I highly recommend going that route if you aren't super particular and just want something classic. Travis at Calyx was recommended to us for our wedding florals by the manager of our chosen venue. Since that moment, everything regarding our flowers went seamlessly. Meeting with Travis and viewing the tools/technology she uses to explain the florals and colours made the process of choosing our floral pieces fun and easy. It was evident that she knows a lot about high-quality flowers and how to arrange them beautifully. She was always polite and professional to communicate with both in person and via email. The prices of each floral piece were laid out clearly in our quote - which included descriptive details and images of each piece we were paying for. I believe the florals were priced fairly due to their quality. When The Big Day arrived, the floral pieces were exactly what we were hoping they would be - stunning, romantic, healthy and lush. They made every part of our wedding beautiful. Many guests commented on their beauty, with some needing to feel them to believe they were actually real and with a few guests taking them home to keep their beauty alive as long as possible. I would high recommend Calyx! Our spa has a bi-weekly floral subscription and every single arrangement is unique and beautiful. The flowers last weeks! Very good quality! The staff is very knowledgeable on plant care and health, we have also purchased some larger potted plants that are absolutely stunning!

I'd love to give them 5 stars as truly they have an amazing eye for detail and gorgeous flowers & plants. However I was quite disapointed in a houseplant I bought awhile ago at their bower mall location. It was a huge gorgeous palm plant and nearly cost $200 which is a fair amount of money for me to normally spend on plants. But I wanted to put it in a central location in my living room and thought it was worth it. It left with me and looked great.... at first. Within a week I noted the palm trunk (which branched into 3 large trunks) was starting to all lean one direction and within another it was leaning drastically therefore making the palm branches all to one side and looking very funny. It didn't make sense to me as nothing had been damaged, and it was leaning away from the light. I called Calyx and spoke with someone who suggested tying it to help it lean the correct way. I did as suggested and unfortunately the branch withered and died fairly quickly. I have over 25 houseplants and am not a beginner and took great care to save this plant! Therefore I reached out to them hoping for a future discount or replacement. I was told basically that they couldn't help me as it could have been damaged in shipping and they don't personally grow them. This may be true but when a customer spends hundreds of dollars for a plant that only lasts a week or so despite good care it is nice to be given the benefit of the doubt and be helped out. If nothing else I had at least hoped for a discount to eventually replace my palm. So in short, despite their gorgeous plants I personally would hesitate to spend again at this location.

I didn’t know anything about flowers or what I wanted for my wedding but after sitting down and talking with Travis she was able to create my dream wedding florals. She didn’t hesitate to meet with me a second time when I asked her to adjust the style of the flowers from a spring wedding to a fall wedding. You can tell she is extremely knowledgeable and puts her heart into her work. She built me the most stunning bridal and bridesmaids bouquets as well as draped the arch at the ceremony exactly like I had envisioned. She also made my arch flowers multi purpose to be able to be moved to the head table to save money. The flowers were beautiful, great quality, and at a great price. Calyx floral design did the florals for our wedding and they stood out to me the moment I came across their website. They are incredibly easy to work with and east to contact. My favorite part about their service was the consult process, where I was able to come with a pintrest board of things I liked and we sorted through them and made them into my own so they were the perfect fit for our wedding. The drop off and set up at our wedding venue was very easy and stress free! Travis is a genius. I went in with no idea what I wanted other than colours and a general vibe I was going for. It's like she reached into my brain and picked out exactly what I wanted even though I didn't know it myself. I ordered 3 different kind of flower arrangements/ plants for a friend online on very short notice for a next day delivery as a surprise. Not only have they been able to fulfill that request, they also sent an excellent product. Since I do not live in the same city, I have to say that their online shop is very easy to maneuver through and offers lots of choices. Unfortunately I could not see the final product but have been told by my friend that this is one of the best bouquets she has ever seen and the presentation is exquisite. I'm very glad that I chose this company and will recommend them to everyone I know.

During my consultation and previous email communication with Travis, I felt like she took genuine consideration for what I was envisioning my wedding day to look like and wanted to make that happen. She gave great advice as well as suggestions, and made me feel very confident in what I would be getting. I absolutely LOVED my flowers, they were stunning! The archway was incredible, bouquets & boutonnière’s beautiful and my centrepieces, perfect…our wedding guests thought so too. Travis and Calyx Floral Design did such an amazing job for my wedding flowers. I was not getting married in my home city, so I had to do research in a lesser known area to find a florist. Living outside of Red Deer, Travis was accommodating by having a video chat with us on a Saturday afternoon. She asked about my preferences (which I understood my favourite flower was well out of season) and she found comparable flowers that would be just as beautiful. She sent the proposal right away and stayed in touch and was flexible with our changes and ideas. I had full trust in Travis and my bouquet ended up being perfect. The colour palate and size was exactly what I wanted even though I couldn't physically see anything before the wedding. My flowers were also packed perfectly for the drive to the venue so this was considered by the team, which was appreciated.
