It was good food as usual, but we arrived within an hour of closing which must have been a problem. The food came out incorrect, which was rectified upon pointing it out. We had to wait for the food to be corrected and clearly that was our problem as we received the bill before we were done eating. The chairs were going up around us. The debit machine was dropped off before I finished my food. I understand that the staff want to go home, but the error that caused the delay wasn't mine.

Had a wonderful dinner. Tuesday special was 2 pc cod with fries and coleslaw. It was very good and the fillets were huge! Lol. Loved it...definitely will go back...very busy there...parking is a little tough but definitely enjoyed the dinner...service was great too!

We have eaten at this location and enjoyed many times, but I'm not sure what is happening. We ordered back in April, it was Good Friday so they were super busy. The fish and fries were so soggy with grease and undercooked. I called to let them know that I thought it was unacceptable to spend $50+ on a meal that isn't edible. They offered me 50% off my next order (not satisfactory, but I thought maybe it was an off day due to being so busy) Now nearly 10 months later, we decide to give them another shot by using our 50% off. I told the young woman on the phone (who was very friendly) about our last experience and specifically asked for the fish to be a crispy, golden brown, COOKED. We get home with our food and AGAIN it is under cooked and saturated with grease. It is currently in the oven as we speak. What a disappointment.

Pat n Hanks is still a very very very close second only to Sir Cedrics. I’ve had the halibut, haddock and cod at PnH several times. Halibut is always my 1st choice, but many times I’ll have haddock or cod as an extra piece. Yesterday I tried the special, New Zealand cod. The fish was very doughy and greasy. I know that this is not typical for this restaurant. Not sure if it’s partly because of the type of cod. I’m rating a 3 just for this one experience. P&H is still my recommendation for awesome fish n chips! Please check it out.

My how things do change the price goes up and the size of the fish goes down I get my fish and chips without the breading and I've been going there since I was a teenager that used to be a big Square like Patty now it's a tiny little square and twice the price they claim they're famous for their fish and chips I guess if you want it and you have to have it I don't myself find much difference between the two or three other fish and chips places everybody has their favorite I guess

if i could give less of a star i would. it’s common sense when a customer places an order for over 50$ that you wait til they leave the restaurant to talk bad about them. no proper communication from the cook and then they talk bad about you in the waiting area. 10/10 will not recommend to anyone nor come to this establishment again. the owners should work on hiring people who care about their customers instead of teenagers who make the company look bad

I've found their lunch staff to be better then their dinner staff so if I'm ordering dinner I will try and call it in before they switch over. I've been getting pat and hanks for years, my grandparents introduced me to them as a child and instantly fell inlove with their food but I went to this location for lunch, asked for extra tarter sauce and lemon for their daily special and got 3 tiny packages of tarter sauce and the fish is super greasy. If you like fish, it's pretty up there for quality and taste. The cost of certain fish has gone way up, so there's a pretty big price difference of some menu items that might not make sense to everyone, but just remember; Cod cheap, halibut expensive.

Orderd the food and a ginger ale , was drinking the pop when I noticed black flakes and slime in the pop ,, poured out on a napkin and was mould , showed the waitress .. There was like twenty pieces of mould about a inch long in the pop , ruined the experience for me and will not be returning ever, sad because I've been going there for years .. The fries were dry. Fish were smaller. I thought I'd try this location. I usually go to the Tecumseh one. That one is reliable in the quality. Plus I can chat with people while I wait. Not this place. Girl with the blue hair working behind the counter gave me attitude. Was watching her. She was pleasant with the other customers. Every time she talked to me, I got attitude. Obviously doesn't like my kind. Won't be coming back nor recommending this location. I have zero tolerance for any kind of discrimination or racism. Enough of that garbage. IMO. This person should be fired.

As a first time pat and hanks customer, I ordered two halibut meals which costed me $52. The batter was undercooked, I didn’t get a tarter sauce for either of the meals, the portions were ridiculously small and they gave a tiny sauce container of coleslaw. When I walked in to pick up my order, a bunch of high school kids were working. I won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend to anyone. I usually go to sir Cedric’s and they’ve never failed me.

Absolutely terrible. Our halibut was delicious but you'd never know it because it was coated in a batter so greasy the oil was running down my hands and dripping on my plate. The fries were barely cooked and some of the bigger ones still had a crunch in the middle. The dinner roll was stale and cold. And finally, the coleslaw....if that's what youd like to call it. It was so dry and tasteless it was more like a container of raw cabbage. Pat and Hanks used to be a Friday favourite, from when I was a kid. It was always delicious and never disappointed. That was far from what we experienced tonight. Things have gone DOWNHILL.

5 STARS - five stars - * * * * * I went in and was served by a bunch of friendly people in the kitchen, and it was really welcoming I am not really a big fish fan myself but I know the two cats I live with definitely love it haha (I get it not breaded of course) Only thing I could want here is poutine, maybe one day!

Usually I love the food here. But tonight it was awful. I ordered 3 pieces of fish. Except I got ALL greasy breading. I literally only had 2 tiny pieces of fish inside the size of a quarter. I could ring the grease out of the breading also. The fries tasted like they were days old and burnt. I’m so dissatisfied.
