'm quite glad I found you.

I was a paying customer of one of the businesses in the plaza where this flower shop resides. The owner of the flower shop actively monitors the cars parked in the parking lot and calls to get them ticketed if they are there for more than a couple of hours. Even on days where there is plenty of parking available at all times and it is clear the parked car is not impacting his business, which was the case with me when I got ticketed. This is a very vindictive and selfish act and I think this speaks to the character and the kind of person the owner is. I actually stopped in for some flowers on a previous visit to this plaza and will never again do that! Congratulations - You have lost my future business! Instead of considering the fact that patrons of other businesses in the plaza might help your business, you have chosen to persecute them and ultimately drive away customers. In response to the owner: This is not the management company as you have been seen putting personal warning notes on vehicles prior to calling the city to get cars ticketed. I was a recipient of such note on a visit prior to being ticketed.

WOW! I just want to thank Steve for the most glamorous arrangement that he designed for my mom’s birthday. I had a vision for something grand and tropical and he over-delivered! Steve is incredibly friendly and generous. He took the time to detail how he could customize the arrangement for us. He knows his stuff! The arrangement turned out to be the finest I’ve ever seen! It came in an immense, rich, golden vase. The flowers were so lush and exotic that we have never even seen some of them before. Just got lucky and found this florist as I had some friends visiting Calgary for Stampede. My friends were just WOWED and said that they were the most amazing flowers they had ever seen. Stephen, who is both the owner and designer of the store couldn't have been more helpful with my order. He took the time to ask what "look" I wanted to go for, if it was a special occasion and so forth. He then made several recommendations to me both in style, color and price range and never tried to "sell" me on anything. Because of his attention to detail I decided to let him choose what to send - he is funny and charming on the phone and I would highly recommend anyone seeking guidance to give him a call. He also offered to text me a picture of the finished product prior to it being sent out which was awesome, never had a florist offer to do that before so you get to see your gift before it reaches the recipient! LOVE that!! The arrangement was then wrapped and placed in a very cool delivery box and Stephen writes your message on a card personally, nothing typed - again great service! Will definitely be using him again when I need to send flowers in Calgary.

They were able to recreate the pictures we showed them and the staff were realistic on what they could achieve and made arrangements worth every dollar we spent! Wow! Called Stephen this morning from out of province to have a delivery for the same day for my Daughter's Birthday; requesting a change in the flowers on an online bouquet, of which I loved the vase...not only did he so very kindly accommodate my request - but he made some suggestions based on the very little info I gave him about my Daughter's taste...I trusted him to go ahead with what he thought would be appropriate - HE KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK! he sent a sunny, beautiful, tastefully done bouquet - and she loved it! I ordered flowers for my best friend's birthday. It was super pretty, and was delivered early in the morning in perfect conditions. Blooms on 9th really helped us to celebrate the special day, especially when we live very far apart during this difficult time. My friend and I are super happy, and really appreciate the service. If I may make one small suggestion, the card attached was pretty, but the message was printed out on a slightly oddly shaped paper and tapped onto the back of the card. I think it may be worth printing messages directly onto the card, have them hand written or printed on a label instead of tapped. But I am really happy with my experience. Thank you!

My Mom orders arrangements from here frequently and she raves about how amazing they are and how nice Steven is. I phoned to inquire about getting a quote for a wedding bouquet and I was told that it could not be done because it is custom pricing and “it’s like calling a restaurant and asking how much their food is.” I was then told with a rude tone that it’s the worst time to call since it’s before Christmas and I was not given any solution to my inquiry.

This shops makes the most exquisite arrangements, bouquets and planters of succulents. They use the most beautiful vases and containers and fill them with the most exotic flowers at a reasonable price. 10/10 for this shop, you will not be disappointed.

This is the best flower shop in Calgary hands down! We have been ordering flowers from Stephen for years and he never disappoints. His arrangements are gorgeous every time, you can tell he really loves what he does. This past week I had ordered an arrangement on behalf of my Grandma who lives in Edmonton for my mom on her birthday and sadly it did not arrive on time due to there being a mix up with the delivery. Stephen sent my mom an arrangement in place of the original that was double the price of what my Grandma paid and it was just breathtaking! My mom just loves it! This was super not necessary, he could have just sent her another similar arrangement but this just goes to show that he provides the best customer service out there which is hard to find sometimes! I enjoyed chatting with him on the phone he's very friendly and very talented! Thank you Stephen!!! Myself, my mom and my Grandma are so pleased with how you went above and beyond! If I could give you more than 5 stars, I would!!!
