There fish and chips is great to eat. So good with mayo and tar tar sauce. They have bar and other foods as well. But the staff are so busy may be you will get very less help from them.

Little bit on the expensive side for a greasy spoon, but boy is the medium F&C ever good! A heaping mound of homemade crispy fries with a pair of beautifully crispy, yet melt in your mouth, fish filets. Great spot for a quick bite before jumping on the boat.

AMAZING fish and chips! I don't usually like chips, but these were exceptional. Fish was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of moistness and batter. Also, extremely cheap: 3 piece large fish and chips were only like $14, and our beer were ~$4/ea. Super friendly staff, too! Thanks!

Dicks' is a Bell Island treasure. Make sure you stop in fresh off the ferry as the lines build quickly. The staff is friendly and professional, however, due to the rush of people getting off the ferry, they can get behind on clearing tables in a timely fashion. As the local Newfies have expressed; you haven't been to Bell Island unless you've eaten a plate of Dicks'.

Met and exceeded the hype on their fish and chips. Quite possibly the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Golden crispy flakes on the outside and succulent steamy cod fish on the inside. Wash it down with a cool brewski and your all set for the day.

Throw down for some fish & chips, you won't be disappointed! If you're traveling to or visiting Bell Island Dicks' is a staple you cannot leave without saying you've been there! Staff is great, lots of cool stuff to look at inside the lounge and decent food! I'd imagine its probably a rocking joint on the weekend in the summertime; will definitely be back later in the summer to check that out!!

Food was tasty. The service for food could be improved as I was kept waiting for my meal while the rest of the party was eating twice on vacation. Everything was good though - would have liked to have had a cozier seating area, but can't complain. Good spot for take out and to wait for the boat. Can't comment on the bar area, as I was only there for dressing and gravy really.

Beau, bon, pas cher. Had the fish and chip which was really good. The concept of ordering at the counter and paying ahead of time is interesting. But they serve you the food at the table. So why can't they come take the order at the table? Packaged tartar sauce should be replaced by fresh-made.

Best Fish & Chips we’ve had so far on our trip to Newfoundland! Lightly battered, not greasy, thick cut cod and delicious fries!!! We had such a lovely server - his name was Keith, he chatted with us and was so pleasant. We would highly recommend this spot, and it’s conveniently located right by the ferry dock. The fish and chips here was wayyyy better than what we had in St.John’s.

Fries were great, but the fish wasn't very impressive. Burger was good. Service was fine, but it's more like a fast food place than a sit down restaurant in that they give you your food and leave you to it. Overall decent, but nothing special unfortunately.

Paid 80.00 for a waste of food it was disgusting and there was nothing good for our kids to eat!! Will never eat there again ! My boys there up on the floor it was that gross and the staff were slow & not very accommodating!!! Should of gotten my money back I was very disappointed !!

When in for engine light on. One oil change and after 7 hrs wait the bill was 271.87. For basically a loose gas cap which should have been mentioned at beginning of service instead of after unnecessary checking . Never take your car there again
