Check your credit card if you buy from Brown's! They failed to deliver flowers I sent to someone and then charged me a second $30 delivery charge, WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION, even though it was their fault that the flowers were not delivered the first time. I was able to have the money refunded by my credit card company, but Brown's walked away with the second delivery charge anyway. Very questionable business practices.

My husband's family ordered flowers for our son's funeral. The flowers were never delivered for the funeral like they should have been so they contacted the florist to find out what happened. The florist said there was some sort of problem (we have no idea what the problem was) and that the flowers would be delivered to us early the following week (why it would take so long baffled us). We're well past "early in the week" and 8 days past the funeral and the flowers still haven't been delivered. This morning they called saying they'd be delivered this afternoon. This afternoon they called and said they didn't know our unit number (despite having been given our full address originally), so I gave it to them along with our callbox number (since some people get us mixed up with another unit with a similar last name), and they said the flowers would be delivered later this afternoon. The afternoon has come and gone and the flowers have still not been delivered. I don't think I've ever encountered such incompetency.

First of all, I’ll say the people who work there are lovely and very helpful. However the plant I brought home was infested with gnats and spider mites, which promptly spread to all my other plants, some of which I’ve had for many years. I haven’t had any luck trying to get rid of them. The store should do more to keep their plants pest-free.

My friend and I spent around 30 minutes picking and choosing plants even tho we knew we would get nagged by our husband's and that we would have to have it car as we head back to Vancouver by ferry for the next 10 hours. I called Brown's from out of town, because they had dog plushies, which was perfect for a friend who lost their dog earlier that day. The woman on the other end of the phone was amazing, and helped me write my sympathy card, which I didn't even think about while I was calling. I was unsure if my friend was going to be at work for the day or not, but they were swift with their delivery, and the gift was able to reach my friend before they left work early that day. Highly recommended! I had a great experience, and it helped me feel closed to my friend in Victoria while I am away in another province. Thank you!

When you really care about people you are sending flowers to this is the only place to go. The people are so knowledgeable, they listen to what I want and don't try and sell me what they want. The flowers last 10x longer than the grocery store and 20 times longer that Costco ones. You will always find "Browns fresh Flowers" in my place of business and in my loved ones homes. :)

Apparently this is what $300 buys you at Browns. Please note, that price does not include delivery, a vase, or anything else... just a very lacking boquete of flowers. Only a half dozen roses and very few other mentionable pieces (Kleenex box beside for context). Bought these for my wife for our anniversary and am extremely disappointed. Next year will surely be buying from another flower store or a jewellery store where there is some value for my purchase. A lack of competition in the area is the only reason this place survives. I will never purchase from this store again

This review came a little late. But before our anniversary, which was Dec 19, my boyfriend ordered a bouquet with 12 roses. The time he went to picked up, we got only 3 roses and 5 or 6 red and white carnations, with some greens. It didn’t look at a preordered bouquet for anniversary at all, looked like a pre-made Christmas flowers, I could picked up one of these things from Costco and they would look quite the same, but they charged him almost $80. I used to wok in a flower shop, I’ve never changed this much for a bouquet that has only 3 roses. Besides all that, I could even wrap it better than I got, weren’t even any flowerfood inside. We brought flowers here before but this we were pretty upset, I guess we won’t be coming back, there are other butter flower shops in town.

My son won an arrangement from your company through a contest with the Victoria Royals Hockey team. It arrived on Mother's Day morning at 11:00 am, and quite honestly was the most beautiful bouquet of roses I have ever seen! Each of the 5 or so dozen roses is pure perfection in colour and quality. Not sure if it's a generation issue, but the older ladies every single time give me attitude and make me feel incredibly stupid for not knowing what they do about plants and flowers. Ask for suggestions on air-purifying plants and got "all plants are". Wow,Thanks. I also learned that in elementary school! What I would've liked is her taken into consideration that BC IS ON FIRE and i'd suggest MAYBE not sassing the customers about a plant to help them breathe.

I got my wedding flowers from Brown’s and they were amazing. My husband and I decided to get married in March back in late January. When I started looking for a flower shop in February, it was not easy due to Valentine’s day. Getting the flowers was one of the things that kept me awake at night because I was so worried that I might not be able to flowers at all for the wedding. However, when I contacted Brown’s, they were very responsive and told me that they will contact me again after Valentine’s day. And they actually did! (There was another shop that told me they will contact me again after valentines day and they never did) They were awesome at recommending different options for me since I know nothing about flowers. When I saw my bouquet on my wedding day, it was exactly how I dreamed of. It was so beautiful. All the flowers including my bouquet were so fresh and nice. Thank you so much for creating everything I dreamed of with such a short notice.

If this wasn't exciting enough, I received a call from the manager a few days before(so sorry I don't remember her name...was drinking wine!), and she asked alot of amazing questions about my Mom...favourite colours and flowers etc.! My husband bought me a dozen red roses from the langford store. 1/3 did not open, 1/3 opened and drooped and 1/3 barely opened. All of them darkened and looked dried up almost immediately. Within a day or so of purchasing them they were all spent. Expensive and such a waste of money. Much better flower shops on the west shore. Rip off don't buy at the Langford store have had this problem before.

Worst florist in the city. Stay away from this place. I used to get flower deliveries frequently - at least one a month. The last two deliveries I got this place were absolutely terrible. One was for mother's day and one for my wedding anniversary last weekend. The mother's day flowers seemed like they just bunched together some scraps they had left over (heavy on green fillers) and it looked like they attempted to to a hand tied bouquet and ran out of floral wire and they just stuffed it into a glass vase and dropped it off around 4pm. I was disappointed but didn't want to complain. The order I received after that was for my anniversary and it looked absolutely terrible. It looked like a five year old arranged it with eyes closed. The filler greenery they had used was half eaten by worms. There was brown residue in the bottom of the vase. When I called Brown's to let them know about it, the manager told me that it's too bad that I'm not happy with it and that Brown's probably isn't the florist for me. This place is over priced for the quality of the products they sell and have absolutely awful customer service. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Save yourself the disappointment and go somewhere else.

This florist is absolutely fabulous. My mom and I ordered a couple things for my sister for Mother's Day. We live in Alberta and we left it almost to the last minute (Saturday Morning) to place our order. There was a notice on the website saying that they were full for Mother's Day deliveries but that they would call the recipients and read the card messages that were left and get the deliveries out as soon as possible. We choose a herb planter as well as a potted flower with a chocolate bar, and added a card so that they could call and give the message on Mother's Day. Well yesterday afternoon (Mother's Day) we got a message from my sister thanking us for the beautiful flowers & planter!!! They were able to deliver them for us which was amazing and so, so appreciated! The flowers were exactly as requested and they were beautiful and the herb planter was gorgeous and full as well. My sister loved them. Thank you so much for getting this out to her yesterday, it was amazing of you to do that for us! We definitely know who we will be ordering arrangements from in the future! Thank you again!!

Recently completed an online order from out of Province to send to to my sister for her birthday. The website was clear and very easy to navigate. Pricing seemed fair compared to everywhere else. Delivery fee was very fair as they do live a bit out of the city. I received a phone call the day before the delivery with a very nice young woman apologizing because they didn't have the exact kitty birthday card in stock ( I laughed a little). Not a big deal at all and would have been fine with them substituting another card. But what a great experience as a paying client to have them call first to let me know. My sister sent me a picture of the bouquet and it was very fresh and healthy looking. The flowers were large and there was a bunch of blooms that haven't even opened yet!! All in all, it was a 5 star experience from start to finish!! They email you every step of the way as well, including once your delivery has been delivered.

Although the younger employees are very helpful and very nice to talk to, there is a older lady who works here with white/grey hair who has been really rude and condescending toward me and I've witnessed her do the same to other customers. Plus the last few plants I've purchased from here have been infested with pests particularly spider mites. Very disappointing because the plants appear to be in wonderful condition untill you get them home.

I'm from Alberta and I ordered online from Brown's the Florist for a family member whose pet died the other day. I was really impressed by their selection of flowers, cards, and chocolates. Particularly the fact that they had Roger's Chocolates, which I know are fantastic. I love Wrendale cards and was so happy they had them, especially since one was a mouse and it was a beloved pet mouse that passed away. I'm very thankful that the order was delivered to my family member the same day that I ordered it so it could be a comfort to them when the grieving was strongest. Thank you Brown's for being the means by which I could comfort a loved one. :)
