DELIVERY NEVER CAME. Called them on the day it was supposed to be delivered and the lady who answered was very rude and hung up on me even though I was politely asking for what happened to my order. I called a good number of times after that but they just ignored my calls. Do not order if you want your order to come on time or at all. Here's proof of delivery date (7/16/2021, FRIDAY). They cancelled our order even though we paid for it. No compensation, no refund, no respectful reply but yet they managed to make it even worse by not even delivering it al all.

The girls are a treat to have in the neighbourhood. I have some real doubts these bitter notes live in Brentwood Bay because we are all pretty happy to have them here. Thank you!

My Wife ordered flowers well ahead of time and the flowers did not arrive. It was for a 90th Birthday and the flowers never arrived. When we called no accountability whatsoever. So upsetting and they did not take any responsibility for their error and also no attempt to make it right. We have subsequently heard similar stories from other people. AVOID THIS FLORIST. *In response to the Petals N Buds response, I am not a troll and my wife placed the order. I was motivated to make this review when I heard from a close relative that a funeral flower arrangement has not arrived at the community centre as promised. Apparently Petals and Buds has blamed it on FedEx. Read there are many reviews with a similar stories late or no deliveries and poor customer service.

I was not trying to look good, I was merely wishing family a Happy New Year and wanting to put a trying year in the rear view mirror. It wasn't last minute, I ordered it with lots of time. If you couldn't handle the business you should have closed down your ordering/selling process. I'm not sure why you would ever think that you need to tell me to go elsewhere next time I need flowers delivered. You are more out of touch than I thought. I will never use your shop again and I suspect/hope all the other people that got ripped off will stay away too. I ordered flowers on the same day for my niece in Vancouver from a different shop and all went well. They provided a fabulous arrangement. It was exactly as I thought it would be and it was delivered with no drama. I have a question that I would like to put out there. Here on Google you have very few stars, a very poor rating, but the Testimonials on your web sight are all 5 stars - I wonder how that happens. I did also put a comment there, however it isn't being shown. I don't usually leave feedback good or bad, but I just had to warn your future customers about your awful customer service and and lack of pride in your work.. I was trying to wish my brother and his wife happy new year with some pretty flowers (first picture is what I ordered and was expecting, or something comparable), the second picture is what was delivered. I am not happy, they told me the same thing they told other customers, "bring it back and they'll replace it for the same amount of $$ spent". Why not send the right stuff out the first time? I am ordering from Ontario, a gift for my brother, they said to have him make an appointment to return it. I'm not going to ask the person I sent the flowers to, to do that. Just absolutely unbelievable. Sounds like this is the way they stay in business. Deliver substandard product and expect no one to go back for a replacement. Stay away from these guys, don't waste your time and money. Not worth one star, but have to give them one so I can post. I'm sad that I got cheated and embarrassed about the stupid looking arrangement that was delivered.

I wish there was a zero star rating because one is too much! Was out of town for my wife’s birthday and I relied on these people They took my money happily enough but DID NOT DELIVER ! I called many times and no answer, sure enough the messages were full( probably by more upset customers) Finally was graced with an answer and told they don’t guarantee delivery!! What!! I spent over 200$ to try to make a day special for someone I care about ! And you don’t guarantee a delivery!?! I wish I read reviews about this place before I tried to support a local shop and make up for the fact I was out of town on my wife’s birthday I can’t stress this enough! Support businesses who actually care enough to put in a effort It’s a 2 MINUTE DRIVE to where the flowers had to be delivered!! I want my money back !! What I ordered and paid $100 for (on the left) and what was delivered (on the right). The only substitution was to be different coloured roses...as she did not have orange. Its a nice bouquet, something I would pick up at the grocery store not what I expect from a Florist. When I confronted her she was very very rude and started yelling at me, twice I asked her to stop yelling. She then accused me of wanting my money back to which I said no but a reduction would be nice and was told I was not getting one. Told me to go and ask for it back and they could have a store credit...really. As she started yelling at me again I did hang up. If she had been more open and honest with me and said she could not do that arrangement I could have chosen a different one. Total lack of professionalism and very poor customer service. DO NOT TRUST TARA I don't normally leave reviews, but this is heartbreaking. Please read! I dropped off two flowers with foliage from my Father's casket which he was buried with. My father left nothing material behind after he passed, these two roses I plucked from his arms before his burial was all I had left of him. After dropping them off for preservation, Tara told me it would take two weeks, and she would take care of them and honor them. After a month and a half, I called for an update - she had clearly forgotten and excused it by saying she had other clients ahead of me. She told me the original flowers were fine. 2 months after dropping them off, I pick up the flowers to find FAKE different roses. I noticed right away as my dad's flowers were short with no leaves. She had framed (in a frame I provided) two long stemmed roses poorly arranged with pins in them, long stemmed, and full of leaves. I confronted her over the phone - she lied and told me "at least she charged me less of it". She was extremely rude, un-empathetic, and unprofessional. What a horrible person. I will never have this important piece of my deceased father because of this fraudulent person Tara. Please do not trust her. I am heartbroken. I can only advise against it. What a terrible person.

**response to owner: I never saw a notice on your website and your phone message definitely said nothing of a delay Ordered Flowers for Mothers day two weeks in advance. On Mothers Day nothing arrives. The recipient or myself never got a call or an email that the flowers were not going to be delivered on the specified day. A nice surprise ended up being a huge let down. The next morning I tried calling but it would just ring once and go to a full mailbox where I couldn't leave a message. I also emailed in the morning and never got a response until the end of the day after I sent another email asking to cancel the order. I told her again to cancel the order and don't get an email until the 2pm the next day telling me its already on a vehicle. Again I told them to cancel the order and refund me. After telling them to cancel the order 3 times they delivered the flower 3 days late on Wednesday morning. I am beyond unhappy with how unprofessional they were. To be honest if they had called or email I would have been a little more sympathetic but they never did and their communication was terrible.

I had very good service, they phoned me to acommodate my order, very friendly and professional. The flowers looked amazing! My grande parents let me know that your driver was very helpfull at the door. the orcade was large and heavy so they asked if she would be comfortable to come in and place it. She said they talked for at least 15 minutes and really appreciated all the care tips. I have not been able to see my grande parents in quite a while since Covid and I really appreciate this kind of friendly and caring service. I will definately call you and recommed you to my friends and family.

Absolutely horrible. Would give it 0 stars if I could. Ordered flowers for my mother in law for Mother's Day. She never received it. I've been trying to contact them all day and they let their phone run to a full voice mail. Sent emails as well... According to other reviews, they deliver at a later day and then charge you a full price.I don't want a later delivery. I wanted them on Mother's Day, or my money refunded. Absolutely horrible service!! To the owner: Please don't tell me to reach you, because it's impossible. Just refund my money (order #8317111). It looks like you have many unhappy customers and that you are not learning from your mistakes. You made sure to process my order (charge my credit card) at 5:15pm on Mother's Day (I ordered the day before). Why would you do that if you knew you didn't deliver and would not be delivering that day???

My sister ordered the gift basket shown in the first picture, as a Christmas gift for me. It was supposed to be delivered on Dec.22. The items in picture 2 are what actually arrived in the gift bag shown in picture 3. These arrived at 6:30 pm on Christmas Day. My sister paid $112. for what she ordered. What I received looked like dollar store items and couldn’t be worth more than $20. In total. Unbelievable!! So upset that they would rip by sister off, when she was being so kind. They said, that if I return the items delivered to me, to the Saanich store, I can choose plants or flowers to the value of what my sister ordered. Why should I have to do a 25 min. drive to make a return. They should deliver what my sister ordered and then pick up the garbage they delivered on Christmas Day. Plants are no good to me as my cats destroy them.

I just bought one of those hyacinth for indoor flower in a glass jar things as a gift for $20. When I took off all the stickers to wrap it I uncovered a dollarama price sticker for $3.50. They’re buying gift items from dollarama and selling it for a ridiculously high mark up. Not what I would expect from a small neighbourhood business. Very disappointing.

Delivered a bouquet to the wrong address and when I phoned to let them know, called me a jerk for pointing out that the address was just down the road. I delivered it for them anyway and never called to thank me, but the recipient did. The card contained the correct address, the recipients name, and phone number. Lots of personal info to leave on a random porch.

This is the first one star review I have ever posted. I too was part of the Mother's Day disappointment. I ordered the flowers to arrive on Saturday and when they had not arrived by Sunday, I cancelled the order. They ignored my request and delivered the flowers on Monday. They blamed this on me and claimed I screwed up because I needed to phone to cancel. I had phoned to cancel and their voicemail indicated that all correspondence needed to be via email. I have had many exchanges with the store via email and they really seem to feel sorry for themselves (too busy, understaffed etc.). They claim to be customer service oriented, but I've seen no evidence of that. Unlike their competitors who ethically posted "Sorry, we can't deliver by Mother's Day" on their websites, Pets N Buds Brentwood Bay's site indicated that they could fulfill the orders but we would get no choice of bouquet. They continued to take orders when they knew that they did not have the staff or flowers to fulfill these orders. Seems like a big grab for cash. Shame on them for taking advantage of everyone during these difficult times.

BEST FLORIST EVER! I wanted to wish my sister and her husband a Happy New Year with some pretty flowers and ordered the day of New Years not really expecting to be able to do it. I called Petals n Buds and the lady took my order, the last one of the day. I am so grateful because I was not able to visit them this year due to Covid restrictions. They said they did not have a lot on hand but would put something together with what was left. I received the most beautiful arrangement of roses and a candle for them to burn on New years. It was really important that the message be right and they were bang on. My sister was really touched by my effort and I am so grateful to have some very accommodating companies to call, still in business. What would will we do without our home grown businesses. I thank you guys for staying in business and thank you for answering and taking my order. I know Walmart or Amazon would not do what you did. I am so grateful and hope you feel the love this year. Its been tough on everyone.

Looking for flowers for a Christmas treat to be sent to family, and saw this website had availability to be delivered on Wednesday 23rd December so I proceeded with my order. The flowers didn't turn up on the 23rd or 24th. Every time I tried to call, the mailbox was full and when emailing I would receive a delayed, generic response "We are working hard to fulfil all our orders". At 10pm 25th December I received an email saying my order had been delivered but it had not. Upon calling the flower company, I finally got through to speak to someone only to have the employee raised her voiced at me, tell me I "clearly didn't understand the business of COVID and Christmas", and that they have no guarantees of delivery. She then hung up on me. Incredibly frustrated and disappointed after trying to support local businesses, to receive such terrible customer service. It seems this is a common trend in the Google reviews over the past few days, with no items being delivered.

Then she received an email saying could not fulfil your order, order with us again another time. No apology no explanation! If you can't fulfil an order you need to tell people.

I have to say that I am very disappointed in this business and will not use them again. I have now had 3 bad experiences ordering from Petals n Buds. I am very understanding and certainly willing to overlook small issues, but at this point (even though I never normally complain), in good conscience, I need to give a bad review. My first order - probably about a year and a half ago - arrived about 2 or 3 weeks early, not on the date that I had indicated. Annoying, but not the end of the world. A second time, I ordered a certain type of flowers and a cheap substitution was made without any notification to me or verification that I was okay with the change. Fine, but noted. This final straw occurred this past Mother's Day. I placed my order on April 18th for a delivery on May 7th (two days before Mother's Day to ensure my mother would receive them before the actual day and knowing this time of year to be extra busy). No delivery on the 7th. No delivery on the 8th. I called (no message could be left) and emailed on Mother's Day to say that my mother was not going to be available to receive a delivery on this day, which was why I wanted the flowers delivered two days earlier. The flowers were FINALLY delivered late afternoon on Mother's Day and left in her mailbox. When she received the flowers the following day, they were not even placed in water - dry stems and half dead. The company has yet to respond to my emails or refund my money. To say this is poor customer service is truly an understatement. I love to support local, but sad to say this business won't have a return customer.

If we could provide zero stars we would. The order confirmation stated delivery would be for December 23, 2020 in time for Christmas. Once it was the 24th we called to see where the order was in the process, the phones would not connect stating they were too busy so we elected to email. We received emails late on the 24th that they were working hard to be fulfilled. It is now the 26th and no delivery has been made although a delivery confirmation email was received at 10:45pm on on Christmas Day. We emailed to say that the recipient did not receive anything as per the confirmation email. The company must have seen this and called the recipient to confirm the delivery and they stated that nothing was received. We have just got off the phone with a very rude employee who immediately got defensive when we asked for a refund as the flowers were not delivered on time and a false delivery confirmation notice. Instead of listening to the situation the employee provided numerous excuses regarding the holidays, covid, and we were wrong because there was disclaimers on the order stating they were busy and there may be delays; there are no disclaimers that requiring clicking accept, that said our confirmation email still stated December 23rd delivery. The employee proceeded to be very rude to my partner, raising her voice and stating she did not understand the process. Regardless of the process the service/product was not delivered on time and a false delivery notice was provided. The employee went on to explain that for a delivery to take place signatures are required at the door which would not have happened at 10:45pm on Christmas night and they did not call the recipients phone number provided as per our instructions. Multiple times on our call she said “uhm I don’t even know who you are” after providing our name multiple times during the call. After getting no where she began to scream more and eventually hung up on us after asking that we email because she can’t handle a conversation over the phone. Based on the reviews this seems to be a common occurrence. I have worked in customer service my whole life and this entire situation was handle terribly from the beginning. My recommendations are below: - Deliver your product on time as confirmed in the email. - Deliver your product. - Do not provide delivery confirmation for products not delivered. - Have an online system that caps out when you can no longer fulfill orders by a certain date/time. - Do NOT yell at customers. - Do not make excuses for a mistake, they happen, own them and make it right or provide a refund. - Do not blatantly lie to customers about process. - Do not hang up on customers. Based on the other reviews of similar nature I would suggest completing a through review of your business process and general customer service training. We have canceled the charge through our credit card company to get our money back as no service/product has been delivered and we do not want to support this business.

I ordered flowers from here for a friends wedding and they were absolutely stunning, fresh and perfect for our dear friend. She will be so ecstatic when we décor the room even though we cant invite a large group. She gets her dream wedding, virtually. We are decorating the hall and church like there would be a million people and streaming it so all her friends and family can take part. We have cheese boxes going out to every guest and we expect them to eat this during live stream as we all try out this new way of weddings. Tara from Petals n Buds has been helping us get the whole thing organized and I cant say more about how kind and creative she is. Website states they are open 9 am to 7 pm; they were closed when I went at 9:30 am. I called to ensure they were indeed open and told them I was looking for individual stems. When I went back to the shopthe door was locked and they asked if I was picking up an order. I told the woman I just wanted a few individual stems and was told they don't sell individual flowers. I went to Fairway Market to get what I needed.

A really unpleasant customer experience. I ordered the flowers online for mothers day and paid for them to the best of my knowledge. E.g. Entered my credit card details and order was accepted and submitted. Flowers did not arrive. Got an email at 7 pm Mothers Day evening requesting another payment. Received an email on Monday saying the process of order has been started and they would let me know when delivered. My phone calls and emails throughout the week to verify there had been another legitimate request for payment were not returned. On Friday, 7 days after my order, I finally received a phone from the florist who informed me that I had not in fact paid. From the other reviews on this site, I understand I was not the only one impacted. This must have been a very hard week for the company. An unfortunate experience for everyone involved.

I should have read the reviews before ordering flowers at this shop. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!!!!! Like many others, it was easy to order online and for them to charge me but no flowers arrived on Mother's Day. This was for our step- mom who just lost her husband and is all alone as we live in Ontario. I called and they apologized and said the flowers would be delivered by Thursday or Friday. Who wants Mother Day flowers 5 days late??? But because of COVID I felt it was OK to overlook the lack of service. Friday came and no flowers. I emailed them Saturday at 5:30 AM asking for a refund and specifically requesting that the flowers not be sent because they have no meaning at this point. At 8:30 PM (15 hours later) I get this response: Good evening Cindy, Your flowers are in transit, if they have not already been delivered. The service we provide took much longer than anticipated and we are sorry for your wait. We have an exchange policy which allows you to return them within 24 hours of delivery and because we will be closed Sunday this extends to you for Monday. You are welcome to bring them back no questions asked and we will have new product for you to choose from to the value of the product purchased. We upgraded your flowers as promised so this will also be included if you choose to take advantage of our policy. Does this answer your question? Can you believe it??? My step-mom now has to bring the flowers back if I want a refund??????? So I was livid and sent this angry response: This is ridiculous. You are telling me that the flowers you agreed to deliver on the 9th, and subsequently said they would be delivered on May 14th and finally, after I had specifically asked to have a refund early this morning, you take it upon yourself to still deliver the flowers, and now it is up to us to return them?? You have got to be kidding! I will take it upon myself to write every horrible review possible for the next year, and I will engage all my friends to do the same, if you do not refund my money to me. You really expect that I will be complainant with Mother's Day flowers delivered more than a week later????? I don't want the flowers delivered and I sent that message VERY early today. There is absolutely no reason why you would not comply with my request and still send the flowers. I want to say right now, if the flowers have been delivered PICK THEM UP. We do not want them. And this is the message I get back: We did not see this email until late this afternoon. We did not make your bouquet "after" we saw your email, rather we carried through with our work to create and distribute custom orders to the people who placed them and then someone had enough time to look at emails. We do not have people staring at phones and responding to every digital form of communication someone might choose to communicate with. This is not realistic and I don't understand why anyone would think that is normal and we certainly don't think it's emotionally healthy. Social Media is not for everyone and not everyone has time to monitor emails and social media all day long as well as to put in a steady day's work. We are a small local business doing custom services for locals. Things happen like Covid and because so many people are sitting on the couch being paid to do so, does not mean that everyone is and that everyone sees an email the moment it arrives. We are having a harder time explaining these things to a few people then a majority. I do not even know what to say. And I was charged $165.00. And their excuse is it is COVID and it was Mother's Day. Well take a look at the other reviews from 3 and 4 months ago. Just the same terrible service. I cannot express enough my disappointment and frustration with this place. I will NEVER EVER use them again.

Flowers were ordered for a grieving widow. This half-dead mess is what arrived and we were told 'it may need water' When we sent an email, with pictures, to show what it looked like there was no response. Would never recommend this florist. In another cut flower bouquet from the same florist the lilies were already past their prime. **** Edited: Arrangement arrived at 9:15 am Feb 18. Picture taken at 5:15 pm same day. Emailed company with no response. *** Her defense in this review is indefensible.

**update - reply to Owner - you absolutely told my mother to leave, I was on the phone with you when I heard you say, “you need to leave” we were treated terribly in the store after being ignored for four days! That’s why we asked for a refund in person. I refused the flowers (you all of a sudden had time for) while my mum was there BECAUSE of your treatment of her and I. I no longer wanted to support your business and only wanted my refund of a product never delivered. Please don’t lie on top of all of this. Review of Petals and Buds- Ordered flowers for my mum and my money was taken and she never received her flowers! I gave it a couple days thinking, they’re a small business, Mother’s Day must be crazy. We never received a call or email letting us know they were behind or oversold, nothing, just silence. They don’t answer their phone and their voice mailbox is full, we also tried emailing several times without any response. I also tried to contact other locations with no success. I live in Vancouver otherwise I would’ve gone in to speak to them. By day four with no flowers, we received a bot email asking for feedback after receiving our arrangement! I had to send my poor mum in to inquire about her missing Mother’s Day gift! The doors were locked, shades drawn, she had to knock to get service. She was met with rudeness and told they won’t deal with her, only me. My mum phoned me right then and there to talk to the woman. She was awful to me and wouldn’t refund me and I told her I’d have to go to my credit card to get my money back as she has not delivered the product. She told me to go ahead and do that and said she can’t deal with this, your mother has to leave our store. Worst customer service EVER! First of all, don’t accept orders you can’t fill. Second, people make mistakes, I get that, it’s how you try to rectify the problem that makes the difference in good service and bad. Call your customers, email them! RESPOND! Third, you’re basically stealing! If you don’t deliver the product, you must refund your customers money! I’m still in shock by how we were treated!

Ordered flowers for my step moms's birthday. The manager allowed me to put the arrangement together myself (with a lot of instruction). We used the beautiful purple flowers and she loved them. The staff are great and product lasted us about 2 weeks. I think Petals N Buds is a fantastic small business and I highly recommend getting your flowers here!

Terrible people to deal with. Paid 70$ and 15$ for delivery which never happened and my money never returned. The house was only 4 km from the flower shop. This was a time consuming and maddening experience. My sister got a call to meet the delivery driver at the hwy. She waited almost an hour in the cold weather. No show, no telephone call, no flowers. This store and the people are a fraud. Bottom line....no flowers, no refund despite 3 attempts to help them just deliver the flowers I paid for.

Ordered flowers for Mother's Day delivery. Site showed a guarantee items would arrive on Mother's Day. Day came and passed no flowers arrived. Monday no flowers arrived, tried calling multiple times (well over a dozen) times from noon to 7pm no matter which location you pick it just rings once then gives a message that the mailbox is full. I can see from other reviews others are seeing the same results. Flat out false advertising, scam artists. Already spoke to the bank and will getting charges reversed from this shady company. Avoid at all costs.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered 2 bouquets for mothers day weekend. I called the shop first to be sure it was doable given the weekend that I was ordering them for. They said yes and politely asked me to order online. I did, for delivery on the Saturday. By Sunday evening still no delivery. I sent an email asking where the flowers were as the shop was closed and one of the deliveries was dropped off after 8 pm. The flowers were wilted and not what was ordered. The second delivery still not delivered by Monday. I tried calling all morning on the Monday. Voicemail was full. I sent another email and Facebook request to just to find out what happened. No response. Eventually they were delivered mid day Monday (when it was ordered for a delivery Saturday) I guess I am lucky because I understand many did not receive their deliveries. I do not recommend this shop. They may have had good intentions but it left a lot of disappointment that they couldn't deliver on time, and what was provided, was not up to par.

I don't know how the final product looked but I was not at all happy with the service. I ordered them to be delivered on Friday and they were not delivered until Monday. I ordered a potted plant and was called 2 days after the requested delivery to say that they didn't have any in stock and asked if they could send flowers instead. My mom doesn't really like flower deliveries as she'd prefer something she can plant. Being they were already 2 days late I didn't feel I had a choice and accepted the flower offer. I won't order from this company again.

This is one florist to avoid. No delivery. No customer service. Rude and very unprofessional. So far no refund either. My daughter ordered flowers for me for Mother’s Day. She tried to call numerous times and emailed numerous times too. No response. I went into the store to see if I could sort out where my flowers were and was told they couldn’t deal with me and to leave the store.
