A pleasure to finally have a chance to go in and enjoy the ambiance of this establishment. Love the entire feel of this place and the staff is very friendly and helpful as well. Great job in customer service. As far as the food goes, the fish itself was cooked perfect, however the breading was not staying on the fish when cutting it to eat a piece. Something is lacking in the binding to the batter process. Maybe the fish was not completely dry or thawed completely. The fries were tasty for a non fresh fry. I would definitely go back but will try other dishes instead of the fish. Overall, I recommend a visit to Anchored Grounds.

We stopped here on the way to Ellenwood. The food was delicious. We got the pizza and the fish and chips. Everything came hot and exactly as ordered. Hope we are down that way again and can stop in.

What a diamond in the rough. It is beautifully decorated, clean and incredibly friendly staff and owners. The fish and chips were a completely unexpected delight and probably the best I've ever had. The coffee was very fresh and amazingly friendly atmosphere

A good experience on a rainy evening. Excellent food, two of our group had a small haddock which was two nicely coated pieces of fish and fries, one had a huge portion of chicken parm and the fourth Hadassah pizza, all delicious.

Delicious food, the friendliest staff, a lovely atmosphere. We had oysters (delicious!), steak, and halibut with lobster cream sauce and baked potatoes. Dessert was a vanilla bean creme brûlée which was the perfect finish! So amazing, will definitely be back!

It has potential. Like the crispy fries. Wife did not like the lobster salad roll too much garlic. Main entrees look a little pricey for the location. Should be open for breakfast but I know there's a worker shortage.

Great food most of the time, but with a rude cashier and sky rocketing prices I'm unlikely to return.

First time we stopped for a family brunch, we ordered a 12" Hawaiian pizza, chicken sandwich and a bowl of seafood chowder. They couldn't make the fresh pizza because they ran out of cheese and offered the pizza by the slice and promised it was just as fresh. Once our food arrived, the pizza looked reheated and was soggy. The seafood chowder had no cream ( very watery). The sandwich had shredded cheese in it (which I though they ran out of). The waiters never came to check on us to see if we were enjoying our meal. So I decided to return my chowder and tell them as politely as I can because I have over 10 years of experience in the food industry and know that sometimes people can be very harsh on criticizing food. It's TRUE not everyone is going to like the food, but I felt responsible to explain why I didnt like it to the owner. The waiter took my complaint really well and spoke to the manager, the manager then came out and questioned if I have ever had seafood chowder before? and refused to give my money back for just the chowder because I didnt like it. This place has great potential and it's beautiful when walking in but don't be fooled, the food could definitely be better.

John and I went for supper, he had the special half & half ( haddock & clams) with fries and I had the shrimp & fries and it came with coleslaw ...The portion and service was perfect and it was absolutely delicious ????

Google says this place is open 3:30-9:30 (and that the times were updated less than 2 weeks ago). So does the sign on their door. However, it should say "3:30 - whenever we want". We heard great things and wanted to try it on the way back to our B&B, from Peggy's cove. We got there at about 8pm and they said they were closing in 5 minutes. So I guess schedules don't mean anything. We went about 40 minutes out of the way to eat here before going home; passing loads of stores and restaurants that were too far out of the way or closed by the time we left. So no food for us tonight I guess, and a waste of 1/4 tank of gas.

This was our first time here...we were just driving through and decided to stop for lunch...I had one of the best steak sandwiches here...The staff are amazing and very accommodating....Grabbed a couple lattes for the road which were also great... I highly recommend stopping here if you are in the area.

Very nice atmosphere the new restaurant is very well thought out . The service was quick and spot on . The fish is as good as any in the area if not better . Chicken burgers ,onion rings cooked perfectly .Great selection of drinks cold and hot . Try the coffee mocka shake! Fine details will pay off .. real straws ,chilled mugs . Great addition to the area .

On our way by it looks like a nice new place. We had breakfast there. It is a place that we could visit often. Oops, I do not know why they can take food straight from the fridge and put it on our plates. Like the hashbrowns looked nicely presented but they were cold as in just taken from a fridge for my plate. Nobody came over to ask if the food is good, they just sat and talked to each other. Shame on a new place that may be gone before it takes off.
