When my Aunt was admitted into Vancouver General last month for emergency gall bladder surgery I was extremely worried. Being over 2000 miles away, I wanted to let her know I care, plus it was going to take 2 days to line up a flight to visit and help her. Flowers On 1st was extremely helpful when I contacted them. They were very empathetic and helped me find the right gift for my Aunt. I selected the Designer's Choice Flower bouquet because of the beautiful, bright, and cheery flowers. They promised the flowers would be exotic and fresh. They had it delivered exactly when it was supposed to be there, and my uncle sent me a picture of my Aunt smiling with them by her bed. They were beautiful! Flowers On 1st even sent chocolates with the order :) I want them to know I really appreciate their kindness while I was in such a panic, and their great customer service even though I live so far away. I have used Flowers on 1st a couple of times and had a great experience both times. I live in Georgia but have a good friend in Vancouver. On two occasions I needed floral arrangements and used this florist. I sent one of those baskets of baby roses to my friend after the birth of her daughter. She LOVED the roses and later transplanted them into a flower box. They do not sell ONLY flowers! For my friend’s birthday a couple of months ago, the dreaded 4-0, I sent her some really “naughty” chocolate covered strawberries from this florist. She said they were absolutely decadent and made turning 40 a much nicer experience. I also sent a birthday bouquet. She said it was very fresh and lasted a long time. Ordering was easy and delivery was quick. I recommend.

I love this place! They helped me become a real life Romeo! My wife works for an airline here in Arizona and she was suddenly called up for a trip to YVR. As the principle of Murphy's law would explain, she was called up on the day before her birthday. I was devastated and although she was good with it, I know she was upset. Time to take action! I wound up taking a later flight to YVR following hers and I thought I would surprise her. I did some intel and figured out where the crew was staying and I thought I would show up, flowers in hand, ready to make her day.But where do I get flowers? I am somewhat of a geek and rely on the internet probably too much for my own good but it was the internet that led me to Flowers on 1st. Not only do I appreciate being able to find the what I am looking for online, I absolutely love the fact that they post their prices online. I cannot tell you how many places show what they have to offer but then completely rip you off when you get there. In my situation, I was not only happy to see the prices, I was happy to see what I was looking for, Stargazers. My wife is not a Rose woman, she loves her stargazers and I have found that even here in AZ, they can be tricky to get sometimes. At any rate, I saw the Pink Stargazer Celebration arrangement and I was sold. The price was pretty good but my real hope was that they actually had them. I made the trek North from the airport area and it was just a few blocks down 1st Ave when I ran into the place. I was happy to see that they could take care of me without calling ahead but they also had the flowers I was looking for. This is the part of my feedback that I have to warn anyone planning to visit this place. Do not go in there with an empty stomach! The sweets and treats are something that will make even the most hardened dieter fold at their knees. I got in, got my flowers, and I wish I could tell you I paid and went right out the door but... Let's just say that the only thing that walked out the door a little lighter was my wallet. :) Having been a sporadic visitor from Canada's neighbor, I was a very happy customer and so happy that I could completely make my wife's birthday perfect. If I had a place like Flowers in 1st in my neighborhood, not only would I be visiting them for all my floral needs, I think I might just stop by from time to time for a treat. Flowers on 1st was the best. I needed something on short notice for a family member recovering from surgery at Vancouver General and I had no idea what to get. And I was under the gun for time. So I called, explained the situation. I was shown a few options on the website and ordered. Frankly, I didn’t want to spend a lot of time on it, but wanted an arrangement that would look good and would be fresh when they delivered. For years I ordered flowers online through the big companie but my preference is always to buy local if I can. The personal service was great and I was still done in 5 minutes. The flowers were delivered the same day and still look fresh and vibrant. The price was very fair, but the real sell for me is that I can deal with someone local and get a better, fresher flower.

I then got full strength from the flower bouquet made of different orchids and other extremely rare sets of blooming flowers. I ran through the concept of the product made, delivering some “blooming buds in the center protected by some full-grown different colored orchids” to my beloved parents. Resembling the creative idea to essence as if our parents are covering us, me and my sister - who are still opening gradually to the outer world. And I bargained for the price with the very well behaved storekeeper and tried to come to a negotiation. While negotiating, I also tried to check online for a better value with the same type of flower bouquets. I had chosen a Premium Cut Flowers Bouquet from your store, which was listed with $125 on your own website. And I was very satisfied to see your online presence as well, with fantastic reviews and comments. Just like your store was filled with so much positivity and creative ideas, your web presence was fantastic, I could easily mark it, as I am pursuing my occupational career in Digital Marketing field. And I made up my mind, that it would be a waste of time and effort to look into any other store, in Vancouver. As you were the only top-rated suggestion in the online search too. I quickly closed the purchase with the chosen product from Flowers on 1st, at a suitable price and moved on to present it to my parents. Would give a lower rating if I can. Service is good, the lady is very friendly. But the flowers are expensive and not fresh. Extremely hard to find the location. The style of the bouquet is ugly and I asked for a bouquet and got a vase which is unwrapped. It was too ugly to even give away so I had to go to another florist to fix it. Not worth.

One of the best flowershop I ever visited! I ordered a flower here for my friend who got sick. She was so happy and amazed by the flowers. She said, it was like her birthday because the flowers has balloon in it. I just love their quick service and accommodation. I can order any kinds of flowers here in any occasions. Now, I decided to order a bouquet here for the coming birthday of my younger sister. I would definitely recommend Flowers on 1st! You will really love their flowers.

I ordered flowers for a friend of mine living in Vancouver BC on her birthday from Flowers on 1st. The feedback I got from my friend was very positive saying that the floral arrangement was super nice and lasted about ten days, the free complimentary chocolate that was added to my floral order was really a nice touch, amazing service for a last minute order, I will be using them next time for sure, this place deserves 5 stars. I just want to say how pleased I am with Flowers on 1st in Vancouver. I ordered the "Big Happy Mug Bouquet" for my friend's 50th birthday. (She was not thrilled about this milestone...to say the least!) She told me that the flowers were just as bright and cheery as the website showed. It was the perfect gift. Maybe next year, I'll get her the Raspberry Mousse Cake. That looks pretty darn cheery, too!

I was very excited for Mother’s Day 2021, so based on online reviews I decided to give them a call. Immediately I was greeted by a rude guy that didn’t seem like he cared/ nor did he want to help, but I continued to ask if I could order delivery for a bouquet for $40. He laughed at me and said “nowhere will I find flowers for that price in town for Mother’s Day, minimum is $80, so that’s how much we will charge” so basically take it or leave it.. I was shocked at his response, and even more so to make such an absurd statement that flowers for Mother’s Day starts at $80 only.. I said no thank you and we ended the call. Needless to say, I will never call this place again- even if their flowers become affordable. I feel their bouquets would be a reflection of their customer service: unfriendly and negative.

Beautiful flowers and fantastic customer service! Flowers on 1st called when they weren't able to deliver to the first location in Burnaby at around 7:30 at night on Valentines Day. They were patient while I called the recipient and got new delivery information, and they then re-delivered to her work downtown despite being well into the evening. I placed an order from Flowers on 1st earlier this year based purely on the great google reviews, but the experience I had was far from what I read about. Poor communication through email. I decided to stop by in person but the shop was closed during posted business hours. Still, I placed an order based on a bouquet I saw on their website but asked them to charge me $50 more to beef it up. What was delivered was embarrassing. I've since spent much less than what I did at other florists and they all came through, not to mention I didn't feel ripped off.
