I was looking forward to having Elysion provide the flowers for my wedding, Colleen was always pleasant to deal with via email and had lovely ideas to enhance my vision. Sadly it did not work out.
I initially paid our deposit for a quote in January 2018 for our July 1 wedding. At that time via phone conversation I was advised they would like to get it done prior to Valentines day but could not guarantee it, totally understandable. March 6 I emailed to check in, no response. I emailed again March 27, at which point I was told they were working on June weddings but we were at the "top of the list" for July and they would touch base in a few weeks. I emailed again April 29 as I had not heard back and informed them we had other quotes and had to choose a vendor soon. I received a response May 8. At this point I was told as it was Mothers day, they would not be working on quotes again until "next week" and was offered a refund on our deposit. I declined as I was willing to look past the tardiness, being the only florist in Jasper it was convenient to have someone who could go onsite and I fully expected to receive our quote within 1-2 weeks. Forward to May 16/17, we work out some logistics and Colleen states she will be working on our quote "now that I've had a chance to catch my breath".
I email again June 1 as I STILL had not received anything, FINALLY we get our quote June 4, less than 1 month before our wedding!
Upon expressing these frustrations to Colleen and suggesting a possible refund for our quote, there was never an apology but simply 'thanks for the feedback!" and the deposit is non-refundable.
Perhaps this is not the norm and other customers/brides have had a better experience dealing with Elysion but if they cannot deliver what is PAID for in a timely manner then at the very least stop giving excuses and be honest about the expected wait time. 5 months is not a reasonable time to wait.
Luckily I was able to find a different vendor last minute who was able to work with our short time line and budget. Unfortunately I will not be recommending Elysion to anyone, including friends marrying in Jasper next year.
