Had a lunch at this place in our Yukon trip. Visited the museum and Goat centre.

James Farris

Outstanding tour to the Yukon! Guide was incredible! From her comment about needing to use the "Facilitrees" to our bear encounter (a bear ran into our bus - let me be clear, we did not hit the bear, it hit us), to her moose face. She provided history and humor in nearly equal parts. I have got to look up her name and the company to add to this posting but for now, if you see her, remind her of the bear encounter.

Jamin DeMattos

Amazing food, good donuts, husky rides, and a big taxidermy museum. They also sell skins if you're into that sort of thing. …

Gib Bradbury

I had a great time.would love to go back

Ken Ellmaker

An enjoyable bbq lunch, staff and petting zoo. The dogs were fun on the ride and there were puppies!

Excellent stop on our excursion in Skagway. I have dietary restrictions and they'd run out of the vegetarian option for lunch which also covers gluten free and dairy free. The staff went out of their way to bring me a wonderful meal that may have even come from a personal kitchen. They really went above and beyond. I only wish I'd been able to spend a bit more time here.

Neat place in the middle of nowhere.

Lunch during a cruise excursion. Fun spot to see sled dogs and pet some puppies

Open in the summer,Carbon Crossing attracts tourists and locals alike. Located 45 minutes from Whitehorse or about an hour and 30 minutes from Skyway Alaska you will see tourists from both sides of the border. There is a gift shop with Yukon items including clothing and toys. A full restaurant which primarily services bus tours and a cafe which serves sandwiches or snacks like ice cream. The real attraction though is the live animals. You can pet horses, llamas, goats, and cute husky puppies. If you're up for seeing how huskies love to run you can book a mini sled pull where they have a team pull a side by side converted for guests. If you are looking to get close to larger and more dangerous animals you can do that too. There is an exhibit with bears and various wild cats that are showcased. Finally if animals aren't your thing, try your hand ar gold panning where you could catch some real gold with a steady hand, a good eye, and some patience!

Jay Braymer

This is such a cool place. I'm so glad our excursion included a stop at Caribou Crossing. The dogs were incredible. Their energy as they wait anxiously to take their next group out on the sled was amazing.

Shekinah Govero

Nice stop on our drive out of Skagway 7 tours buses from the cruises in own :/ Our 2yr old loved all the stuffed animals in the exhibit so it was worth the money for us he also loves the loud sled dogs so that was worth it as well Good coffee and overall nice place

Adi Treasurywala

The taxidermy museum is super! The lunch was "rudimentary" but wholesome. The dogs were a bit of a disappointment.

Nghi Doan

Very nice museum and stop over to pet and feed the horses, donkeys and Huskies puppies

Jonatan Almanza V.

Good place to enjoy with the family, if you are coming on a tour with the ship, be aware that is a 2 hours drive from Skagway and you will need your passport die to borders crossing. They offer a meal with the tour, that if you do not like, you can buy your own. Activities for the whole family to do and dogsled available in several timings. Book your ticket as soon as you arrive due to the high demand of it. 15 minutes ride and dogs love to take the guests around.

Laura L Jordan

Small and cute. I didn't pay to see the dogs.

Guillermo Suarez

Amanda Arloro

Craig Euler

Amazing taxidermy exhibit and small zoo

Prescott Hope

What a fun little place.

Rob Bolton

Not a bad stop on your way to the Yukon. Stopped there first week of July, it was hot and a light of the animal attractions were closed due to the heat. If it had been cooler it would have been much better. They could use a larger dining selection, they only had 3 premade wraps when we were there (4 of us) 2 were veggie wraps.

Miltra Antony

This place is a must visit one for summer and even in winter just good for a long ride....views...

john whitlaw

What a joke paid for the white pass train train ride instead got 6 hours on a bus total rip off

Tom Ahasic

Dog sled rides and husky puppies. The chicken dinner was just ok.

Jim Perry

Not big but what is there is pretty cool. The food was great.

Manan Doshi

Really cool little stop you should definitely hit up when touring around the area. There's a museum, a petting zoo, gold nugget sifting (like in "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs"), husky rides, UNLIMITED doughnuts, decent beer, and good coffee and ice cream. Bathrooms are somewhat terrifying but hey still better than the out houses at most of the stops along the way ???? but my advice would be to drink more than you eat on these long tours. The husky rides are great, and just to clear a misconception I heard from someone while I was there, the doggos only whine when they want to go for a run and don't get to, it's not because they don't want to do it - they actually really enjoy the exercise. So grab a ride and don't feel bad! On a random note, I'm about 80% sure the two mountain goats on the nearby cliff are fake, because they never moved a muscle at any point.

Éric LU

As privite one ,the museum is way bigger as i thought of

Maria Guadalupe Guzman

(Translated) Horrible food, scarce, expensive and terrible attention from the staff. The museum and gift shop are fine. (Original) Horrible la comida, escasa, cara y pésima atención del personal. El Museo y la tienda de regalos están bien.

Cute place to visit. They have a dog sled camp where you can ride a short distance with the dogs pulling you on a wheeled cart. You can see the puppies as well. Small animal petting zoo with goats and alpacas. Gift shop. We ate lunch in a covered wagon outside.

Stopped in here heading back out of the Yukon and really enjoyed the visit. A lot of interesting background on the RCMP and the taxidermy collection was very well documented and displayed. We didn't do the sled dog bit but it looked fun. …

Ketan Kala

It's a great place to see some Caribous and Dall sheep's in the City of Carcross (formerly Caribou Crossing). The place was deserted after 4pm as most visitors from Skagway visit there between 9 and 4. The place is well defined and possesses he true Alaskan Heritage. They also have a nice Ice cream shop including traditional Alaskan jewelry, artifacts and other traditional items. We enjoyed our time there.

Ryan P

Lots of nice metal carved items. Big selection.

Daniel H.

Barbara Nobles (Motherreb)

Tom Violette

Fun place to stop for a break on the drive to/from Skagway.

Patricia Cosby

Ahh Caribou I loved you the other two times I have visited but this time it was very lackluster. We got there as soon as the place opened and after paying the fee to visit the taxidermy area and the live animals it just wasn't as good as I remembered. They only had a few sled dog puppies but they really weren't puppies, more rambunctious teenagers. Everyone seemed so busy getting the place ready to open, even though it was past the posted opening time, that we really weren't greeted in a warm fashion by anyone as they were taking animals out of the barn and setting up for the day. We weren't even asked nor given the option to buy food to feed to the animals and the trays were you would normally by the food were empty. I just think that they should be ready to go with the posted opening time. Then we went in to get a cinnamon roll at the bakery and they weren't done yet. She said she still had to make the icing so we bought an average donut and we were on our way. The drive-up from Skagway is beautiful though

Dave Huttema

Very cool place to visit

Carole Mitchell

We only dealt with the pups and they seemed in great condition. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

a great trip must do if ever in Skagway Ak. a beautiful trip over the mountains.we saw bear, moose, and some of the prettiest water on the planet. We took a tour guide bus heard some h istory about the area, the lady bus driver had sharp eyes for the wild animals.

Amy Grace

Beautiful taxidermy. Am told one gentleman who ran a gas station did the work. Not a high end facility, but the animals are perfect specimens.

Huron Chu

Awesome, patient staff that let us interact with the husky puppies! We had so much fun!

Nan Lickteig

Great place

Kane Yee

Buy from there. Half the price compare to carcross!

Katrina S

Stopped here on an excursion. Favourite part was visiting the husky puppies and pomskis. Would not pay the exorbitant fee to go "dog sledding" for 15 minutes. The provided lunch was quasi-edible.

Brantley McManus

Food was good got to watch dogsleding

Tiffani Odell

Great place!

Anne Dunham

Cool place to visit!

swathi ravi

Neat little place to stop. Our tour guide stopped here for lunch- Baked potatoes, dhal and rice. Kids went on a sled ride and got to pet the puppies.

jean norenberg

Great area. So much too see here. Must see location!

coleman47

This place is just ok. It's a very long 2 hour ride from Skagway, and while the scenery was spectacular in places, the 2 hour ride back seems endless. If you go, be sure you buy the add on package where you get to interact with the dogs and ride on a vehicle pulled by the dogs. We were the only ones on our trip to do this (didn't even know we had!). For the rest of the group it was like an uninspiring trip to a petting zoo. The young staff who take care of the dogs were very friendly and freely answered all our questions. I didn't get why everyone who pays to go here doesn't get the close-up experience? The dogs love the interaction and it was the most enjoyable part of the day.

laura holland

Felt this was a HUGE tourist trap. The dogs for the dog sled ride seemed mis-treated. Couldn't wait to leave!!!

Hannah Medford

Fun fun fun

Dean Humphrey

Great. Friendly. Lots to see.

ArunMani Palaniyandi

Good restaurant in remote area. Museum is worth visiting.

Oz F (Oz7)

Excellent food, great place. BTW the goats are fake.

R W

Handy little place to visit just inside the Yukon border. Nice attractions for young and old alike. Kinda neat to eat while sitting in the old chuck wagons. The sled dogs and other animals appeared very sociable.

Matthew McAlister

Great place to visit. Unfortunately just not enough time when we visited with a tour group.

CK Moss

Wonderful place! They had a good lunch and interesting place to see

Iberto Hernandez

It's not a bad place but not great either. Too long of a drive, food is mediocre. They have petting zoo with like 10 animals. The taxidermy museum is good but nothing that you have not seen if you have been in a Natural History Museum like the Smithsonian. The staff is helpful and nice. We didn't ride the sleds because what I saw was a extralong four wheeler pulled by the dogs. Not impressed at all. Just the scenery in the way there and back.

Lynn McGhee

The dog sled was great. Staff was very caring to the dogs.

John Weiss

Barbecue with our tour was not worth it

Abby Whipple

Awesome experience! Great for kids, got to cuddle husky puppies. Dog sled ride was really fun, and the food was pretty good.

Balakrishnan S

The Huskies are amazing, and the pups are adorable and friendly as well.

Terrie

This was a nice stop after our train and bus ride. I loved seeing the puppies! So cute! There were other animals as well. Lunch was good. The gift shop was large and had a great variety.

Aaron Brousseau

Friendly staff great coffee and donuts! Best pizza I’ve ever had!! The herbed crust is Delicious! Pictured is the Veggie pizza with red peppers instead of green with added banana peppers ! Wow would highly recommend!

Bert Chestnut
