The owner and staff are so nice. Every time I’m in Yellowknife I make a point of stopping by Ja-Pain. The Japanese honey toast with ice cream on top is amazing. Lots of different baking that all looks really good.

(Translated) Founded in 2018, Yellowknife's only additive-free gourmet bakery. The specialty melon bread is a sweet bread originating in Japan. There are three types, strawberry, chocolate and matcha. The outside is crisp and fragrant, and the inside is sticky and fluffy. There are four types of crispy curry bread: beef, chicken, vegetable, and spicy chicken. Custard and marron cream bread are also delicious. There are also croissants and quinnie aman. Next time, I would like to try a super thick toast with honey and ice cream. From Tuesday to Saturday, there is a 15% discount daily bread. New to area. 1st impression, Ahhhmazing and so friendly. Very tasty, the cheese bun is my favorite! It's not pictured as it was gone so fast lol Everything we tried was on point. Definitely will be going back.
