Second, her work product is outstanding. Janie was the creative genius behind the Chuppah (Jewish wedding canopy) at my wedding this past week. She built the structure from the ground up and customized it to work in the space (with some difficult dimensions). It looked stunning, completely breath taking. It took several hours to construct, and the entire time her team was upbeat, excited and we could all feel the creativity. I felt it was made with care and love - exactly what a Bride could ever want. Janie also did the bouquets, which were beautiful, thoughtful, and really reflecting the energy that we had extended with the Chuppah. Finally, Janie is beyond creative and a master of her craft. I'm not great at expressing exactly what I want but always have the perfect vision of it and Janie was able to make that vision happen! She was very flexible with delivery and set-up plans and even some last minute ribbon changes - though I doubt she'd like me advocating for that :) I am also very impressed with the longevity of her flowers, all my pew flowers are still alive (3 and a half weeks later) and the roses still look great, even after having very little water while I was away on my honeymoon. 2 weeks before our wedding our original person doing our wedding flowers decided they couldn't. I frantically reached out to any floral vendors in hope someone could help! I specifically reached out to Janie as she did the flowers in my best friends wedding in 2018 and they were absolutely beautiful. Creative Artist!! I gave Janie the most minimal direction ever (which some wedding vendors aren't too happy about) and she barely seemed stressed. She agreed to come up with a vision, shared a very detailed package with me reflecting what she planned to do, and delivered exactly what she promised to deliver. The flowers were for a micro wedding so not many were ordered, but she absolutely nailed the vision with little to no direction. Extremely impressed with her work!! The only thing I'd say that could be added in someday is more local flower options, although she did explain to me that my wedding was not during peak local flower season so those were hard to come by :) No complaints at all, I would hire her again in a heartbeat.

Not only did she accommodate my date which was NYE 2019 when she was already busy with other weddings but the quality and beauty of her arrangements was to amazing for words. She listened and referred us to an exceptional vendor weeks before our wedding (Christy at Beyond the Proposal) when our lives got a little more difficult. Called this company to inquire about them doing my wedding flowers ( over a year ago), they said they had a minimum spend , I said I was willing to match their minimum spend. The lady I spoke with was very short and in the end said they would not take us as a client let alone meet with us. Keep in mind, I was a first time wedding planner and had no idea what flowers cost. She was not even willing to meet to give me and idea of what my flowers would cost. I ended up going with a different company and could not have been happier, with the flowers being the main decoration at my wedding at the lake house, spending alot with a company willing to educate and help me through the flower planning. I would suggest to this company to be willing to meet with clients who are willing to match the minimum spend. Not just brush them off because they are not your largest client. Plus some advice, not every one knows how much flowers will cost when they are first inquiring. Please be kinder, as you made me feel like garbage during the suppose to be happiest time of my life.

During our in-person consultation meeting, we discussed our vision and Janie provided advice/information on flower and greenery varieties and styles of arrangements.The florals and greenery for our wedding was beyond perfection just like we imagined it to be. I cannot rave enough about Janie and her team! Flowers by Janie did the florals for our wedding this past August, and every step of the process was seamless and wonderful. Specifically, three aspects of the experience are noteworthy. First, Janie's communication was unparalleled. My husband and I were living outside of Alberta while we were planning our wedding. We were able to meet with Janie once in person, and the remainder of our correspondence was via email. Janie was prompt and responsive over email, addressing all of our questions without delay. Second, the delivery and set up day-of was amazing. It was pouring rain on our wedding day, and Janie was on time and had everything beautifully arranged despite the inclement weather. Third, and most important, Janie has an amazing eye for unique and exceptional arrangements. We wanted to create a romantic atmosphere, and Janie found a way to compliment our colour scheme with soft blush, champagne, and ivory florals, in the most lovely composition. Our June 2019 wedding was absolutely gorgeous, thanks in large part to Flowers by Janie! It was a stress-free process to select the flowers, as Janie really knows what she is talking about. She made me feel completely at ease when we met to discuss what we had envisioned for our wedding, and even though I had no clue as far as flowers were concerned she had all the right questions. The end product was beyond what we had imagined. Our arrangements were GORGEOUS, from the bouquets to the gazebo to the reception. I didn't have to worry about a thing, the entire process was so smooth. It is obvious that Janie is creative and truly loves what she does. I highly recommend her services!!

When I first got engaged, I started following different "wedding" accounts on Instagram. Which is where I found Flowers by Janie - and I was obsessed as soon as I saw her work. She creates absolutely WONDERFUL creations and takes whatever ideas you have about your flowers/wedding and makes them happen. We didn't have a colour theme or really any idea of what flowers we wanted; but Janie brought my ideas out of my own head and into the wedding. Her flowers became our colour theme and really were the main decorations for our wedding. Her flowers are really works of art. She created my bouquet from just me saying "I want something big and loud" and she was big and loud! Our centre pieces were deconstructed and she laid every single flower down on each table, clipping them and making sure each pedal what perfect. We did the fire place mantel and HOLY SMOKES was it the most beautiful thing I have ever seen! Part of me didn't want to write this review, because I would have to admit that my wedding is over. However, the flowers at my wedding (which was 30 days ago) are still sitting on my counter; dried, but looking AMAZING. If you aren't sure about who to use for your floral needs, I would 1000% recommend Janie and her team. They are masters at what they do. Thank you again Janie for making our wedding day the most amazing day I have ever experienced.
