Neat little flower shop well situated in trendy Marda Loop right on 33rd Ave. We visited during Marda Gras so they were presumably much busier than usual and the little ship was quite full. Although the cooler is quite small, they have a decent selection of fresh cut flowers which are well displayed 'Dutch Style" so you can pick a selection for a hand tied bouquet. Great selection of silks as well.

Quality 10/10 Value 7/10 Customer Service 5/10 I have never met ruder staff than in this store. I have to prepare for it and expect it before I go in so I don't get frustrated. Accusations of changing arrangements was the most recent incident but it wasn't the first and likely won't be the last. I recommend this florist based on the product you walk away with but definitely NOT for the experience and often not for the price.

I have been a client of WIld about Flowers for years. I send all my clients flowers from them and they have always offered such great customer service and have amazing flowers. UNFORTUNATELY...I received a bouquet from them today from out of town family members, that know I love this boutique. The arrangement was very poor quality, brownish ugly roses, etc. I took the flowers in as soon as they were delivered to be very disappointed with the poor, uncaring service I received. They didn't care....they said they put together an arrangment that they were asked to do and that was what I was getting:-( I told them I had been coming here for years and doubted that my family wanted me to receive these to comfort me after my dad's passing this week! My family informed me that they had asked for pink or fuschia flowers.....Anyways its obvious that managment has changed and that this is not the shop for good customer service. SADLY BUYER BEWARE!

Why don't I pop in here more often? I've been infrequently stopping and collecting flowers here for at least 10 years ... I think it was my daughters grade 12 Grad in 2012 since the last time I was here until quite recently (Oh man - that was nearly 6 years ago!!! Ouch!). From the moment you walk into the shop you feel the greatness of the ladies who work here and the love in what they do. Fast, efficient, friendly ... all with Love! (... I think I have to schedule 'pop by' visits into my calendar - just to remember to go back. Yup - that's nutty.)

I live outside of Philadelphia, but I have a lot of family in Calgary. This is the ONLY flower shop I will order from. Their flowers have never disappointed, the staff is friendly, and they always work with me to make the process fun and easy. Oh, and my family is always in love with their flowers!

I have been to Wild About Flowers countless times since it has opened. It has always been a favorite and I always request my partner to shop there for flowers as well. Usually it is a great experience. However today was not that kind of experience. We were not welcomed when coming in and the service was less than good. I was disappointed that the staff seemed unexcited for my business, flustered at helping me when I was looking for specific flowers from the fridge, and it felt like I was an imposition. Not sure what happened today but it has deterred me from returning for future purchases. So far the flowers are still in good condition but it is unfortunate that in a time like this the service was poor. I know from currently working for a small business that it is a stressful time but it was none the less extremely disappointing. I am all about shopping local especially in Marda Loop but I will likely be taking my business elsewhere.

I called in to order an arrangement for a special occasion the day before I needed them, gave the store an amount and what I would like to see in the arrangement. I was blown away by what was created, I couldn't have asked for anything more. They carry a beautiful selection of unique flowers that come from all over the world. The flowers actually smell amazing which is hard to find lately! The florist that helped me, Becky had a wonderful eye for composition, simplicity and beauty and I could tell she was passionate about her job. This is hands-down, absolutely the BEST flower shop in Calgary. There are no words to express how this little flower shop has managed to be the best kept secret in Marda Loop given its world-class selection of flowers from all parts of the world (just checked out their wall to wall refrigeration unit brimming with flowers organized by color) and sophisticated creative floral design creations that keeps bringing me back for every single occasion without fail. But best of all, the staff is very knowledgeable and super friendly and accommodating, many times going out of their way to help the flower newbie make the difficult decision of which floral arrangement to pick (or in my case, many time, they will customize a bouquet for you). There are simply too many delightful details about this shop I can rave on and on about, but just remember - the quality of the flowers you get from this shop cannot be beat. No wonder every trip to this place makes me Wild About Flowers, indeed!

I went in to get a few succulents for gifts and experienced very bad customer service. Both sales people were argumentative and very unhelpful when I asked for assistance. When I asked about one particular plant they were rude and didn't know anything. I won't be going back.

I came in this afternoon with a friend because we’ve been to this shop many times before and always received excellent, friendly service. This time was quite the opposite. The shop is now barricaded so it makes it quite hard to view the flower fridge, and when I leaned in slightly to see which flowers I wanted the woman working was rattled and told me she was just very uncomfortable. I understand the measures we must take during covid but this seemed excessive. She had room to move if she felt I was invading her space from 6 feet away. It really felt like we were a nuisance and not welcome. I bought 3 stems of ranunculus, 2 stems of very basic lilies and 2 stems of daisies (that never came back to life when I got home so I threw them in compost) and it came to $60. I have received kinder service for less money at my neighbourhood grocery stores. I always want to support local but the service today left a really bad taste in my mouth.

Bought some greens for a Christmas decoration from the display outside and got it home to find it reeked of urine. Brought it back the next day to get it exchanged and they would not help. They just said sorry for your luck maybe leave it outside.

If I could give zero stars and still write a review, I would. We had an absolutely terrible experience with Wild About Flowers. My husband had arranged 3 weeks prior to our 5th year anniversary (May 18th) for them to arrange a bouquet similar to our wedding flowers. Hours before my husband was to pick up and pay for the $80-$100 arrangement he was told that most of the flowers couldn’t be ordered and was shown an arrangement that looked nothing like he had requested. For a company that claims to know flowers so well they did a poor job of imitating what he had asked for. And if it couldn’t be done, why offer to do it in the first place!? If he had not asked for a picture hours before our dinner he would have went to pick it up and have be shown then. The staff did absolutely nothing to resolve the issue or show their empathy towards ruining a special event for my husband and I. The staff felt satisfied in that they had done all they could do by “offering to cancel the order” (again merely hours before the dinner we had attended to showcase them) or replace them with flowers that looked nothing like he had requested. If a bride requested a bouquet would you give her something completely different and wait to inform her hours before her wedding? I doubt it. My husband was so disappointed that his planning to make the day special was ruined, it put a damper on our evening and the staff didn’t seem to understand the magnitude of their mess up. My husband saw no point in asking to speak to the manager or owner because he knew it couldn’t be made the way he had asked. I felt otherwise and called and was basically told there was nothing they could do. I asked for the manager or owner to contact us and have yet to receive a call. I mean this when I say that I will NEVER buy anything from there again and have shared with many friends in the area my opinion on the business.

I have used Wild About Flowers since they opened in the Currie Barracks Farmers Market years ago. I love their shop in Marda Loop there is always a little something special to catch your eye! The staff are so friendly, the Dutch hand tied bouquets are my favorite. Whenever I stop in I always see unique flowers and they last and last.

Beautiful flowers but one of the girls working in the back in incredibly rude. I walked in excited to get fresh new flowers and a few dried for my new house but I walked out with only half of what I wanted, feeling like they didn't even want my business. I asked about a arrangement and she rudley grabs one part saying this is one part is worth $15 to give you an idea on the price. I would have bought the whole arrangement no matter the price.

I have been buying flowers there for years and have always been happy with the flowers and the service. I have to say however that the service today was far less than what I have come to expect from them. The friendliness was non-existent and they did not give me the impression that they wanted to be there. In this challenging time, I would think service is what will keep bringing people back, but based on my experience today, I might be looking for a new florist! I hope it was an aberration......

I ordered 25 roses for my daughters 25th birthday. I was driving in from Vancouver so chose Wild about flowers as it was close to where I needed to go. I showed up excited to pick up the bouquet to surprise my daughter and there the bouquet was! The roses were on their last legs (opened completely). I questioned why they were looking so “old and used” and was told “oh, that’s just the kind of roses they are”. I had no choice but to take them and pay $150!!! My daughter was happy to be surprised but was sad that her 25 roses for her special day will die within a day or two. I was disappointed with the look of the flowers, for being told “it’s the kind of roses “ (like I’m a fool!! Would not recommend this place to anyone and will be happy to share my story so no one else is as disappointed as I am!

My go to spot for all things floral. A delightful little shop that is so underrated! They have a lovely selection of unique creations for any occasion. Tiffany is always amazing, super knowledgeable with an absolute stunning eye for details and great customer service! Although part of the shop is blocked off right now due to covid, staff here do amazing to ensure every shopping trip is a good one. Definitely worth a visit if you haven't already!

I enjoyed the window displays of this store for years, and noticed great online reviews, so I chose Wild About Flowers to do the centre pieces for my wedding. I was very disappointed. I've have finally gotten around to writing this review over a year later, but thinking back the flowers are still the most disappointing thing from the entire day. The arrangements were to be dried lavender and wheat. They were not dried per our documented discussions but there wasn't enough time to do anything about it. I think they had an internal miscommunication and messed up what day the wedding actually was and not only had not dried them, but had them ready at least a day earlier than needed. The flowers were on the limp side when picked up, but I know nothing about flowers so thought maybe they'd perk up. I was wrong. Based on other reviews this does not seem to be a typical experience, but proceed with caution, and follow-up regularly to confirm you're actually getting what you wanted.

Yesterday on Feb.03 I came to buy flowers for my partner for our anniversary. I came to this place due to the good reviews on Google. In reality, the staff here appeared to be very unwelcoming and even rude. My festive mood was just ruined and I left this place with a very sad feeling.

I do not recommend to go to this place if you are looking for welcoming and helping stuff. Service does not work well at this place.
