I don’t even want to add a star but in order to write a review I had too… I’ve been eating from cheers my whole life and I have to I’m absolutely disgusted and sad. My fries weren’t even filled in the container very little gravy and it definitely wasn’t cheesy… it wasn’t even cheese curds it’s so bad I doubt I’ll ever eat there again

Was really craving a chicken parm sandwich and found this place through skip the dishes. Wings were raved about so got those too. Really happy with my meal, will definitely order again. The wings were great, and so was the parm sandwich!

Food was OK, but when I received the bill they charged me for hot peppers on my steak sub? Was coded as fried onions on the bill and when I asked it why the waitress said it was for hot peppers, what a joke, so in other words they upped my bill. In principal I will never be back.

Cheers is a quaint little pub and restaurant that has great food. The fish and chips seem to be their specialty and is well prepared with good size portions. I like that this location has a wall that seperates the bar/pub and the restaurant section. A great place to eat in Welland.

Such a cute little pub located downtown welland. Staff is always super friendly, beer is cold, great live entertainment (when that was a thing ????) and the owner is a stand up guy. Not to be oversold, but Cheers is THE SINGLE BEST DINING ESTABLISHMENT IN THE NIAGARA REGION, HANDS DOWN. To start, to say the food at Cheers is amazing would be an understatement. The food at Cheers is an experience. Each and every dish. It's they type of restaurant where even though you could get the fish and chips every single time and never be let down, you will want to try something new each time. I have been working my way through the menu, and I have still to this day never come close to disappointment. Where I work, Bob Pietz Heating, Cheers is definitely our first choice for lunch every time. We don't even need to ask eachother or vote, it's a given. Kimberly knows exactly what we're there for everytime, and what I love most is the pride she takes in having our orders memorized. Her service alone deserves an entire 5 star review! Looking for a down to earth bar to enjoy finger foods? Cheers has that. Looking for something a little more romantic or family oriented? Cheers has that too! The dining room in the back has an ambience that is just perfect for every occasion. From anniversaries to Mother's Days, Cheers is the perfect location to please anyone and everyone. Finally, what you simply have to admire about Cheers the most is it's sense of humour. Go ahead, head in an ask for the wifi password! From the cleverly written signs on the side of the building, right down to some of the review responses we see here, whoever is in charge of the public relations is truly a gift to this establishment. You are KILLING IT. It's truly not a wonder why you can find countless awards on the walls in Cheers. They have earned every bit of accolades they have received, and every bit they will continue to receive if they keep up with exactly what they are doing now. I could go on more, but I'm sure people already think I am just blowing smoke, but to you people, I extend the challenge - try it for yourself and prove me wrong. Go ahead, get the halibut and try and tell me you've had a better plate of fish and fresh cut chips anywhere else. I dare you. By the way, I really want that Cheers portrait in the dining room! I would hang that in my home with great pride, I assure you!

My favourite restaurant in Welland and I am picky as hell. I always order the Mild Wings (with extra sauce!). A true traditional chicken wing, served hot and crispy. Never any complaints! The fish and chips are a good choice too (get gravy though!). I think the only suggestion I could make to the owner is to use cheese curds for the poutine. I'd buy it more often and I would pay extra for it. Shredded cheese is just not the same, but I get it, the cost. Just my insight! Great drinks and food all 'round. See you on Wing Night!

Ordered take out fish-n-chips today for the first time. I will not order again. There was more batter then fish. Fish fillet was so thin inside the massive amounts of batter that it made the fish tough and dried out, chewy like a rubber band, i am assuming from being over cooked. Everything was dark, like it was cooked in dirty oil. In fact that is what it tasted like as well. The tartar sauce was lil pre packs and gross. Had to make my own tartar sauce at home. I had high hopes of it being the best fish and chips i ever had, it turned out to be the worst i have ever had. Wont order again.

Very disappointing customer resolutions at this place. If you have an issue with something and complain be prepared to just be told you cant come back. I would understand if I was irate and rude (according to the waitress I was, funny how everyone else agreed i was not). I guess they can afford to tell regulars that used to spend a lot of money in here they are banned over a complaint.

Ordered the 4oz Cheers burger and wings, both amazing. Would be nice to see onions included on the burger, instead of having to pay extra for fried onions. Got the Nanaimo bar for dessert, was delicious, but a little expensive. I was impressed that the fries were hand cut! Service was top notch. PS. We loved reading the owner's replies to the comments, you rock!

Hands down the best wings, maybe anywhere in Ontario!? Always delicious, never over or under sauced. The honey garlic and the hot jumbo wings are perfect ???? delivery through Skip the Dishes is definitely a good option. Once the plague simmers down, would be nice to sit inside and check out the pub for myself.

I love Cheers. They have great chicken wings, service and staff. I recommend getting the Jack style or some Fish on Friday's. The owner is very nice also, one time I got my car stuck in pot hole outside and he came and helped me get unstuck. I didn't need to call CAA. Thanks, Cheers!

Friendly staff. When we arrived there were just a few people in the restaurant. We ordered poutine and chicken wings with carrots and celery and blue cheese dip. We waited over 1/2 hour for our order, and although the wings were served hot they were very bland and dry. Just celery on our plates, no carrots and the poutine was not authentic poutine and was $9. Won't be back.

Ordered nachos, mozzarella sticks and cheese cake through skip the dishes all of which were very disappointing. “Large size” nachos were less than a small anywhere else I’ve ordered from and seemed to be stale. The cheesecake left a lot to be desired. The mozzarella sticks were okay.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Literally the most disgusting food I've ever ordered in my life. Noodles were complete mush and still in a lovely pool of water. Sauce didn't cover a single noodle, looked like it was just thrown into the container from the other side of the kitchen. And the food poisoning, I mean chicken was still pink through and through and rubbery. Giving it a 1 star is still too generous.
