amazing meat selection, incredibly cheap., like insanely cheap, can get two full boneless round eye steaks for 3 bucks, or 10 large pork chops for less than 8 bucks, really cheap corn on the cob too, other things can get expensive though, soda and chips, juice crackers and cookies are more expensive than at walmart, but nothing can beat the meat! super cheap and always fresh, dont change pupos please, my go to bbq place every summer

Pupo's grocery store is the good old type of grocery outlet that deserves a BIG congratulations for the wonderful store they have put together. It is not the major grocery stores we all know about. It is a lot more the type of store we all knew back then, years ago. But nevertheless, it does provide a must wonderful shopping experience. The store supplies everything one needs to eat well and entertain guests at home. Each row provides and excellent choice of grocery items everyone needs, without having excess amounts of brands available. The prices are more than reasonable. One can find items that are priced well below items in the larger chains. The fruits and vegetables sections are well laid out, and are fresh... The choice of cheeses is excellent and provide all that one needs. The meat counter in very well garnished and the cuts are plentiful. All in all, a shopping experience at Pupo's makes for a must wonderful outing whilst making sure you can find everything you need. The personnel, well... Nothing to say other than they CARE about you, they will go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. Finally, the store is extremely clean and week kept. I know my shopping experience was a great one. If you live in Welland you can't go wrong; try out and go out shopping for yourself, I promise you will be amazed of you grocery shopping experience.

Everyone at this grocery, even shoppers is surprisingly gentle. This shop has a unique and somewhat nice smell that you can feel when you just step in. We love shopping at pupos for the freshness of the vegetables and meat. Very close to where we live and within walking distance. Prices are a bit more than a less expensive store but comparable to sobeys or zehrs. And I love that it is a family run/owned business !

Meh, not the most pleasant experience. Prices aren't great. Went there to get a couple steaks and some lettuce. Brought my own bags. Wanted a basket, not a cart, but didn't see any when I walked in. Got my steaks and lettuce, stopped to grab a thing of juice when an employee starts giving me a dirty look. I look at him, and he says "didn't want to use a basket?" I told him there weren't any at the front. He rolls his eyes and looks away with a disgusted look. I said "is there a problem?" He replies "ya, what if you just put stuff in bags and walk right out? Guess I'll have to follow you around" Then after another sigh, and a couple of huffs and puffs, he follows me to the cash. Never experienced anything like that in a store in my life. I suggest if you're going to stalk your customers who don't use a basket, make them available and visible.

I try and Support our local farmers and businesses so I purposely shop here even if that means my groceries are not a one stop shop, Its the right thing to do lol

This is the type of grocery store you remember as a kid. The chain grocery stores don't have nothing on this place. Lots of Ontario products, an amazing deli & butcher counter, with very fresh cuts and instore made Sausages, burgers etc.. No wonder Pupos has been around for so long.

Been coming here for years to get fresh produce and meats. You can taste the quality in the food especially the meats. Never once saw a bad vegetable or fruit. Love how they sell the blue cheese in the container ready to eat. The freshest turkey is here during the holidays. Good deli selection and cheeses. Been shopping there for at least 10 yrs. Love the service and the only store around that still always asks if need help to unload groceries to your vehicle. Being disabled and limited to what I can carry, I love the old fashion service of always being offered help. Also you can never go wrong with their weekly specials of what I find the finest meat and produce around. Also u can never find the freshest delicious bakery department. It is irresistible.

Pupos is an old fashioned family run grocery store. Great deli section with lots of selection of cold cuts and cheeses. Their meat is if the highest quality as well their baked goods are fresh. It's well known to the residents of Welland but is worth a visit if you are out of town.

I love pupos and have been shopping there for years, mainly I shop for meat for my dogs but today I had a horrible experience there with some of the employees, I was cashing out and the man bagging my groceries was questioning me as to why I’m buying a certain kind of meat for my dogs and harassing me and not handing me my groceries, I had done nothing wrong so I was very confused as I go to leave I look back and see the young cashier and him laughing at me and whispering. Needless to say I was very upset and it was very uncalled for, as I go to call and make a complaint the guy who was harassing me answered and would not give me his name and sent me through to talk to a cashier when I asked for the owner. I am very disappointed with the service I revived today.

Was upset that they had no places to line up at deli. I was first in store, 1st at deli, ordered 4 things and when I looked around there were like 35 people on a Sunday! Everytime I tried to move over the guy and his wife and 2 kids kept pushing me. Seriously 1 person at the counter per family! But not organized. I guess he cares more about the money then protecting his customers. I spend a couple hundred a week or more there and his actions are making me stop coming there. I am doing everything to protect myself and others. I follow the rules. He needs to notice these things and walk around store

First time ordering over the phone for grocery delivery from anywhere. When I called Pupos, the customer service agent was friendly, patient and helpful. The process was above my expectations of efficiency and understanding. Thank you for having delivery as an option and wonderful customer service. I also wanted to mention the delivery company, RC delivery in Welland were helpful when I called them as well! I would recommend this service and would definitely use it again; thank you! The only feedback....if you could come up with a way to have all the prices in the system(online or through the agent on the phone), where we can know the total of the order before the charge!

I asked for my turkey to be quartered and received 2 completely different breast sizes. I suspect they were not from the same turkey. Another time I ordered my fresh turkey and low and behold, it was still frozen in the middle. When I called immediately, I was told that it must have gotten frozen from sitting on the truck too long. Hello, but meat freezes from the outside in, not from the inside out. I didn't even ague with the complete absurdity of the explanation. Not my only questionable experiences, but if you value the quality of your holiday turkey..... Please note these occasions happened October 2020 and December 2020, I believe after the retirement. I notice there aren't many bad reviews however there is no response to them from Pupos either.

I stopped in for fresh bread because my daughter was craving it. Baguettes were on sale for $1!! And they were DELICIOUS!!!! I also grabbed a basket of fresh Ontario peaches that were also delicious!! If I had one complaint, it's that the lines were too long and not enough cashiers..HOWEVER, the cashiers that are available are always very polite & friendly plus there is someone there to bag your groceries too. They don't have stores like that anymore! Always have great, fresh meats as well. Great store and usually decent sales going on all the time.

Just moved here to welland and wanted to try this place out. So loaded up my van and drove there. I had to take my baby with me who's in a stroller and when I pulled into the parkinglot I had seen signs on the door. As I get closer it says "customers HAVE to use a buggy". Now being as I have no way of pushing a buggy as I have a stroller I'm assuming they have a few baskets for situations like this. NOPE! They told me I had to use buggy or nothing. So wasted a drive. I'm not impressed with them at all. I will NOT return just because of how they couldn't even help at all. They should change your website informing customers before they waste their time going that only buggies are to be used. Not very good customer service.

Don't buy their pre made pumpkin pie; awful. Go to Zhers for the Farmer's Market pie. Not the friendliest/happiest staff. Maybe they know they're being constantly watched by Management. Butcher is very good. Convenient to our home otherwise better off driving to Sobeys or Zhers.

MY niece and I went to Pupo's for the 1st.. time today. My Sister who lives in Welland loves shopping there and often gets me some of the terrific sales. Went through the store shopped , asked some of the staff some questions who were very helpful and pleasant. We went to cash out. My Niece was a head of me there was the Cashier and A Guy bagging the groceries. They carried on a conversation the entire time her groceries were being bagged, never said anything to her when she was finished. The cashier started to ring in stuff, never looked at me, no acknowledgement. When all my groceries were bagged she finally looked at me and I said " Hell-o and that I wish I had a job where I could gossip all day. Nothing was said and my receipt handed to me. Unbelievable, so not ok

Not busy when I went in. Started to get busier as I was checking out. Everything was and is fresh. Staff always pleasant. I continue to edit my review of Pupo's. The past 2 years with Covid has affected everyone. Pupo's Food Market is no exception. Throughout this time they have continued to maintain their high standards of produce, meats, deli and bakery along with customer service. All with maintaining guidelines of safety to all, with smiles, kindness and patience. It is very heartwarming seeing a multi generational family carrying on and continuing what began years ago. Pupo's honestly is second to none.

It was so crowded there was no way we could have kept 6 ft. distancing! They did not limit the number of people inside. There are no arrows in the isles to allow space. I will not return until I hear this is looked after.

Good fresh deli meat but the lady butcher can use some manners and be nicer when asked something asked to cut a roast shaved and she said with attitude deli shaves we cut thinly sliced very rude like not a good attitude to deal with the public
