Paid 150$ for mothers day flowers that never were delivered. Have recieved no notice from the company. Bad form. After speaking with the owner, I was informed I was sent an email, which i never recieved(checked all incoming mail folders) they never attempted to call me, and apparently cancelled my order without telling me. I was also informed that the flowers I ordered, which were available on their website, wouldnt be available until june! I'm sticking with the 1 star review because this company has done nothing but fail me. I would not recommend buying flowers from here.

I ordered last week for my moms birthday today. There was an error (not the fault of the company) with my flowers and the customer service I received was wonderful. It was nice to feel like the owner really cared about the problem and how quickly it was resolved, especially considering there is a global pandemic going on right now. Seeing a lot of really horrible reviews on here for simple mistakes makes me sad. It's great to support small businesses but if something goes wrong talk to them before reviewing and potentially destroying their business :(

Ordered "Premium" size bouquet. It was a pretty bouquet and delivered on time. But kind of expensive relative to size. Cost $185 including delivery and tax. After delivery, I asked why so small and they explained "The measurement includes the outer edges of greenery.... these pictures are doctored "

Today I found myself waiting at the door of Roberta Place retirement lodge. While waiting for the nursing staff to come to the front door, a man pulled up to deliver a bouquet of flowers to the front door. We had small talk about the day and how long his flower shop had been in the plaza (Very brief). The nurse arrived to the door and asked who was waiting first, he turned his head away and proceed to shove the flowers out in her direction. She kindly exclaimed “Oh nice, a flower delivery. Who are they for?” He replied very disgruntled and in a very irritated tone “it’s on the card.” Then sauntered off back in the direction of his vehicle. The nurse had not heard him and called out to ask again, he replied “it’s on the card” very short and irritated before getting back in his truck. I’m appalled. This gentleman showed up to a nursing home, in the middle of a pandemic, without a mask and then proceed to make the staff member feel like an absolute inconvenience. I was shocked. These lovely nurses have been working so hard during all of Covid-19 non-stop and to have someone show up and speak to them in such a tone is absolutely unacceptable. I can’t speak towards their products- but if you want to support local I suggest you start with a small business that offers customer service to their customers, potential customers and strangers alike.

What a great experience- what a great family company! I called at 5:30pm the night before Valentines Day (yes I was late getting to this). They said they were fully booked for deliveries the next day, which is understandable. I asked if there was anything they could do as I was out of town and this for an important person to me who could use a "little pick me up". They passed me on the to the owner. She was lovely and really understanding and found a way to add my delivery to their busy schedule. I was so impressed! What a great experience. You could tell it was a family company. So nice to talk to someone local who was able to make it happen and create a great bouquet. This is my go to florist in Barrie and will drop by to thank them owner personally!!!!

My mother bought me flowers from here for my birthday and because I dident answer the door fast enough they charged me $10 to come back (for my birthday) and when they got here they dident even have change so I couldent pay him anyway. Most disorganized store, and careless!!!!

The customer service is just amazing. Came to buy a bouqet for my wife, and she liked it a lot. Inside the store was clean and very organized. Pretty much you can choose from anything and they have a quite broad spectrum to choose from. I would recommend this place for all the events.

Pick me up flowers is a great local Barrie flower shop! For my father's funeral in 2019 they created beautiful arrangements, including a plant arrangement that is still being enjoyed in my home over a year later! We would go no where else for any of our flower needs!

I always try to shop locally to support small businesses- especially during Covid. However I am very dissatisfied with the service and product I ordered from Pick Me Up Flowers- so much so that I turned the car around to have a discussion with the shop owner. When I ordered the flowers I referenced the type and colour of flowers from a photo they had online which were in a vase. I asked for pink, purple, green and yellow flowers. I was specific- I wanted vibrant and colourful flowers with NO red. Once I arrived to pick up the flowers they were wrapped as a bouquet with NO vase. Strike one. The owner refused to acknowledge the miscommunication and I left with the bouquet as the flowers had a 30 min drive out of water. A few minutes down the road I took a good look at My $56 dollar bouquet and was immediately disappointed- a very standard, smallish bouquet consisting mostly of white carnations, white chrysanthemum, and burgundy mums which are considered a dark red colour. No yellow anywhere and only two purple flowers. Pretty blah. After a very justified second discussion with the owner she refused to take the flowers back or even replace the burgundy flowers. She DID offer to provide a vase- for $20! So much for supporting local- clearly my business is not respected or appreciated. Let’s be real- you can buy 3 times the amount of colourful, vibrant flowers at Costco for $60. Much better value for my hard earned money.

Saturday, 11 July 2020, my sister-in-law’s husband and I were tasked by our wife's to get flowers for their mother who was resting at the Peaceful Transition funeral location in Barrie. The only florist we found open was Pick Me Up Flowers. Their website stated they closed at 3 pm. We arrived there about 2:50 pm. We explained to the two people running the shop why and what we wanted. Both of them were very helpful and ensured us it was not a problem to provide an arrangement in a vase and a boutique for our mother-in-law to hold. The flowers provided were spectacular. Our wife’s were very pleased. The Peaceful Transition staff thought the flowers were very nice and made note of where they were obtained so they could let others know. Based on our experience I have no hesitation in recommending Pick Me Up Flowers.

Showed up at the store shortly before closing on a busy Saturday. The store where I ordered a corsage was closed and I had only a half hour to get one. The owner graciously made a beautiful one for me even though she had no time to do it. She saved our day and was very reassuring and kind.

Disappointed, I waited 25 minutes for the florist to prepare a bouquet of 18 long stem red roses with leather leaf and gypsophila. Got them home only to discover they were not even trimmed or de -thorned. They were wrapped with a wet towel -some cling wrap and gift paper. They weren’t long stem, they had no fragrance and several of the rose stems were damaged below the flower. My wife cut her hand on a the thorn whilst unwrapping the flowers. A good florist knows to clean and trim roses to make a bouquet.

I recieved a nice flower arrangement for my first child and was very happy with the nice suprise. I would really recommend Pick Me Up Flowers as they're a great local shop with beautiful arrangements. However my step mother had ordered through justflowers.com which is a 3rd party organization which I'll warn is not based in Canada and charges USD and they're arrangement descriptions are not up to date and are inaccurate. There are lots of these websites and they will charge you WAY MORE money and in USD then they just place an order with the local flower shop and usually downgrade it due to them wanting a better cut. If you're planning you order flowers, my best advice is to call up a store and avoid using any website that does not share the namesake of the shop you're ordering from.

Honestly, not worth the price. I paid a $145 total and even paid a $10 delivery fee for them to deliver in Barrie!!! $10 would have got me there and back with an uber. I had it delivered to support the store and the delivery driver. All that was great but the product is extremely disappointing. I was better off driving and buying 50 red roses at a grocery store. The flowers are not all fresh and the picture on the website was deceitful and misleading.

What my mom ordered from NS for my birthday, and what I received. I completely understand that not always the flowers are available, but 5 daisy’s and baby’s breath, and a chipped scratched vase is not a substitution for the price she paid! When I showed my mom, she emailed the shop and was offered a 15% refund, it’s been 3 weeks and still no refund has not shown on her credit card!

Beware using this company. They took my money and did not deliver the flowers: This was my experience: Every year in appreciation to my accountant, I send a floral centerpiece for Christmas. This year I decided to try pick-me-up flowers; a local company minutes from their home. This order was made 10 days in advance for delivery Dec 24. Pick-me-up flowers never ATTEMPTED to deliver the flowers. They did not alert me to the fact that they didn’t deliver the flowers until 10 DAYS AFTER the delivery date. They charged me $116.33 And refused to refund the money. At the time I made this order.. Pick-me-up flowers asked for a phone number for the delivery address. I explained that I only had the persons work numbers not their home number where the delivery was to be made. Pick-me-up said no problem they would delivery anyway. Pick-me-up assured me that they would work it out and “not to worry”. 10 days AFTER the delivery date I received a voice mail stating that the delivery was never made because” it was a business that was closed that day”. They never even attempted delivery! Grace, the owner of Pick me up, told me that because they had tried calling the phone number that this meant they had met their obligation for the delivery so I would be charged anyway. She was completely unapologetic. I feel that I was misled at the time of the order. They should have fulfilled their promise to deliver the flowers. They should have let me know if there was a problem. And they certainly should never have charged me for a delivery not delivered. I am embarrassed that my gift was never received. I am angry at being ripped off for $116.33. Friendly and helpful at the time of order. Rude and story changed 10 days later.

Overall happy with the arrangement that I ordered for my Grandmas birthday back in September, she was also very happy with it! When ordering I put in the postal code I needed it delivered to, it then calculated shipping at $10. The next day I received a call to say the location was out of there service area so they would need to charge my card an extra $10 fee, I gave them my card and then realized that they charged my card $20 extra. Day of delivery they showed up to her condo at 5pm and she had stepped out for dinner, I thought they would have called prior with a time as the companies I have used in the past have done so, I gave the lady instructions to put it at her back door. The delivery guy then called me because he was confused with the directions, he wasn't pleasant to talk to. I do understand the frustration he was feeling but I also paid $30 for delivery and $120 for the arrangement and he was there for no longer then 10 minutes. Usually when someone is having flowers delivered, the person receiving the flowers arent aware of it, a simple phone call an hour or 2 prior would have solved all of the frustration and made the process a lot smoother.

I called Pick Me Up Flowers today for flowers for a deceased relative. They were extremely busy with Mother's Day orders, but the lady made time to take my order and it was delivered in the evening. I can't thank her and the staff enough. And the flowers were just gorgeous!!!

I ordered a specific plant and they sent something entirely different to my mother and of course, no one picked up the phone when I tried to call. When I had inquired about the delivery status, I should have been informed AT THAT MOMENT that they did NOT have the specific plant as ordered and that they can substitute it or refund my money. Instead they sent my mother something completely different. WHAT IF SHE HAD BEEN ALLERGIC TO THE PLANT THAT WAS SENT??? Totally unprofessional. What if this was someone else's mother who had an allergic reaction to a substitution? The minimum you can do is call and let the consumer know that you do not have the original plant / flower in stock and at least offer an alternative. Don't just assume and make that decision as you will leave yourself open to a LAWSUIT!! **UPDATE** AS A COMPANY THAT FILLED THE ORDER, WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE WAS CALLED AND CONFIRMED THE ORDER WITH ME BEFORE BLINDLY DELIVERING, ESPECIALLY WHEN WE SPOKE ABOUT WHY YOU WERE LATE TO BEGIN WITH. THEN YOU HAD THE NERVE TO TELL ME THAT I WON'T GET A REFUND WHEN I PAID FOR RUSH DELIVERY. DO NOT PRESUME TO TELL ME WHAT I CAN AND CAN'T DO WHEN YOU HAVE MY MONEY AND DID NOT PROVIDE THE SERVICE FOR WHICH I PAID. YOU MIGHT WANT TO CHECK YOUR PROCESSES WHEN ACCEPTING ONLINE ORDERS, FULL STOP.

Aug 2020: Fantastic customer service, very simple process for placing an order, overall great experience! Oct 2020: I have ordered flowers to be delivered twice now, once via phone and once via online. Both experiences have been amazing, very easy to place an order online and timely delivery has been great. Super friendly staff and the bouquets that have arrived were both immaculate!
