Service wasn’t as expected. Ordered the family pack meal and wasn’t anything to write home about. We got the halibut, it was dry, unseasoned and very greasy. Fries were cold/unseasoned as well and didn’t taste fresh. Overall won’t be going back.

Recently, we tried the fish tacos at Frydays - one order of cod and the other haddock. Both were fresh and delicious! Going back tonight for a couple of fish dinners. Batter was light and crisp. Everything was delicious. Customer service was great. Try it! :-)

Your website says you are open daily 11-8 so we drove all the way there just to find out on your door sign that you are closed Sundays & Mondays. Maybe switch your website hrs so people don't drive an hour for nothing!!!!!! Very disappointed

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. I had a great experience here. We ordered takeout and got fish tacos and an extra piece of cod. The place inside is very clean and nicely decorated. The food was excellent. The fries and fish were very fresh and the batter is light and airy. I used to work at Sir Cedrics as a teenager for several years all through my university days. I’ve had probably hundreds of fried fish meals during my time there. Frydays offers better prices and a more creative take on the traditional fish & chips. The fish is all freshly prepared right in front of you. I will definitely be returning. I also love that all of their packaging and utensils are completely biodegradable and compostable. Even the clear plastic drinking cups are made from compostable PLA plastic.

While the fish and fries are quite good, I feel they have made one simple and clear mistake… pre-packed tartar sauce!! I don’t think you can really brand the place as “authentic” fish & chips and then hand out packets of factory-made tartar sauce. Make it in-house! It’s not a hard thing to whip up, but it can take the meal from “OK” to “Wow!”. That is my one criteria for being a repeat guest at a fish & chips place - so for now, I’ll pass on round 2.

Decided to give this place a try because I've heard great things. And for once the rumors were right. Holy can't beat the price and the food was absolutely amazing . Cod dinner was very filling. They were light on the batter and the size of fish was perfect. The chips were spot on , had great flavor. I orders from skip the dishes and if it was that delicious for being delivery I cannot wait to try if fresh in house. Needless to say I will definitely be going back and recommending this place to anyone feeling fishy. Ain't nothing odd about some cod ????????

When this place first opened this place fantastic. The last visit l found the fish very greasy, the fries were grossy over cooked and it all reeked of over used cooking oil. This was my experience my last two visits.

Had lunch there for the first time today. Restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is cafeteria style where you have to go to an order window and place your order and pay and then someone will bring the food out to you when it’s ready. My dining companion and I both had the 2 piece cod dinner as shown in my photo. The fish had a ton of breading and there really wasn’t that much actual fish hidden under all that breading. Overall it was reasonably tasty and we both gave it a 7 out of 10 rating. It was OK but certainly not up to the taste and quality of Pat & Hanks.

Nothing spectacular here. The food was really not bad tasting. Although, the small portions and the crazy prices left a bad taste in my mouth. The fries were just little pieces of fries. Tiny bits and pieces of fried potato called them fries. I had a small piece of halibut and a small piece of cod in a "combo" wife had a side garden salad and a small "fries" no fish at all. My order came to over $30. Imagine what the total would have been if she chose to have fish. Just not enough food for that much money. This is takeout after all. Could have had a steak dinner. Due to Windsors complete lack of a decent fish place they may just get by. Time will tell

I was excited to try this place and I wish my experience was like the five star reviews, however I do agree with the less than three star reviews. I ordered the seafood platter with onion rings. The batter is bland and didn’t seem to be fully cooked. There was probably more batter than there was seafood. The calamari was the only thing not cooked in the same batter, which was unpleasantly spicy. They give sweet chili Thai sauce which I love normally, but I don’t think it should go with “authentic” fish and chips, and the tartar sauce is not house-made, as the owner claimed two weeks ago. The tartar sauce has “Don Mills, ON” right on the packaging. I wish I had a better experience, but perhaps the experience I had was a fluke. I am willing to give this place another chance but perhaps I’ll order something different next time.

First time eating there and I am very disappointed. I ordered a 2 piece Halibut dinner and never even fiinshed the first piece before tossing it in the garbage. The fish was greasy, no taste except for the oil. I don't mind paying more for good food but in my opinion it was a total waste of money. I don't normally complain about food but I had to today. I was just that disappointed!!!!!

This was the best fish and chips my wife and I have ever had since we ate at Gordon Ramdays fish and chip restaurant in Las Vegas. Nice and clean with friendly staff. Lightly battered large piece of fish and the fries can stand alone with a topping. Will definitely be back.

I will say , the halibut here is very good, as were the fries and coleslaw. However, I understand that Friday nights can be busy, so I ordered ahead. I still had a 25 minute wait , I think they are a bit unorganized. It will take me a lot of convincing to go back.

Good fish and chips. Large pieces of fish (4oz), fresh cut fries. I have tried the halibut, cod, battered shrimp, and calamari, all were good. And for something different they make fresh corn dogs. They are worth a stop if in the area, otherwise you might find it a bit of a trek.

Just tried this restaurant for the first time today and it was fantastic! We had the halibut fish and chips dinner and we all loved it, even our toddler. The halibut was so tasty and I really liked the fluffy light batter on it. Simply delicious!

We got a 3 pc haddock dinner. All 3 pcs of fish were crispy on the outside but a layer of uncooked batter between the crispy fried batter and the meat...not really edible, owners may need to train there staff at frying fish. It may be hard to tell from the pic, but all 3 pieces had a layer of uncooked batter. Total dissapointment. Also this place is not cheap for fish and chips. Response to owner: Maybe it was just a one time thing with our order not being cooked properly BUT it clearly was not the owner frying our fish. It was one of the staff.

First time eating here! People who rated this place a 3 or higher - I don't get it. The food quality is poor. It was so greasy that it masked the taste of the fish. The fries were droopy and undercooked. For the price Pat and Hanks or Sir Cedric's give you better quality. With all the 1 and 2 ratings the owners would have addressed these issues by now. Goes to show you many people accept substandard quality and rave about how great it is. This not a Best fish in Windsor place. I will never go back!

Staff were friendly even though they were workings their butts off. Huge portions and comparable price to other places. I'll be back again when it isn't so crazy.

We had there food the first week they opened. We have never been able to receive service since. They do not answer there phone and have a answering machine. Not a got way to run a commercial business in a pandemic. We do not use delivery services.

I loved it first time there it reminds me of H salt fish and chips which is a great compliment since we haven't had any other fish restaurants that can compare great haddock very generous portion and most importantly the fish is a good thickness and not thin like most places that have mostly batter and no fish I will be back
