You may have noticed that it reaches an feddbacks average is really positive, and it's based on a very high number of scores, so we may think that the score is quite faithful. If people have bothered to give their review when they've done well with the service, it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to put feddbacks when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...

Delicious English style food! Super friendly.
Very clean, excellent fish, Service was very good too
Absolutely amazing food! Fish burger was the best I’ve ever had! Will definitely be back!!
My wife and I attended Harry's during a weekday. We dropped in around 2 p.m for a fish and chips meal and really enjoyed what we found. The service was right on, super pleasant, water had a bit of lemon in it, everything very very clean, and a really full meal, 2 pieces of fish, plenty of chips. I was disappointed to read one of the reviews in which they noted that the plate price was in the 20$ range and suggested this was unreasonable. This is real fish, not pressed fish parts. The days of the 10$ cod lunch are long gone. This real fish is fairly priced, there was a perfect batter on each which highlighted the fish, rather than being a sea of batter concealing the fish, nicely cooked, not the usual cook it to absolute death. This was some of the best fish and chips I've had. Was it the cheapest fish and chips? No, that's not what they're about. This was quality. I would go there again.
Delicious! Great staff.
Fries were really good and the fish was not over battered
I absolutely love this place. Hands down best fish and chips in town!
Fish was outstanding-absolutely excellent.
Being from England it's hard to get good fish and chips .... these are good very good . Small fish but well cooked Nice batter and real chips not frozen.
I had heard a lot of good things so I decided to try it. I had the halibut x 2 and the pieces were massive, crispy on the outside and nice and tender inside. The chips could have maybe been done a tad longer but were still pretty awesome. As the great Arnold once said.....I’ll be back!
Good food at a great price. Hand cut fries were perfect. They were able to accommodate gluten free for me. Very clean restaurant and spotless bathrooms. The service was polite and attentive. We will be back.
Good service and fresh food. Always! I recommend this place to everyone ????
Friendly staff nice clean place food is decent
Excellent fish and chips. Fantastic thin, crispy batter.
The best Fish and Chips anywhere- including England (I used to deliver potatoes to the Fish and Chip shops there- so I have sampled lots)
The batter had no flavour, there was no salad dressing in the “coleslaw”, the buttered bun was a hamburger bun with butter and the “gherkin” was a regular dill pickle. Also, with single person washrooms, there’s really no reason for them to be gendered.
Best fish and chips hands down.
Food and service was great.
Best place for fish 'n' chips, with a good variety of fish
Awesome food and staff, will be returning soon!
Very good food and service
The owners are nice, the restaurant is clean and modern, and fish and chips are definitely the best in town. Nice couple with a great business idea for Vernon! Will be back for sure.
Deep fried mushrooms, fish burger and ofcourse fish and chips are to die for (hypothetically). Absolutely worth it. The food was beyond expected and fish was very good(one of the best i have tried). Great vibe from the staff, kitchen and seating arrangements. Will come back for sure. Thank you guys keep up the great work. Thank you very much for great food.
Great prices, Great service, Great owners and great fish. Just check it out you won't regret it.
We came here on recommendation from a local... and we were not disappointed. In fact we came back twice in one week during our vacation. My dad is extremely picky when it comes to fish and chips. He has rated Harry’s the best he has ever had; and he has experienced fish and chips around the world. Amazing service, and quality food. Will come back again!
The Cod had a nice thin batter and wasn't oily. I could eat more than the tablespoon of coleslaw that was provided.

Found the fish and chips average.
Very friendly staff and also following the current covid protocols. Fries were very disappointing as the tartare sauce. Fish was well seasoned tho. Yummy coconut shrimp.
Amazing place. Haddock and chips were terrific and very reasonably priced. The tarter sauce is the best I have ever tried. Been here twice in one week.
Service
Lovely batter, the fish has been fresh every time I’ve been. The battered sausage was the best I’ve had since moving to Canada. Happy customer every time.
My husband and I were in Vernon running errands. We stopped in for takeout, and the fish was so superb, it was fantastic! I have never had fish that good! The staff were very nice, also. I would highly recommend this place. Thank you!
The best Fish & Chips in the Okanagan. Great value for the price.
Amazing fish and Chips. Haven’t enjoyed fish and chips like this since Central Cafe in Stranraer Scotland. Very reasonable pricing ($6 pint of Guinness!) fresh food (coleslaw is never brown or stale) and great service.
Gross and fries are not homemade.
Awesome Salmon and chips Will be going back
Great local restaurant really enjoyed the fish and chips recommend to check it out great staff
Super clean and food is fresh, overall we liked it. Fish was crispy and flaky and samosas were good, chutney was really good. Lost a star for the flowing, food took a while and we were the only people in there, as well we thought for the price and the fact it presents itself as a traditional chipper, we should have had a plate of chips with 2 pieces of fish on top, not a side of chips.
Friendly service but was hoping for a better fish and chip meal!
My husband and I went here Monday for lunch and were super disappointed. Our fish(cod) was very overcooked and lacked flavour, the tiny amount of coleslaw wasn't good and the serving size of fries was like a handful not a larger portion like expected to get with fish and chips. We also ordered a curry pie which was super yummy. It wasn't freshly made so the pastry wasn't crispy but still very tasty. The waitress was not very attentive. Our water was quite warm when we got it so I asked for a glass of ice, twice, and both times we didn't even get half a glass. She also not once asked us if we wanted more water or how our meals were. Just so no one is shocked you are also forced to give a top of at least 10% if you pay by debt. Due to all these factors we will not return here.
There was a slight mistake with the order. The staff not only corrected the order, the meal was given free of charge (halibut and chips). The staff sat with us and were very friendly.
Amazing! I loved the Cod and chips! I have had fish and chips around the world and these were some of the best I have ever had! Fish was delicate and moist. The batter was crisp and just the right amount. And the chips were straight from the UK. I will definitely be back!
Really Good!!! We'll be back!!
Cod and chips was really good, but a bit skimpy on the coleslaw. Very expensive, thought, and we don't feel the price was worth the portion that we received.
The fish (cod) was done to perfection and the chips hot and crispy. Excellent. Highly recommend.
awesome fish dinner we will 100 % go back there
Horrible I payed 30 dollars for 2 small pieces of cod that where apparently large and a small batch of fries claiming it was plenty for 2 adults got it home and that was not the case will not be returning
Really delicious British fish and chips. The serving portions were nice and the staff was really pleasant. A nice addition to main street.
Fish was fresh but fried dark and chips stale, crab fritters are a bit salty for my liking. Maybe I got an inconsistent order based on the other reviews.
Had the Halibut it was amazing
Amazing just an old English experience for the taste buds. Awesome service
thoroughly enjoyed my fish and chips order..exactly what was expected and ordered....good stuff!
Food was good but the service seemed like they were in way over their heads. Slow and disorganized
Halibut was amazing lightly battered and not greasey..staff are always friendly and the place is clean...never had a bad experience..
Best fish and chips in Vernon, quite possibly B.C! Real British Fish n’ Chips. The batter isn’t too thick, their sausages are delicious with herbs and light spices, Decent Chips. Reasonable Pricing and friendly staff. They’re new and figuring some things out but this place fills up fast! Do yourself a favour, nip down to ‘arrys and eat ‘ere!
Service
It was good.
I really enjoyed it.
Nice thick pieces of halibut compared to other places in town. And I enjoyed the chips. What I didn't like was the fact that if you ordered in the tartar sauce and coleslaw were included in your meal but for take out they are not included and yet the price is exactly the same.
If you're a fish and chips person "THIS PLACE IS THE BEST IN VERNON!" You just may become a fish and chips person after visiting this place. I had take out and it was under 5 minutes out the door fresh cooked. I'll definitely be a regular at this place.
As a British national I unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant. It claims to have "traditional" British fish and chips which it does not. Whilst I cannot comment on the Fish as i did not eat any but the chips were horrible stale skinny fries worse than a Mcdonalds fry. I ordered a plain sausage, and a battered sausage with chips, the batter was soggy and the sausage was half the size of what you would get in the UK. It was overall very sad and disappointing.
Great food. Fantastic service. Just stopped in from Chilliwack. We will be back every time we are in town.
Absolutely amazing and unexpected place to find samosas in town. One of the best homemad french fries in town. Large turnover rate within staff is the only downside to this downtown lunch on the go haven.
I was looking forward to treating my hubby to a great fish and chips dinner so it was a very quiet ride home. Considering that the bill was over $40. I won't be doing that again. I don't eat fish very often so I ordered a chicken burger with chips and gravy. It arrived in a cold bun, barely warm, nothing else to dress it up. No lettuce or tomato, nothing. Hubby ordered the 2 piece Halibut and considering the price ($24) it was a disappointment too. He describes it as underdone on the inside and flavorless. We really looked forward to supporting this new enterprise but just can't.
Authentic British style fish and chips. So good. If you’re looking for friendly small town hospitality this is the place. Will be back!
Staff was wonderfully friendly, our food came out quick and fresh and hot (and DELICIOUS!), and the restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere.
Delicious! Best F&C by far in the Okanagan
Fantastic little gem, 100% authentic British style fish n chips. Highly recommend for some yummy food!
Great food!! Great service!!
Great batter! Crispy and not too thick. Good fries. Friendly and quick service. Within 15 minutes of sitting down we had our food. Will go again.
Lunch
Delicious food, big slices of Halibut and the chips seem homemade not factory cuts. Coleslaw is good as well.
Outstanding food and service
It's very likeable!
We all had the cod and chips. Both were very good. Service was good but thought they should be wearing masks, with covid happening.
Really enjoyable meal, we had halibut and chips. Very lightly battered fish was a welcome change to most fish and hops shops!! The fries were also very good.
Would not recommend. Small portions and cheap fries.
Authentic tasting English fish, chips and lots more (sausages, pies, chicken). Great value, great portions, licensed, kids meals. Clean, diner-style restaurant.
Just had Harry's fish and chips. So disappointed. The chips were small and thin and overcooked. More like leftovers and warmed up. The fish was the same. Thin and a bit dry. Batter was very dark. At least it was very hot. Finally, coleslaw although fresh had absolutely no taste.
We came today for the first time and enjoyed an excellent lunch. I read the reviews posted and agree with all of those who gave five stars. Instead of repeating what others have duly praised, I will only add one unique observation — it is the only fish and chips place I have ever eaten at that offers excellent grilled salmon at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.
So yummy! Highly recommend this lovely place. So clean, service was excellent. Best tartar sauce ever!
Great price and food, lacking in customer service
Friendly good place prices not to bad..
The best fries!
We went there today Was very delicious Very clean and very friendly staff as well I recommend to stop by there to support local business. Definitely going back
Great fish and chips. Very fresh and cooked to perfection. Next time I'm in Vernon. Will make a special trip back to Harry's. As well very attentive and friendly service.
Great food, fantastic service!!!
Dine in
Great food. Not greacy/oily at all. Great staff. I go here often.
Lunch
Excellent fish & chips and decent beer selection. Only wish is to see them add beer on tap. Happy to see them adhering to vaccination rules.
Best onion rings in town. They were nice and hot, and so crispy. The fries were also delicious. I had the chicken burger and the piece of chicken on it was a perfect size. Staff was friendly and the prices were decent.
Food was great, best fish and chips I've had since moving to Canada. BUT not happy that they use stirofoam take away containers. It's A: terrible for the environment and B: Why can't you use butcher paper like an English fish n chips shop?
It was okay. The batter was too hard and the cod was dry. Too expensive for the size of the portions. One large cod and chips and one medium cod and chips, beer and a glass of wine $58.
Excellent and cleanly fried fish and chips for $10. Nice batter and pleasant atmosphere. Some negative posts highlight savage ignorance.
Are there new owners or something? The meals we had there recently is nothing like what you see in those photos. The fish looked as though it was pre frozen and battered, like they went to the grocery store and bought a package that they threw into some hot oil for a few minutes. To top it off, both of us had severe gut issues the next day, to put it mildly. Will NOT be eating there again. You can get better fish and chips at Joey's, or Kelly Obrians that won't make you sick.
Best fish and chips ever! The batter to fish ratio is perfect and it's not soaked in grease like many other places. Super friendly staff and awesome service.
Meal type
Good food and service. Good prices, even better with the coupon from the morning star newspaper.
Meal type
Great authentic fish and chips comparable to any good ones you'd find in the UK. The salmon was fab.
Took the whole family and by far the best Fish and Chips in our area for sure. Lightly battered, big pieces of halibut and big fries. Tartar sauce I believe was homemade, coleslaw as the added touch. Awesome.
Great service , top notch halibut with very light batter , and delicious crispy golden fries. Even the tartar sauce - fresh out the cooler -was very good. We will definitely be back.
Good fish & chips , not oily
Quick friendly service. We ordered take out. My fish was great! Authentic and affordable. Light batter with real fries! First time here and we will definitely be back. Yum!
