Purchased an Orchid arrangement, and was going to compliment the shop on the arrangement that looked beautiful, however the Orchid died only after 7 days! For just under $100.00 I think it should have lasted much longer than that. It was a birthday arrangment for Mom. She recently bougt an orchid very similar and has been vibrant now for almost a month! Sorry but I cannot recommend this florist. Since my last google review, I was contacted by Jolene of the shop. She was very professional and courteous with me. Jolene got to the bottom of the issue and apologized. I will turn around on my original comment and recommend the Flower Shop highly. I needed to find a florist who would deliver the same day as it was our aunts birthday on a Sunday and I was all the way in Victoria. I chose Kensington Florist because they were open and were close to our aunts residence. I was so blessed to have found this florist as I received prompt service and they were very helpful. Ken from Kensington florist was not only very friendly and knowledgeable but actually took my order to a whole other level when he offered to hand deliver this special arrangement personally to my aunt. I know who I will be calling every year from now on for Aunt Sylvias annual bouquet. I would not give five stars, I would give six because of the above and beyond service. I needed them delivered within four hours and, to their credit, they were able to get the bouquet together and delivered on time. However, given what I paid, I was quite disappointed with the flowers themselves, both the quantity and variety. Expected something much nicer for $75.

Ordering was easy and the arrangement I chose a lot longer than I thought it would based on some other cut flowers I have ordered in the past from other florists. The only real issue is pickup and it may be temporary with so much parking taken up for temp Covid sidewalks. I only live a few miles away and didn’t want to pay 15$ for delivery but finding a spot close by took a few minutes.

They are always generous with their time and arrange the Fresh Flowers for me without exaggerating, according to my moods and feelings! They do this while chatting about flowers, life, and art. The shop's interior is designed in a forest aesthetic style, making it easier to navigate and look at the flowers, plants, and pots. Kensington Florist is a little gem in Kensington with very reasonable prices on offer. They can order for you whatever flowers you wish for if you notify them in advance.

I came here when I needed two last minute floral arrangements for a funeral for a close friend's grandmother a couple years ago. She loved blue flowers. I had requested blue and they let me know that unfortunately they didn't currently have anything in stock which was absolutely fine on such short notice. When we arrived to pick up the flowers the next day they had somehow managed to track down blue flowers and also tied a lovely blue ribbon on the vases. My friend and her family were moved to tears. It was exceptional service and such a caring gesture in a dark time, so it went a very long way. Ever since then I have made sure to always come here any time I need any kind of floral arrangement. I am never disappointed. Again today on short notice they prepared another stunning bouquet for a funeral I was attending. They are kind and thoughtful, and I'll never shop anywhere else. I was initially very unhappy with the arrangement that was delivered for me because it lacked the creativity and pizzazz that one would normally expect from a highly rated florist. The owner, however, was quick to rectify the situation. She was very kind and wonderful to talk to, and very empathetic regarding the occasion for which the flowers were for. Kensington Florist stands by the quality of their work (you see that less and less nowadays), and the delivery was prompt. That's excellent customer service right there. My first experience with Kensington Florist was amazing with the staff picking a very nice arrangement that lasted almost 2 weeks! With my most recent experience I ordered Valentine's flowers - they were very beautiful but the roses and a few other flowers started to bend and die within a couple days. So I send an email to the shop sharing my dissatisfaction and they gave me a handheld bouquet that was even nicer than the original bouquet at no charge! Great customer service.

But Hannah- the designer is very honest and friendly - said no with that flowers because she knows it is not fresh enough for her to sell. I've made a couple of visits to Kensington Florist in the last few weeks, and have been so pleasantly surprised at their wonderful selection of beautiful flower and plants options for purchase. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating to and for me, especially last time when I just walked in and wanted to purchase some cut flowers for $45 to bring to a friend's. They even put water in the plastic wrap AND placed the bouquet in a box for easy transportation. It was truly excellent service. I will continue to be a repeat customer!!

Where do I even begin.. Stumbled upon this shop while aimlessly walking around Kensington looking for decent coffee. With my sister's wedding coming up in a month and no florist booked except a ridiculously overpriced one in Banff, I decided to take a chance on Kensington Florist. Best decision I've ever made. Carissa stepped up immediately to help and was able to tell exactly what I needed, and understood that we were working from a small budget. I sent her a few pictures from Pinterest, gave her the colors and a price range. Now, usually for $150 you wouldn't get much for a large arrangement -not so here! We were able to work in seasonal elements of fall to keep costs down- Ilex berries, natural and red seeded eucalyptus, red hanging Amaranthus, antique hydrangea, striking red roses, along with faux fluffy peonies and sparkly gold accents that I had brought in. Now with any other florist this might look tacky, but Carissa worked her magic and I have never seen a more beautiful arrangement! WOW. I literally did a happy dance when she brought them out! More than a week later, this arrangement is still as vibrant as ever and sitting in the dining room - excellent quality. Not only that, but we had ordered bulk autumn foliage and berries to make garlands, which were prepped and sitting in flower food for us, ready to go the day before. I was given a little lesson on how to properly wrap garlands with pretty gold floral wire. They helped us move everything into the car and offered extra packing material free of charge. On top of that, having pulled an all-nighter making a wedding cake the night before, I had forgotten one very important detail - a cake topper! With pepper berries and roses, Carissa whipped up a STUNNING cake topper in a matter of minutes, even though she was clearly busy otherwise, and threw in accent red oak leaves for our cake table. Not only were we beyond happy with the arrangements, the bulk product, the topper and accents, the service is what will keep us coming back. I love being in that store because clearly they are passionate about what they do, and are happy to go the extra mile for the client even when they aren't making a huge profit. We also had a few good laughs. Carissa was my "botanist," quickly identifying every flower I had seen online and liked, and even wrote the species names out for me. Can't wait to see which classes they might offer, and perhaps spoil myself by foraging in their well stocked cooler once in awhile :) Fall is in full force. HUGE thank you for making this stressful day that much easier.. And cheerfully obliging to my many last minute requests. Do yourself a favor and make these guys your go-to! You won't regret it.

Wow. The ladies here gave me the best customer service I have had anywhere. It was last minute mothers day and I didn't have time to get down to the store before closing. I was looking for a specific style of vase, one girl took photos of a couple they had and emailed them to me!!!! I have had one of the worst customer service experiences of my life with this shop. I received an arrangement to my work ordered by my boyfriend, and it looked cheap and ugly. The arrangement looked nothing like the picture on-line that my boyfriend saw and ordered from as what I received was honestly more greens than flowers. When I called and spoke to Laura the owner I was told that they don't guarantee that the same flowers are used as the picture on-line and said the reason there were much less flowers was that they put in one expensive orchid. This orchid had not bloomed at all and was a thin stem of buds. I was so insulted by being told that every single thing I was saying was wrong. I never heard an apology and was told that they would come and pick up the arrangement right away and agreed to refund the money after I demanded it. However, my boyfriend still ended up paying a 15 dollar delivery charge for me to have a so-so bouquet for one day. Please do not support this shop, you will not be treated with respect and their product doesn't even come close to making up for it.

The ladies did up some wonderfully Christmassy poinsettia plants that were absolutely perfect. Gerbras, carnations, hyacinths & daisies seem unimpressive choices for that price point. Feb 13 update: the owner reached out to me & generously provided a replacement bouquet. We very much appreciate this act of good faith & this bouquet was more to my taste than the original.

Carissa and her team were able to provide exactly what I wanted for my wedding flowers. Apart from small arrangements and bouquets which I wanted to keep very simple, Carissa designed one large floral arrangement for me and it was more beautiful than I could have imagined. If I could give them no stars I would. I ordered flowers on December 21which didn’t arrive. I was billed on the 21st. They were delivered on December 28. No explanation from the company and WAY to late for them to be of any value.

Placed order Aug 1 for pickup Aug 7 so there’d be plenty of time to fill it. Ordered and paid $105 for a nice pink vase with a white bow and and a beautiful pink and white carnation arrangement for my wife’s birthday. Came in on the 7th and Dana took the order but neglected to fill it. Now the scramble was on. What I got was no pink vase with a white bow and a lovely arrangement. Instead I got some ugly clear glass vase with some weeds and some dried up flowers. Embarrassed as I gave it to my wife. Horrible service. Very disappointed. Avoid this place. It’s a gamble if you’ll end up happy or not.

Thank you to Jamie and staff for helping resolve my flower issue. The flower arrangement was for my wife on our 11 year anniversary. I sent an email to Kensington Florist explaining that I felt there was an issue with the arrangements quality. I wasn't really sure if I would get a reply. I was surprised how quickly my email was answered and once pictures were reviewed, how quickly Jamie offered fix the situation by replacing the arrangement. Amazing Service! I have ordered last minute Designers Choice birthday bouquet delivery recently for my friend from my all time favorite florist in Calgary - Kensington Florist. I had visited the store many times in the past for the pickups. They delivered on time the same day and the flowers were meticulously arranged. The staff is always generous and customer service is excellent as committed. The flowers were very gorgeous, fresh and lasted a very long time! Thank you for being efficient, creative and authentic. Highly Recommended!

I came to Kensington Flowers Shop on Sunday and had an excellent customer services experience . The guy is really friendly and nice. He answered all my questions. Also, the lady who designed my flowers is awesome too. She is super Fast, and made a beautiful flowers ( more than what I expected in my mind ) and gave me all the recommendations how to keep them last longer too. Thank you Kensington Flowers. Highly recommend to everyone.

I needed to order a last minute arrangement from another city for same day delivery. I am grateful that I was able to find this shop online :) The website was so user friendly, as well there was a large selection in price point and arrangements (including live plant arrangements) My recipient and I were thrilled with what was delivered. Thank you and I will be using their services again.

Just received my mother's day flowers- I am shocked at the poor quality for $90 ($85 + $5 tax- picked up, not delivered). We received 6 flowers that lasted less than 1 week, which was certainly not worth the price. For reference, I received flowers from 2 other florists in Kensington (Oasis and Kensington Wildflower) for Mother's day and they are much nicer (larger, nicer arrangements with comparable flower types) for the same or less cost (see photos). Also, after selecting a product and checking out with payment online there was a notification that we'd receive whatever they had available, not the product we selected- this should have been something that was clarified before we checked out. I do not recommend this company and will be supporting other local businesses in the future. ALSO NOTE- the below is just for publicity; they did not reply to 2 voicemails and an email inquiry. It also doesn't make sense to blame Covid for blatantly ripping someone off (especially when other florists in the area did a great job, as explained above)... DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!

Super expensive flowers, employees seems not bothered at all when I walked in. Didn’t greet me even though they weren’t doing anything. I asked a couple questions regarding the price and the type of roses they had and they were very rude. Quoted me $140 for a dozen roses! I left and went to the flower shop in China town. for the same Bouquet I paid a third of the prize that they quoted me here.

I live in New Brunswick and I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my best friend who lives in Calgary. The ladies at Kensington were so helpful to work with and they helped me organize a flower delivery for me to be able to ask my best friend to be my Maid of Honor. After the order was placed, I found out that my friend wasn’t going to be home the day of the delivery - the ladies were quick to be able to help accommodate another way to ensure she’d get her flowers. Amazing customer service from all the way across the country!!

I was told it would be designers choice and they did an amazing job, flowers were very fresh and beautiful. I wont be going anywhere else for flowers now and I highly recommend.

Horrible service. Tried calling numerous times today- was then put on hold and patiently waiting but at the 15 minute mark the phone disconnects. Went through this 4 times as the lady would answer saying pls hold and I couldn’t get in a word. Finally I got through and she did not want to take my order as courier had reached cutoff. My request was for delivery just down the block from them. If I lived in the city, I would have delivered it myself however I was calling from another province. I run a business myself and am well aware customers enable a business to thrive. Whether the customer is on the phone or in your store they should be offered service. To have to wait patiently for an hour on hold, no wonder I missed the courier deadline.

I visited Kensington Florist this Sunday with my daughter and her friend and had a wonderful experience. Customer service is excellent, and the flower selection is beautiful! The staff was so friendly and helpful, making our bouquets extra gorgeous. Quite possibly the best plant store I have ever been to, such AMAZING customer service and a lovely selection of plants at reasonable prices, which is especially hard to find in Calgary. I stopped in to purchase a bouquet for my house. I just wanted something bright and happy. The store was closing when I arrived at 7:30 pm, Melissa there was very helpful. and she suggested Dutch Tulips that I really liked. the red roses looked gorgeous and enticing to have it at my house but I chose tulips instead. When I purchased the flowers she went through the proper care and wrapped them up nicely for me. Very impressed with the quality :) I'd say I had a really nice experience, I like the spirit at this store and the quality of the flowers. I would be happy to come back.

6 out of 5 stars for this place. They have been my go-to for Mother's Day flowers for the past couple of years, and will be for many more. The staff was very friendly, helpful and warm. They've helped me with the arrangement each time, as I am lost when it comes to things like flowers. My mother has made comments each year to me about how beautiful these flowers are, and how much effort was put into the arrangement. in past years, my other brothers got her flowers too, but she has low key told me mine were the best. As much as i would like to take credit for that, I obviously had the best help I could get. this year, my siblings just asked that I order on behalf of all of us because how well the arrangements are put together. If you know what you want, and require a friendly reliable business to get it done - these are the people for you. If you are like me, and have no clue when it comes to flowers - while I got good news for you friend, these people are even more so your one stop shop. Simply give them a call, place an order, and flowers arrive. Show someone you care about how much they mean to you, and call these people to help you do it. They have never let me down!

Terrible service and product. I emailed in before I even placed an order to see if what I wanted was possible and was told it was. I placed the order and received something entirely different. It took two emails and 5 days later before anyone bothered to contact me about my order. The lady told me what I ordered was wrong. I was at no time contacted to say the first individual that told me what I wanted could be done was wrong and that they lied when they said they had all the supplies needed to make my order. I was also told that the glass containers they came in were expensive at $35 each.. yes from walmart you can buy them from walmart for that for from their direct website where they are $12 each. I ended up getting my money back, however my guest left without their birthday present and I received no apology for any of this.

I am not experienced in purchasing arrangements, as it's easy to just stop at the grocery store for a flowered variety at the ready, but I am so glad I went out of my way to visit this florist today. I had no idea really what I was looking for, or if it would be possible to arrange something within the half hour I had, but right away I was given such great help and knew that my vases would be arranged to suit my needs. So so beautiful! And there was also the perfect card just sitting there, waiting for me to pickup. It felt like I was supposed to be there today and I left a very happy first time customer. Thank you so much!
