We are from out of town and had Petal & Kettle do our flowers & decorations for our wedding at Tigh Na Mara. They were really easy to work with via email and phone (and one visit in person). I didn't have a specific idea for the types of flowers but more of a general vibe (romantic & nature). They did an amazing job and the bouquets were perfect! They also did decorations on the tables (greenery etc...), fabric on the the ceiling/walls, table numbers, and the seating chart. Everything was lovely and felt soft/romantic like we imagined. We went camping right after the wedding and had one of the bouquets sitting out on our picnic table and it lasted for days, still looking beautiful!! (Picture included). I don't have any of the professional wedding photos yet :)

Update: Much better this year. I left a moderate review last year after ordering a designer bouquet (~$50) for Mother's day. The floral arrangement then was adequate. This year I went for the premium designer bouquet (~$100), and as expected, it was much nicer. Worth the extra money. ... The flowers were delivered on time in a nice square vase. The arrangement itself was nice, but perhaps not worth the $60 I paid. I suppose that is often the sentiment with delivered flowers though. You are paying in large part for the delivery service, rather than for the flowers themselves. My florist-designed arrangement consisted of 3 red tulips (1 floppy), 1 red daisy, 2 pink roses, and a stem of orange alstroemeria, with a few pieces of greenery. Overall satisfied but not wowed by the experience.

It's been over a week now since my wife received a beautiful birthday flower arrangement from our daughter and her family who are overseas in Malta. She arranged for the delivery from Petal and Kettle, here in Parksville. With a small bit of loving care, the floral arrangement is looking great 8 days later and is still giving a lovely fragrance every time we pass by it in the house. This is the second or third time our daughters have used this local florist and gift boutique in our oceanside city. I specifically asked for roses. Was told they had purple, pink and red. Arrangement arrived with 1 purple and three small red roses. Arrangement was appreciated by my friend, but I must admit disappointment as I asked for roses....only roses!

It is disheartening to hear and see some of the customer service practices happening at this time. While I understand we are all experiencing big changes and losses, treating customers how you have will not foster support for you as you move through this crisis as a business. I will not recommend this company, to any of my family or friends who reside on the island. I will not pop by the “cute little flower shop that did my girlfriends wedding”, to grab a bouquet as we head to dinner, I will not recommend you to my mom who’s a realtor and buys fresh flowers for open houses and for closings all the time. And to be fair, they definitely would of heard of your amazing service as equally as they are going to hear the bad, I promise you that. We support small business! But It was nothing but stress and awful customer service for some people, by your company, and that’s not ok. Do better. We are all in this together.

Super disappointed, received flowers for my Birthday they were brown, dying and wilting. They were expressively told no Christmas by my family and I was given red berries. Took it back, they replaced the brown orchid with another one. Berries with white creased flowers. Included photos, but they actually look worse in person

Regret getting my wedding flowers here I order the bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages for my wedding from Petal and Kettle. I had three in-person meetings to review the order, sent emails, and called two days before the wedding to ensure that my wedding flowers arrived as ordered. The bouquets were to have burgundy dahlias, white and blush garden roses and spray roses, silver dollar eucalyptus, pink and white hypericum berries and lots of greenery. They were specifically to have no dusty miller, no succulents, and no seeded eucalyptus. My bouquet had no silver dollar eucalyptus, no pink hypericum berries, no white hypericum berries, spray roses that were still all closed up and very little greenery. The bouquets did have dusty miller, succulents and seeded eucalyptus, which I specifically told them not to include. The flowers are delivered right before you walk down the aisle, and that moment that I turned around from having my hair down to see my bouquet full of things that I specifically request not be included and missing the things I did was truly horrible. It’s your wedding day and so special and I was completely disrespected by Petal and Kettle. This is a day that I will never have again and here I am a bride who never got her bouquet. The boutonnieres were to have a spray rose with a little greenery. We had looked up specific photos and discussed in detail what I wanted. The boutonnieres were nothing like discussed, had small purple flowers behind (they said they were pink which is indifferent as neither should have been there) and they took this bamboo looking plant and bent it around. Every since one of the guys and even one wife commented on what on earth was up with them. No one was happy. To make matters worse my husband’s didn’t come with any pins and right before the ceremony he was frantically running around the hotel trying to find a pin. I spoke to Petal and Kettle and got a long list of excuses but no responsibility taken and they clearly did not understand how important wedding flowers are. They said they had to make a call when their supplier couldn’t supply some of the flowers but they couldn’t be bothered to check my file where I saw one of the ladies write down the 3 items I did not want included, never checked my emails, and never had the decency to phone me to tell me of the change or ask if it was ok. When I called in to confirm all was received ok I was told that the employee I spoke to was not aware of the order change so didn’t know anything was wrong but it was their fault to not tell their employees or ME! For the boutonnieres I was told that they are artistic and like to take liberties but I was never told this. Had I been told this I would never have used them. They never ask me if I was ok with this. Further, they said they didn't take any notes from my meetings with them for the boutonnieres! I specifically ordered something and they did not provide it. They clearly have no concept of contract law. They said that they tried hard but I honestly don’t care. I would rather have a florist who doesn’t care but actually got me my wedding bouquet than one that says they tried and royally screwed up. The only thing I regret about my wedding is using Petal and Kettle. I will never use them again. I am sad every time I see a wedding photo of a bride with a nice bouquet and now every time I see my wedding photos I think how much I hate my bouquet. To make matters even worse the dusty miller that I didn’t want was floppy and the roses of poor quality. Even my sister commented on how bad they looked. At one point I was able to pull some of it out of my bouquet and through it away but I couldn’t get all of it because it was bound too tight. I am writing this review so no other bride will have to go through what I did.

I found y'all off A Google search because I live in florida and my family is in parksville. I ordered a bouquet and tea for my mom's bday back at the beginning of December and 3 months later she is STILL talking about how beautiful it was and how long the flowers lasted for! (She liked the tea as well....but she REALLY liked those flowers!) Thank you so much for making my mom's day, will definitely order from you guys again! (And I'm pretty sure you've got a future customer in my mom too!) Amazing job!

Used them for my wedding. They were expensive. My bridal bouquet was barely bigger than my junior bridesmaids posies and cost 4 times as much. The color scheme wasn't what I asked for. I wanted peach/champagne and got pink instead. The flowers were mostly nice but not as good as they should have been.

*I am updating this review as Petal and Kettle has since been in touch with me to fix the mistake, and a beautiful basket was sent with all the missing items plus a few extras. I ordered the Premium Gourmet Meat and Cheese Basket that was supposed to have 3 assorted salamis/sausages, 3 varieties of crackers, and 5 cheeses, plus a mustard and a tapenade. The package that was delivered to my father was not at all what I ordered or what was described on the website, but rather a cheap substitute. My father received a package with one "cheese spread" rather than an actual cheese, one package of crackers, a package of salami "snackers" - not even real salami or sausage. There was no mustard or tapanade. Certainly NOT worth the $100 dollars that it cost. It was very disappointing. I have emailed the company and received no response. I would recommend to anyone NOT to order from this company. Poor product, poor customer service. Very disappointing.

Very nice and friendly staff, but don't buy the chocolate! Very poor quality for the high prices. The chocolate fillings were quite grainy and tasted old.
