This was the first time shopping in this location. It was a good start seeing that there was a staff member diligently cleaning the buggies for the customers and doing a pretty good job. I shopped on a Saturday around noon and it was quite busy. For being in COVID lockdown, there was no signs of staff doing a head count upon entry. When I went into the store. It was jammed with a lot of customers. Though the store had signage to direct the flow of traffic, many customers and some staff ignored the direction signage. A lot of customers was wearing mask incorrectly and within 10 mins of shopping, I decided to leave. I could not give a higher rating because I did not stay to see what they had in stock. I wanted to see what they had and get a feel of the store so that I could start using the PC Express at this location. Seeing the customers having a disregard for the COVID rules and some staff members acting the same way. I had to take a hard pass. It was not a good first impression but during a pandemic, I am not willing to give this No Frills another chance. I will spend a it more money and head to Zehrs where I see that COVID protocols being enforced.

It's okay. I typically am in and out of here, today they seemed a bit understaffed as there were only two registers opened and line spanning across the store from each. After about 15 minutes they did slowly trickle out reinforcements. It was appreciated that the workers STOPPED those who tried to skip the line and instead physically walked over to folks who were next telling them they are next. I avoid produce from here. It always goes bad within a day it seems.

The staff is is AMAZING and so friendly. I actually enjoy my shopping experience here and look forward to the check out line, so I can talk to my favourite cashier....MICHELLE! Also, BEST avocados in Welland and I can always find ripe and ready avocados, which I need often. LOVE this store and love the great prices. Oh, also LOVE the selection of organic which is growing. This place allowed me to collect their carts from customers for donations when I was homeless so I could work my way back up. It honestly helped and kept me out of trouble as I was offering many people the convenience of being able to just pack their food in the trunk and go saving time and the workers also could focus on the inside of the stores presentation. They have proved they are about the community amd helping the community. Unlike Fairview mall Zehrs whos sexist owner called the cops on me for doing the same but then a month later I saw him giving a girl doing the same thing $50 and some free food. Never forget people who actually is here for us and who is here for our money. No Frills is Community Approved. Thank You.

To start with you need to carry a 25 cent coin (yeah, a coin!) to be able to use their carts. It’s the most uncomfortable place to shop if you don’t carry a 25 cent coin with you. Omg! Where do you find one of these in the 21sf century? You cannot find a fresh fish, shitake, and much more. They have very limited options to offer. They don’t have any fair competition in the neighbourhood and I think that’s why they just don’t really care. On top of that, one of the workers (just one) was rude enough to me that could make me not even want to go to that store anymore! Ok, price is good and this is only thing I cannot lie about. But that’s the only thing!

I refuse to ever shop at this NO FRILLS!! My cashier was RUDE and unpleasant. Not a fan of only 4 price matches for same item and how they dont price match drug stores. Wallmart all the way! They price match just about anywhere and accept printed coupons.

No Frills, it's in the name. Barely a selection for anything. Herbs are always rotting. But my biggest issue has been an access issue as a person with disabilities mitigated by a service dog. I had the absolute rudest interaction with a manager harassing me.about the legitimacy of my harnessed service dog who did nothing but stay in a heel the whole time. I sent in a letter with my contact info and never recieved an apology. If it wasn't the only grocery store I can manage to get to I would never go there.

I’ve been shopping there regularly for the last couple of years, and find they are doing a fair job during this pandemic keeping their employees and customers safe. The only issues that I have is with the parent company (Loblaws), as I find that the quality of the produce isn’t as good as it was, and the fact that they dropped the COVID bonus to their employees, even though the pandemic is nowhere near over and their workers are still on the front line risking their lives for them.

It's a decent store but I have one big issue: When I go there, I'm only grabbing a few items so I like to use the express lane but it's rarely open. This seems like a bad move on their part as most grocery shoppers are only buying a select few items. We seen they offered online shopping. With Covid we did this to avoid going into the store and trying to help the cause. When we got there we called since we didn't see a number only to find out we have to go into the store to get our order. Once inside we were told to go through all the pantry and fridges to find our order. With that nobody watched us and there was nothing stopping us from taking other people's orders. What's the point of trying not to go into the store when you still have to go in and wait in a line. First and last time we shop there. Walmart offers free pickup and then bring it to your car and even close the back when done.

This No Frills location tried to gaslight my best friend, I have the screen caps and the call history in my files. I don't think he ever even went there. The ceiling is far too tall. The average Canadian is around 5'3" to 5'9", there is no reason for this and it gives me anxiety. Also this store just generally looks like a soiled barnyard.

I am their customer since 2010. I know my way around there. Used to clean their windows a couple years as well what give me a VIP ticket view to behind the "stage". I'm telling you, there... what you see is what you get. They don't have big storage department in the back only freezer. Trucks keep coming multiple times daily and products flying to the shelf freshly.... The staff is really friendly and polite and helpful, Like it is a corner store. small town feelin in big. :) Great selection from value to "Whyyy??". And what me and my wife like the most that we probably would be able to get our shopping done with our eyes closed. Also We could make the shopping list in walking order.... And thanks for that.

I really like this store. The only improvement suggestion I would make is this...I understand the quarter in the cart concept however if your going to charge for carts then there should be a change machine available for your customers, or offer the option to purchase the plastic key like staff has, for a one time greater fee.

The store is getting some upgrades so it is starting to look better. However the fruit and veg selection is not always great. They are also not limiting people in the store at one time anymore. So it gets super crowded and no way to social distance customers in the store or in line.

Prices are low. With that comes a store that does not treat its employees very well, one that had absolutely no care for covid-19 and the restrictions that accompanied it, and one that has problems that are not immediately addressed. If you are looking for cheap products and food, you can definitely find it here, however I would not recommend buying meat or produce, as much better quality of products can be found elsewhere.

Just moved to Welland recently. When I lived in St Catherine's for 26 years Mark's no frills always had the flyer items in stock. 3 times now I have gone to Girard's in Welland and they never have had the sale items in stock that I wanted and this was on Thursday morning. Not a pleasant experience.

Great place to pick up what you NEEd, you can make sure your family eats right at a fair price, service is phenomenal, even if I pick up one thing or casual load household would do.... you'll get out quick... you won't mind shopping there, minus the locals... personally your going to see more in Welland because of the low population, you'll notice them more. Overall Girard in past 2 years ish... has run that place great... AS WELL as pc products at some times, they are (not just saying) products are made better than some brand names... and no "filler" natural.... Enjoy.

One thing about No frills Lincoln St. that is hugely annoying is the check out area. It is far too congested the way it is set up. People bagging on both sides as well as others waiting to move on by holds up the process. I have heard from many customers who are unhappy with this situation. Other than this I have no complaints.

Prices are high. Not much selection. Fresh food isn't very fresh. Lately they've been playing country music. I avoid this store as much as possible now, because I hate country music. They only have a few of the regular things I buy, so I always have to go to at least two stores to do my shopping. (They don't have chocolate soy milk or soy coffee whitener, which are carried by other stores in the area). Some of the produce is good, but a lot of it is bad. The Brussels sprouts are always shriveled and half rotten. A lot of the time, the broccoli is small and rubbery. And all of it costs more than anywhere else. Sometimes more than twice as much. They claim they price match, but they won't price match with Walmart or giant tiger. The prices never make sense. When sweet potatoes are $1.97 per pound at no frills, they're 97¢ per pound at Walmart. Sometimes the prices are so high, you'd think there was a worldwide shortage. I usually buy produce somewhere else. But since they only have 3 or 4 of the things I usually buy, (that I can get somewhere else) I usually just skip going here.

I live in beamsville but take a friend grocery shopping she lives in Welland and I must say that I really like Girard's No Frills I find it clean the vegetables alot fresher and I have not found green spoiled meat on the shelves like I do at Dean's in beamsville!! The staff there is very helpful and nice!! I do prefer to shop all the way in welland !
