Went to this restaurant with my daughter and my wife, we sat down and looked at the menu and ordered the 2 pc fish and chips along with onion rings and drinks. When we got the food the fish was a bit too greasy and fell apart like it was in a blender the drinks seemed cold enough and the fries were decent and the onion rings were meh however I noticed a kid that seemed to know the owner that was just sitting there while the owner or whoever worked there splashed water on the kid also the ketchup bottles are outdated but seems like there using a off brand ketchup while in a heinz bottle. Probably not going to return back.

I rarely do negative reviews but... We ordered four 2 piece cod & chips. The fries were OK, maybe 2 1/2 stars, the fish fell apart as soon as we touched it. We had to use our forks like a spoon (scoop from below, not stab) or the fish would fall off the fork. Every bite. I will never go there again.

Had the clam chowder and cod platter. Clam chowder was good, for $5.99 it was a very small bowl, but tasty. The cod pieces were small, fries were ok. Like others, overpriced for the portion sizes. Server asked several times how the service was and if we needed anything. Contrary to other reviews, we found it ok. Heinz ketchup bottles don't have Heinz ketchup inside, but a no name brand. They must be refilling the ketchup bottles having us think they are Heinz, the date on the lid was 2013! That was a bit weird to see. Would try another fish and chip place next time, there are many by the water on the strip in white Rock. Surprised to see such a low review.

Lovely view, waitress totally uninterested in us, gross ketchup bottle that looked like it had been reused alot. at least I saved money by not giving a tip! I didn't even get a cup with my soda.

Not the best or worst fish and chips we've had. We love the fries... not salty, nice and crisp. Plus the tartar sauce. Delicious. During our visit it wasn't that busy so it was great we had our orders right away... it will take longer when there's more costumers because it is run by two people. Waitress/cashier and the cook. Waitress was not too bad. She got us what we needed. The inside is a little bit outdated and disorganized.

This is our go to place in White Rock for fish and chips. New tables and benches inside and out. It's a small family run business and can get busy when there are lots of people. But always friendly and good food.

1st time at Docks Fish and Chips and probably last time too. Customer service very poor. Standard was appalling. Fish and chips was disgusting, chips over-cooked and the skin was still on them. Too much batter on the fish. And the fish tasted stale. No salt/pepper on the table, Had to ask for it. DON'T GO THERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SICK.

Mixed feeling about this place so you decide. Fish n chip is always great - the batter is light and almost fluffy. However it is pricy and small portion. Service is ok - we always order take out anyways. Probably wouldn't want to eat in consider there's a lot of nicer restaurant right on the beach.

I used to work here and I can honestly say please don't eat here. Fish is left out in the sink over night while flies breed and buzz around like crazy. I'm pretty sure this place is failing several health codes.

It's just a bunch of kids working here ...one of them is always on her phone. Washroom had a mop and large cabinet in it . Chicken burger was a frozen patty like the ones you buy from Costco. We had to ask for a refill of our drinks , waitress needs to work on her customer service skills . I expected more since the restaurant is in a high tourist area.

Just okay. We dined here and left disappointed in mostly the service. We ordered the Docks Combo which was: 1 pc of salmon, 1 cod and 1 halibut, fries, tartar sauce and coleslaw for $29.99. The fish was nicely cooked. The fries were large cut and seasoned. The coleslaw; it was a garnish and certainly not worth mentioning on the menu so in essence this combo is way overpriced for 3 pieces of fish and fries. We also ordered a large ceasar salad for $10 and again; way too small of a portion; id hate to see the regular size. Overall though - the flavor of the meal itself was good. No complaints. It just is disappointing to have your meal arrive and think "thats it?". The service was lack lustre and indifferent which is also part of the dining experience. Our server plopped our flatware and plates down and only came to drop off our food and drinks. No quality check and no table maintenance as our plates sat empty and so did a few other table's. Nothing major but it was clear she did not feel like being there. The restaurant is licensed which is nice but again, overpriced. Our meal was $62 for 3 pcs of fish, fries, a small salad and 2 domestic beers. Nice view, clean, patio and open air seating, open concept style kitchen. Not bad but not great.

Not sure why this place has such bad reviews. Our family love it and we've been back many times. The fries are some of the best I've had. The fish is a good size. The wait can sometimes be a bit long but it's worth it for good food.

The halibut was perfectly done. It was wonderful flaky and complimented by the delicious batter. The chips were amazing, but it would have been nice to have more chips for the fish. Although for 3 peice halibut being about $40, it is not that horrible. Additional they were really quick at making the food, it took 15 minutes even on a busy sunny Saturday afternoon.

So as if the 25 min wait to find out they lost our order wasn't fun enough; the paper thin previously frozen fish was just that extra special treat. Great view, bad service. We had family lunch and service was awful. First we have food then we had drinks, when it should be opposite. Asked for my water 4 times, finally got it when almost finished my food. Also they forgot to bring my sons food and he was eating after we all finished. Great view and location.

Food was okay, but customer service was terrible and understaffed as well. I was just there yesterday and we ordered two family packs and they both came with caesar salads. We asked for plates, forks, as well as other condiments. The woman who was putting the boxes of salad in each bag and the plates and utensils just basically threw them in the bag and they were scattered everywhere and I had to organize it myself because the salad legit looked like it was about to fall out of the box. Also, as we came in we didn't get a proper greeting like "hello welcome to.." or "hi there" we just kind of stood there as they were staring at us the whole time. Same as we left, once we got our food, which took forever, the lady from before who packed the salads didn't even say "thank you have a nice day" or something. She also kind of had a rude vibe to her. Didn't like it at all. Definitely not a place I will be visiting anytime soon.

Stopped in for fish and chips after a gorgeous day wandering around. Great atmosphere, pleasant serve and really good food served up hot and fresh. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area, the place has a great vibe after spending time at the beach. I don't know why it has so low reviews though. We loved it.

Loved this place, I got the 3 pc halibut and fries. Halibut was cooked perfect great batter, fries were quite good as well. We asked the staff if we could bring our dog on the patio and the were very accommodating and even brought out water for him. Not sure why they have a 2.7 rating, my experience here was very positive.

This restaurant has gone downhill since I was last there many years ago. The fish n chips was just horrible. We had the cod.. It is not home made, you can just tell. Looks like Captain Highliner. I'm not kidding you.. Does not look like the picture. The wedges are exactly the same shape, a triangle. Hardly any fries and no little salad on the side. Don't waste your money here..

Went here for the reasonable price and good patio, which turns out all the place has going for it. Had to wait longer than necessary to have our order taken (wasn't busy) waiter spilt water on the table when he clumsily put the tray on the table, didnt offer to wipe it up, then dropped knifes and forks on table and left, no exaggeration. Food arrived in a reasonable amount of time, tasted OK but the portions are tiny, (for $1 more you can get 2x the calamari at charlie don't surf) so after we finish our food the waiter asks if our food is ok and before we can finish our answer he's already walking away. So now we wait for the bill, no rush but its taking a long time, finally he comes over and asks "would you like the bill?" We say "yes, please" and then he says "ok you have to pay at the till" yeah, like why even ask us? Anyway, pay the bill and I'm expecting my change, the woman closes the till, walks to the back and gets a beer for another patron, i had to ask for my change, she pretends she just plain forgot, gee golly whiz i hate it when that happens. Needless to say I didn't tip and wont be going back. PS. Went to the bathroom and at first thought i had entered a utility closet, no its actually the bathroom, it just doubles as storage.

This fish and chips brought back my trust in fish and chips.restarants. For freshness in both the fish and the Cole slaw salad , my taste has been completely satisfied.I am a wary fish and chips eater because I very often get disappointed first with the quality of fish and with the enormous batter that is used to wrap the fish. Docks was not disappointing at all. Will certainly drive to White Rock for the fish and chips and the service.

TERRIBLE!!! We ended up leaving after we were seated because the server didn't come to our table and the restaurant only had 2 other customers. When we got up from the table to leave server comes up and says hi and my husband said we're leaving because you seemed disinterested in your customers so we are leaving & she just walked away. It's also not covid friendly, no sanitizing when you enter the restaurant.

I gave 2 stars since they have good specials, nice owners, and good service. The Fish and Chips were greasy. I think they turn down or off their fryer, to save costs. So, they rush the order by frying them at a lower temperature. The portion was good. The Clam Chowder bowl was not worth the price. I tasted a few bits, not piece, of what I think are clams. The rest of the soup was just vegetables. The taste was good but I would not order it again until they actually have clams in them. I hope they raise their quality and get repeat customers. Otherwise, they will only get unsuspecting first timers. That will dwindle with Social Media.

I came to vancouver for a family vacation and my friend recomended that we should go here.The food is really good. The Batter on the fish is really light and the pieces are big. The fries are nice and crispy. The staff is really warm and welcoming. Overall I loved the place. I would definitely come here again and I would recommend it.
