Big selection of rods, reals and tackle. Big shop in the middle of nowhere. Staff is knowledgeable. Not a good place for accessibility or social distancing if the place is busy, narrow aisles! Easy to get lost in there, and difficult to find stuff because it is so packed (but just ask, they will happily to tell you). Large discount section just before the main door. Maybe you will find a deal! They do offer winding line on your real from bulk spools, but they won't do it if they are busy, so it may be better to call in advance and find out when is the best time to go and have it done.

100% worth the drive to Woodstock. Better electronic ( fish finders/GPS) prices than Bass pro or Cabela's. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and share a deep love for fishing. This store is incredible!!! They carry everything, and the store personelle are all avid fishermen. Beats SAIL or BPS any day simply for the advice they can give. Wicked clearance section, and the main store has so many lures, baits, tackle options, plastics, flies and electronics you won't even know where to start. They carry the more obscure options as well,and they have hands down the best terminal tackle selection I've seen in a long time! Picked up an incredible soft tackle system from the clearance area!

Amazing selection, very knowledgeable employees and just downright friendly. Just went in to buy my first baitcaster rod. I was greeted by the owner Jos and was instantly intrigued. He spent a good half hour educating me on the pluses and minuses of each rod, showing me all of his rods and what he uses each of them for and even which lures, spoons etc I should be using for the fish I was targeting. He then told me to come back next week with my new reel so we could spool it up and he would give me some free bait caster lessons with it. Its so nice to shop somewhere that the staff arent just trying to sell you something, but instead truly want to pass on their knowledge and their love of fishing to you. Excellent experience overall!

These guys are serious! The real deal! Went in to plan on spending 300 bucks and walked out only spending 125. Reason is the stuff I was wanting to buy wouldn't have worked for my application. Joslin explains everything to you and does not let you spend unnecessary money for nothing. This is true customer service. Fishing and electronics, these guys can't be beat! Not only will they sell you a fish finder, they will set it up properly and then teach you how to use it. Bass Pro, Radioworld or any other place has nothing on these guys. I've been to this store a couple times. I purchased a new spin rod here, later to find out I got ripped off on the price by $20. Terrible service by an older shorter gentlemen, who was very unprofessional and rude talking to customers on the phone and in person. The store is a cluster and i will not return. I would have to say this is easily the friendliest most knowledgeable fishing store in Ontario. Jos and his crew are always quite comical and you can tell that they have a love for the sport of fishing. Everyone that walks into the store is bound to learn lots and get a few good laughs along the way. Although I have only been into this store a few times, I have never been let down nor have I seen anyone leave with anything but a smile on their face. I may have only been a few times but believe me, I was there for a few hours each visit. Jos and other employee's that work at Angling Outfitters are more than willing to share most techniques that they have come across in there combined years of experience. Don't be afraid to ask because of all the sarcasm in the air, you will hear about it if you don't know something.. But, they WILL always teach you what you need to know in the end and they make sure you get the information they are trying to relay before you leave. I have spent my time in a ton of fishing stores and probably spent far too much money learning far too little.. I feel as if I would have spent all of my time and hard earned money at this store instead of the rest, I would have been a pro by now, getting paid to fish. (We can all dream) But seriously, a much better investment. Bottom line is..It is not a hassle, you are not a bother, they simply want to see people get into the sport of fishing and take it upon themselves to show you the ropes. If you live within an hour of this fishing shop, this should be your go to store, it'll be worth your while.

Awesome place for fishing gear. Called them if they had an quantum accurist reel size 25 and they did drove 35min but it was well worth it, they brought it out for me to look at didn't expect them to tell me hold it and try it out see if I like it. Didn't have the handle on while I held it and looked at it. He told me to put it on so I did ,I started taking the plastic cover off so I can screw the handle on the right side, when he noticed I was putting it on the right side, the look he had on his face was priceless, but find out I'm a weird guy haha. I'm right handed but reel with my right hand and hook with my left, but I kick with my left foot. I found this out 3 weeks ago and ever since that I noticed ever person fishing using there left hand to reel lol. Experience was great even with covid 19 around.

I purchased a baitcating rod and reel late Saturday for a trip north leaving Monday 6 am. Spooled the reel with braid and was testing the drag and the rod broke. I went to facebook site on Sunday and messaged what had happenned and knowing they were closed said I would not be able to return it until following week. To my surprise I recieved a message back in a couple hours saying that if I wanted he would meet me there on Sunday evening and replace it for my trip. Met Rob (i think) at 8 pm Sunday night handed me a new rod and said be safe and enjoy your trip. The store is amazing the prices are as good or better than most but most of all where do you get customer service and support like that.....not big box or online for sure.
