The Walmart of Remote communities. How can one store have it all. I don't know but they do. from gifts, to auto, groceries to art. everything, and frankly for it's location its well priced. go there.

A decent place to stop and grab a drink, snack, use the washroom, buy some souvenirs, fill up your fuel tank, etc. Some food products do not sell quickly. Check the expiry dates on everything you want to eat or drink.

after some weeks on the Yukon you are graving after some different things - especially the things you will not take to attract the bears :) as many others said.. for the location, for the exclusivity the prices were very moderate and fair. after all the days in loneliness, it is nice to hear and see a nice face. so, you just need to go there.

I did not expect to find such a great grocery store between Whitehorse and Dawson, especially since Carmacks is a rather small village. But the store has lots of choices and the prices are definitly not higher than in Whitehorse - I would say it's even cheaper. I likead the great variety of fresh food. If I had known this before, I would have bought less food in Whitehorse for our canoe trip to Dawson. This is definitly a good place to build up your stocks on such a trip.

Truly, my favorite store in entire Yukon. Manager Lee Bodie and his staff have created a delightful general store shopping experience and provide excellent service. Diesel, Regular gas and Premium gas at the pumps. Hotel and RV park behind store. Restaurant to its left.
