This Fish Shop is classified in the category of Restaurant.
It's good fish and chips, we had pickerel (walleye) best in Canada no, but nice fish, good value for money, not greasy, not over battered and really yummy. Packaged tar tar sauce was a disappointment and nice fries (as good as five guys). Nuff said with it to check it out
Tasty fish and chips. We used to fly there from CTA4 in a group of planes, for dinner there.
Freshest fish ever. Lovely spot to eat.
Simply WoW....
The fish was amazing ..had seconds it was that good
Best fish and chips I've ever had! If you're in Killarney you must visit this place.
The place to go if you love fish and chips!
Best Fish and Chips Anywhere I work with a small Coast Guard buoy tender, Caribou Isle, and we always make …
Great fish and chips and a dog friendly outdoor sitting area on the dock.
Fast service and great food
Best fish and chips
Pretty fantastic fish and chips!
I'm English, I've eaten tonnes of fish 'n' chips in my lifetime and these are really good!
Fast and fresh!!
Great food, quick service, lovely people. It's a small restaurant, where we chose to sit outside by the water. The food is amazing and very fresh.
Fantastic fish and chips, must stop if in Killarney
Way too expensive and not much taste to the fish too bad it used to be good and fairly priced.
Best fish and chips in Canada. Hands down. When you do make it here don't forget to get some trout. It melts in your mouth. The lightest batter ever. It's airy and light and crunchy. It has been rated one of the top ten in Canada for a reason. And it's evident when you eat that fish. I would eat this everyday if I was close to them. I have eaten at many a fish and chip places and this is the best.
Really good. Friendly and a great location... But skimpy on the fries.
Tasty fish and chips
Amazing Fish & Chips.
Lightly dusted fish, not covered in batter. Very good. And reasonably priced. Fast service. Really enjoyed it.
Fantastic people, delicious food and great atmosphere!
Excellent fish and chips. Friendly staff. The only place I will buy fish and chips east of Vancouver.
The fish is incredibly fresh and very lightly battered, which lets the natural flavour come through and makes me feel better about having the fries that come on the side. A bit pricey, but you have to try it out if you're in the area.
slow service
Good loxally caught fish. Good helpings. Not heavy on the batter so fresh taste if fish is prominent. Overlooks Killarney harbour. Not a very personable place.
Well the best fish I eat from a long time
Best fish in the world, but I'm biased as my Uncle Bert Herbert started this fish and chip stand
Expensive, but delicious
Service
Great place to eat fish...and to tell you the truth, I don't like to eat fish at all. I actually tried a piece and it didn't taste fishy at all. I was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting to eat the poutine I bought for supper that night...instead, I surprised myself and ate the fresh (1 day ago caught) fish. We ordered the 12 piece pack for the 4 of us knowing that 3 (not me) of us were going to eat it as their suggestion was 3-4 pcs per person. We ended up bringing some leftovers home as their per pcs portions were a bit larger than we thought. Hours online were a bit off. They closed that day at 7:30pm. Thanks

Easy choice to stop here while in the area. Don't miss out on the fish, it's amazing
Yummy ????
Don't visit Killarney and not do this!!
Great fish and chips
Best fish and chips ever
Hit and miss here depending on the fish caught that day and the attitude of the servers, been there 4 times, twice had great fish (once it was probably the best fish and chips I have ever had) but went again twice and it was just average dry fish. Servers are also inconsistent, my niece went for a poutine and was rudely told to go outside and get it.
The absolute worst fish and chips I have ever had in my life. No salt. Batter was thin and soggy. Chips were not good at all. On top of all that it was wayyy overpriced ! Even forgot my tartar sauce. Should’ve taken warning when it was not busy at all. Wouldn’t recommend to even my worst enemies.
Great fish and chips and a short wait. Great if you fly in to the airport close
Such great food
Best fish and chips
Big portion sizes, excellent taste. Worth the reputation
The food overpriced and not great. The fish was very dry and the fries were soggy with oil and dry in the center. The coleslaw had no flavour. Also being take-out no cutlery or napkins were supplied. The experience of ordering was also lack-luster, we asked which fish could be recommended and were given no opinion. This restaurant serves one type of meal and it flopped like a fish out of water.
They give way more fish than fries. This is not a complaint.
Establishment is nothing fancy but neither is the one out in the middle of Georgian Bay. However, very clean, lots of tables for large groups, great service and as always amazing fish. Very happy to find consistency in product whether here in Sudbury, Midland ON or on Georgian Bay. Sudbury Menu - Limited to Fish and Chips, Coleslaw Meals with different types of fish options. They also just sell fish cooked individually, as well as uncooked to take home.
This place is a real gem and a must visit if you're in the area and like quality fish and chips.
The fish n fries were yummy!!! Worth the trip!!!
Good food and fast service. Parking for cars and boats.
It's been over 7 years since the last visit. And while the bus is gone the high quality fish just keeps coming out the door. Nice to see the tradition continue.
Good food, fresh fish, tasty coleslaw.
Yummy
Great fish
Thank you for opening due the Covid-19.
Pretty good fish and chips, but during busy times the wait can be more than half an hour.
Fun
Made a pit stop here on the route home after a weekend at Killarney. Fast and efficient service with such friendly staff. The fish is cooked perfectly, with a thinly coated layer of batter that was still so crispy. The freshly cut fries …
I was looking forward to the meal very much... I've paid 20$ for dry, most definitely reheated fish... Really disappointed. Money isn't the issue, the food really is. Food is experience. The place claims fresh fish and that was the only expectation. Very disappointed. I liked the service though.
Great food, wonderful outdoor atmosphere, priced bit high for fish n' chips
Good food and pretty darn quick
Good fish and chips at the harbour edge. That's all they do. That's all they need to do.
Blow you mind good. Best fish an chips in the world.
Meal type
The BEST fish and chips ever!
Great fish :)
Real fish and chips here. This means the fish is fresh out of the water and ony dusted rather than battered. The fries are crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. People who like fast food from the big chains may not fall in love with …
The food was great. We got here at their closing time (the opening time was off :D ) and they still served us.
Decently priced, crispy batter
Love the fresh fish and great chips - it is really popular and does have some wait time so if you are in a rush, not the best place to eat at.
Very expensive for fish and chips, was told it was the best in Ontario, places in Tobermory are more reasonable and tastier.
I think this get claimed a lot, but I think this is the best fish and chips in the province. Fresh fish pulled from the lake daily, crispy batter, hot fries... what more can you ask for?
Delicious fish and chips, and you can buy fresh fish to take home and cook yourself which tastes amazing too.
Fish fried to perfection. Only thing that would have been better is homemade, non-Kraft tartar sauce. Good stuff, especially after a day of hiking.
Far and busy, but 100% worth it! The fish is phenomenal and the chips are great too.
It's Herbert's, c'mon. The place is iconic in the area, and its reputation is well deserved. If you're in Killarney, do yourself a favour and stop by
Delicious! Friendly! Quaint!
Amazing fresh caught fish.
Lunch
The best fish & chips
Best fish and chips I've ever had!
This was the absolute WORST fish and chips my husband and I ever had. The taste of the fish was so so strong it almost turned our stomach. We couldn’t finish it. Not sure what kind of fish they serve but there was some orange colour pieces that we couldn’t identify. And it was so expensive ($20 plus tax for 3-4 small pieces) Never going back there and I DO NOT recommend that place to anyone.
Great Fish and Chips!
Great fish
Hate to be that person but... I visited this place last weekend with friends and the fish & chips were amazing as always. However, not a single staff member was wearing a mask in the kitchen and the server wasn’t wearing hers properly either. I didn’t realize this until I went into the building to order a drink. I know killarney is a small town and the risk may seem low but tons of tourists go there and this was very unprofessional and unsafe in my opinion!
Light batter, fresh caught fish. Great for a local lunch.
If you are in Killarney you must have their fish. Fresh fresh fresh
Enjoy fish, nicely cook, little bit oily
(I haven’t had much fish and chips previously but...) it was the best I’ve ever had! Fish was delicious, with a delicate batter. The staff weren’t overly enthusiastic but the food and location are perfect. Mind you, if you’re looking for anything besides fish and chips, better go else where - that’s all they serve but it’s top notch. Perfect to top off a trip to Killarney Provincial Park.
Great place to eat locally caught fish.
The best fish chips.
I don't eat fish, but I throughly enjoyed it. Great tasting fish. I would have it again.
The quality of the fish and chips is superb. Nice outdoor seating area along the channel
Love the food here! Best fish and chips ever!
This place is amazing!!! If go to Killarney you have to stop by at Herbert’s Fisheries.
Very good food
Mar 22 / 2021 fish tasted good but VARRY disappointed at tiny portion size. Defiantly will not make a return visit.
Went here for the first time, we were excited when we found out they have pickerel dish and chips. The fish and chips had to be one of the best I’ve had...the pickerel filets were …
Always stop here after a hike in Killarney, great fresh whitefish, decent prices for lunch. Highly recommended.
(Translated) The best fish and chips in the Georgian Bay. The best I've tasted outside of Louisiana. (Original) The best fish and chips in the Georgien Bay. Le meilleur que j'ai goûté en dehors de la Louisiane.
Great food. The fish ...is very well done. It isn't too greasy or too much batter. What I loved about it most was that the fish is fresh... they cook what is fished that morning. Way to go. Also the nice thing is they have a nice dock that you can sit on to enjoy the view.
Food was excellent but you definitely pay for it. Also, the beer prices were excessive considering there's an LCBO next door ;) Lose one star due to price gouging.
Great food but it is quite expensive. For for people we paid around $100 and not everyone had fish and chips.
Wonderful fish. Miss the old bus...
Amazing fish and chips best in Ontario
Dinner
Fish n ships are great
Great food and in a nice little spot near the water!
Kinda expensive for what you get. Not all the fries were cooked through. Odd outdoor setup. But overall great food.
Best fish and chips with friendly staff and patrons.
Meal type
Kind of expensive but worth it! Great fish and chips
Really good white fish,friendly staff
Not the same fish as herberts in killarney.. Tasting much different...soggy and tasteless.
Fish was good. Place could use a good cleaning. Sticky floor, tables. Had to pay for an extra tarter sauce ????.
Not much competition in the small town so everybody eat there. Food is average, sitting area is a bit too small.
Best Fish and chips ever. Don’t Miss it.
Fresh fish and great fries. Killarney is a great little town and worth the drive. A definite must do if your in the area.
This fish is the best no complicated menu here if you want great fish and chips this is for you
Herbert Fisheries serves the best Fish & Chips in Sudbury. I can’t even described how good this place is. It’s so fresh, the fries are amazing, their gravy is even delicious too. The prices are incredibly fair and even their coleslaw is great. Please give this location a try, Herbert Fisheries is a place that really deserves more love.
BEST FISH EVER!!!! Great food, great service; always make time when in town.
RUDE staff. Only one choice of fish. We pay for service not bad customer service
Nice little place to eat. Food was fresh and quick. Nice basket of fish and chips and it was right on the water with a view of the river. Great around sunset.
Good fish
Eat here. Just do it.
Absolutely the best fish and chips in Ontario. Well worth the drive. Fish always fresh caught everyday, this is a must go to
Supposed to be good fish and chips but the fish was cut into thin strips and was consequently dry. And they chips were floury. Not recommended.
Good fish and chips, overpriced and too much hype.
Love it
The fish quality was great. Prices for something local overpriced, but it's the only place to kind of eat in the town.
Fish was excellent, just the perfect food after a camping trip to Killarney.
Great food and the couple who run the place are very friendly. The owner Ross is a nice man very friendly.
Awesome fish and chips!
Amazing fresh fish, pretty good fries. Lots of seating. Not too expensive, especially for what your buying. When I went there was a half hour wait, but the food came out delicious and hot. Must go if your in the area.
Small portion s
yummy
After driving down highway 637 the reward is this restaurant. The highway is not in great shape so be warned. We've heard about the best fish & chip place and I would agree with others that the fish really is great. The fish was very fresh and tasty but the coleslaw was bland so I wouldn't bother getting it next time. Fries were just ok. A bit pricey for the larger meal $20 and really isn't that much bigger than the small order $12 -- but very good nonetheless. Restaurant server wasn't the friendliest and maybe she was having a bad day. Eating outside by the marina was really nice and the ambiance perfect. ! We would go again definitely, if the highway wasn't so bad however, we are glad that we finally tried this place.
It's a family ran business they have been here since the beginning and catches there own fish its a fabulous place to eat and family based and you can even see the boat they catch with
Been going there for years and it's still good. The fish is fresh right on the dock. Great fries.
Food is good, but pricey. The should review the prices or upgrade the place for the price they charge. Our lunch for 5 was over $120
Fish was so fresh and delicious. Fair prices and good portions! It was pretty busy when we went but they have lots of outdoor seating!
Fresh fish, fresh cut fries!
Amazing fish,great service!
Food was awsome...wait was long but worth it...I'll be back! ????
I came all the way from Toronto because a friend who works at MEC recommended this fish and chips restaurant. It was worth the 4 hour drive. I had two pieces of fish & poutine, it was really really good.
Really good Fish, we enjoyed it
Best fish I've ever had without a doubt
From the old bus stand it is now a great sit down restaurant, but I still recommend eating on the dock with the otters. Best fresh caught fish & chips in Ontario
Worth the drive from Sudbury. PERFECT day trip!!!
The best fish and chips I've ever tasted yummy
A very busy place but awsome fish and chips.
Good fish and chips. The two piece fish and chips was Lake whitefish and Lake trout. Nice view out the windows, or sit at the outdoor seating on the docks.
Delicious!
Best fish and chips!
Everything was absolutely phenomenal, best Fish and Chips around! 1/5 for killing my dog.
If not world famous fish and chips, it should be.
Herbert's is a 10 minute drive from Killarney Provincial Park and is a must try. Fries are nice and crispy and fish are battered perfectly and cooked till crispy yet still moist. Super friendly staff and great service.
Fantastic fish and chips. The pickerel was amazing. Best I've ever had. Small selection of local brews, great service.
Greatest fish and chip in the area! The restaurant is now located in a brand new building and has wondeful views of the narrows and docks. A great experience for the whole family. We make a yearly trip down to enjoy their great food and atmosphere!
Very displeased to day paid 80.00 for deep fried butterflied smelts and cooled fries.I tough we were getting Whitefish. Suggestion ; ask what kind of fish , before ordering ....
Miss the old bus But same amazing fish and chips Plus beer now :) new dine in bar is fabulous Thanks
Not impressed
Great place to grab fish and chips after a full day in Killarney Provincial Park. Relax on the dock in the marina, take in the gorgeous water views, walk up and down the channel... Just gorgeous. Why not 5 star? Beverages. Very, very pricey drinks. If you want to grab a beer to go with your fish and chips, hit up the LCBO just a few steps away.
I spent over 50$ at this place to get home and throw it out, was the most over cooked rubbery excuse for a fillet of fish I’ve ever seen never again
This could be the best fish and chips you will ever have - almost. Fresh caught local fish, pickerel, smelt etc, cooked to perfection in a great batter with moist fries, the only thing that would make this better is fresh made tartar sauce and lemon wedges.
Great fish
Met by a friendly waitress. The menu is to the point. Ordered the Adult Fish and Chips. Just amazing. The fish is lightly battered and the fries were old school with the skin still on. I would recommend this place to all fish lovers!
Amazing food and you get lots of it, super super fresh!
You gatta try the fish and chips at Herbert's in Killarney! It's right on the water and it's World class for real. We came 20 minutes after closing time on Sunday, and instead of telling us sorry we are closed, big boss Ross was there to take care of us with some of the best whitefish we have ever tried, mind you we are from Croatia : ) Great food, low prices, friendly and funny!
Decent fish and chips, certainly the best lunch spot in town.
Nothing beats Fish & Chips on the docks after a hike in the park!
Great food and location. Nice to have the restaurant now.
Fresh fish!
Yum..that is all
Fresh lightly fried fish fillets. Fresh lightly fried fish fillets. Fresh lightly fried fish fillets.
There is nothing that beats battered fish off of the dock at Killarney
Sadly not that great. After coming in from camping to buy some medicine, we decided to stay for lunch and Herbert's. Pretty expensive, but I get that given the location. The fish was bland and dry. Smaller pieces that are pretty thin. Batter was nice but lacked any flavour. The French fries tasted as if they had been thawed then frozen then thawed out again. Staff was alright and the establishment was clean. I think the biggest turn off was receiving a single packet of Kraft Tatar sauce with the meal. For "world famous" it sure drops the bar as anything special. If you've had fish and chips before, skip this place.
Good food :-)
Killarney's most famous fish and chips finally makes it to Sudbury.
Excellent pickerel dinner.
Best fish and chips in town.
Delicious!!!!
Very nice. Light batter, wasn't too heavy!
Exactly what you expect, good and fresh fish and chips right on the water.
We are doing the Great American Loop and since we entered Canada we have been eating fish and chips in almost every town. Some are good some are just OK. Some are very famous, like Henry’s in Sans Souci. And then there is Herbert Fisheries: in the middle of nowhere, completely unpretentious restaurant, with the best fish!!! The fried fish is not really battered but what I would call “dusted in flour”; that way you can really taste the fish. It is so fresh and tasty. They have a fishing boat that goes out every day and brings local fresh fish. It is wonderful that they sell the fish by the piece, or in meals. You can seat indoors or outdoors, or you can get the fish for takeout. They also sell beer and wine, limited selection though.
Tasty food, but not super cheap. On a sunny day, it's soooo pleasant to eat fish and chips by the water (preferably after a hike in Killarney!)
Best fish and chips anywhere.
Excellent fish and chips, well known by locals and visitors for years.
Delicious fish and chips, fairly priced. Great location and parking
Mmmmmm mm
Great place for a real fish n chip dinner not fake fish, real fish from killarney . So delicious and worth every bite too
Fish very good, view awesome, wish they had some decent craft beers
Good, the bad, and the ugly on Fri Jul 5 FIRST: Most of the reviews and the photos here are incorrect. They are for the other original location in Killarney. This location is in a dingy land locked strip mall plaza NOT near water with no exterior seating. NOT the quaint free standing building shown in some photos. GOOD: The fish was GREAT! We came here because local trout and pickerel are the fish they use, not haddock or halibut like you usually find. Lots of smaller pieces lightly battered. Decent amount of fresh cut french fries. BAD: Sticky tables and slow service. Was told 20 min, but ended up being 40. I don’t mind being told it’s going to be longer for fresh made, but let’s be honest. It would be better if they actually outlined on the menu what type of fish you were going to get, since people typically expect halibut. Location and decor are poor. Prices are also much higher than average. UGLY: So this is what destroyed our experience. I split open two different pieces of fish and brought them up to the cash to ask the guy what type of fish each of these were. He proceeds to pick it up and poke each one while telling me what they are. This is right after handling the cash!!! I was shocked! Now if that’s what he did, I was worried what things were like in the back. Let’s hope the cook’s hygiene was better. This is why I hate tipping at the cash when you first purchase.
Restaurant needs a total update inside! Very unprofessional with homemade written signage. Tables were sticky and not clean, they could not provide full meal. They ran out of coleslaw and fish was dry.
Fish & Chips for real!!! Good for an informal meal, all good.
Amazing fish, been coming here for 20+ years from Toronto ! They have fresh caught fish, also you can get fillets packed to take home . After eating here , I never get fish from anywhere else ! Great family owned business.
Fine. Just didn't find it worth the drive if it's the only reason your going.
Yummy!
Still the best fish and chips in the north and the scenery is spectacular.
Excellent friendly service, food was fantastic.
Best fish and chips ever.
Great fish'n'Chips, nice and helpful people
Amazing fish & chips
Fish and chips were really good but the staff were very ignorant and moody. The staff totally ruined the experience of visiting Kalarney.
Don’t call yourself world famous if you’re going to serve a packet of Heinz tarter sauce with fish and chips... what an embarrassment.
(Translated) One of my best Fish & ships! A light breading to keep the taste of fish, homemade fries (which could be a little more crisp) choose the number of pieces of fish you want or take an adult or child menu. And for beer lovers, Alexander Keith on tap or many other brands including Guinness and even the local Saturday Night Cream Ale. Treat yourself well (Original) Un de mes meilleurs Fish & ships!
limited menu and expensive but service is quick and the quality was good. the day I went they had pickerel which beats halibut or haddock any day.
Great fish and friendly
There is no better fish and chips. Period
Very friendly! Some of the freshest fish I ever had
Good fish
Absolutely disgusting rude service nobody is following covid-19 guidelines, I called yesterday to place an order and they still got it wrong nobody to service me, owner is extremely rude I will not be returning and I hope you don't either.
Wonderful place to eat and great view sitting beside the water
People come from around the world just for the fish and chips at Herbert Fisheries (and maybe the surrounding views ????.) I wasn't let down.
Some of the best fish & chips in town but somewhat pricey at $20+/adult
Best fries from a fish and chip place ive had.
Amazing food, 10 out of 10 definitely recommend
There seem to be a lot of glowing reviews here, but I am wondering how many of these people have ever had good fish and chips? I am sorry, but for a fish and chip place to not have home made tartar sauce and instead serve kraft tartar sauce is an embarrassment. My local pub makes their own tartar sauce, it is not difficult. It was also fairly expensive for what you got, but I can let that slide due to location. The chips were bland , but weren't awful. Still I expect much better for a "world famous". I will not be returning again.
The fish here was so delicious! Nice thin breading not too greasy. You can't beat freshly caught fish.
Wicked fish!
Great fish amazing fresh but pricey, worth the drive not the price
Worst fish and chips I’ve ever had. Fish was super soggy and flavourless. Fries also lacked serious salt. The gravy also was chunky and tasted weird. The tartar sauce was just little kraft packets which was very disappointing. I was hoping to taste some authentic made from scratch tartar sauce not something I can buy at the grocery store. The only good thing about this meal was the coleslaw, which was decent but nothing special. Very disappointed in the quality of their food and will not be ordering from here again. I do not usually leave google reviews on restaurants but I was so dissatisfied I needed to share it in hopes that no one else makes the same mistake I did by ordering from here.
Definitely pricey.. Only fish n chips available! Good location.. Adjacent to LCBO.. Slow service.. Once is enough..
Great fish and chips. I went there 2 nights in a row. Fish on the dock should be on your bucket list.
Hevrey time very good best fish in ontario no doubt
Fresh fish everyday.
A post hike tradition.
Good fish. Good fries. Not sure if the coleslaw was home maid or not. Very clean .
Excellent fish and chips! Always!! They remember you and cook your food fresh. I love fish and have tred lots of fish and chips, but in the words of Sinead O'Connor, NOTHING COMPARES!
Great fish and chips!
Real fish not frozen. It was excellent.
Huge portions with great tasting fish!
Nothing to do with world famous claim.
Poor quality, overpriced , and terrible service. Half an hour waiting when the restaurant wasn’t busy, no fork, no napkins no nothing. Isnt inedible, but overall is bad. I don’t recommend.
Good fish
What an experience. Stopped by on Saturday the July 18 at about 3:30. Ordered a 2 piece with fries and 2 piece with no fries. No one else in the place seating blocked of and told I had to wait outside for my order. Fish was dry and fries where burnt to a chrisp. Never again.
Decided to drive across town to try out this “world famous fish and chips” . Walked in with my mask on noticed that no employees were wearing a mask. After I ordered I was told I had to wait outside meanwhile there was 2 other people sitting down inside eating. I get my order which was almost 14 bucks for a 2 piece which was really 1 fillet cut in half. The fish was mushy. Fries had no salt or pepper tasted like canola oil. Meal didn’t come with a fork. No ketchup no vinegar. No salt no pepper. No pop. No napkins. Only 1 tiny tarter sauce and A tiny cup half filled with tasteless coleslaw that I had to eat with no fork. Honestly I found it wierd that the place was empty but now I realize why.. this place is simply garbage ripoff . I left hungry and upset
Best fish and chips!
Real food
Best fish and chips in the world
Nice that the fish is local and fresh. The fries are good and they leave the skin on which increases the "potato-ey' flavour. Some people don't like the texture as much though.
Vest fish and service
It was good and a great atmosphere outside. People complain about the price but it's super fresh fish and chips, get what you pay for.
So. Good. If you're in town Herbert's a must.
World famous fish and chips
Great as always. Always bring out of town company there.
Fast service little greasy but tasty
Amazing fish and chips...
Herbert's is the best fish and chips I have ever had. The staff is quick and friendly, and the whitefish's flakey, wonderful texture melts in the mouth. Skip the plane to Britain, Killarney is home of the best fish and chips.
Food always fresh .caught daily. Fresh cut fries too. Portions seem to have gotten smaller as it has gotten popular.
There is nothing better than going to Herbert Fisheries after a long hike on one of Killarney's many scenic trails. Although the fish and chip meals are a little pricey it is really worth it. No trip to Killarney is complete without a trip for fish and chips.
Fresh fried Perch in a light crispy batter. Friendly staff and. draft beer. Agreat place to rake the family.
Know the family personally my family is killarney born and raised everything there is awsome the wait time for food is long but it's because of the fresh product
Very good food, served hot and fresh. Very friendly staff.will definitely come back
Food is amazing! Best fish around!
Shout out to the staff, today (Good Friday) You guys rocked it! Yes you were running behind and we had to wait but all you managed the keep your calm and get I done! Well worth wait as always!
It's worth the long drive just for the good fish
Amazing food. Fish is caught fresh and prepared at the resturant. I am not a big fish person, but their fish and chips is amazing.
World's best fish and chips.
Great service. Delicious fish and chips!
Now world famous by my standards
Service was great...fish was as expected, fries were sparse and gravy was discusting
Bought some fish from Herbert more than once . What a great service , attitude and freshness of fish...all day long ,every day !!! We are so lucky to have family like them in the north to feed us with clean Georgian Bay fish. Not from Chinese fish farms !!!! A1> Can't believe some customers are stuck in their fake coverings. Count your blessings!
Food is amazing!!!!Fish fish fish but not selfish;-)
Decent food
Best Fish & Chips in town!
I wasn't really impressed by this place. The fish was dry and prices were thin. The thing that got me the most was the craft tartar sauce. Legit fish and chip joints need to make their own sauce. That's fish and chips 101
Food was great price was a little higher but I liked the experience and area
Fresh fish
Fish was so light and crispy, fries were cooked to perfection.
Fish was chewey. I ordered the 3 to 4 piece adult meal $20. Fries were alright. I'll wait for Killarney to open up.
Take out
Aw service and food
Good fish and cheap beer
Excellent fish and chips
Not great or friendly service - seems overpriced and the fish was pretty bland and overcooked
Food is excellent so is service, I think price is good too but I was tricked by the photo to think this is by the water/Lake and thought it would be a nice scenery but nothing like that, should have checked the geography of the location before visit, but still a good place for food
First time at this place. Ordered fish and chips to take out. Took 10 minutes to get order - place was empty. Got home 7 minutes later - order was cold. I think they warmed up leftover from lunch. No lemon nothing but a few dried up french fries and cold soggy fish pieces. Will never go back. Do not recommend.
Always up for fresh fish & chips, on the dock when it's hot, or inside when it's not...
Good fish and chips, pretty much the only place in town. Now takes debit and credit. No seating, very slow.
Not impressed. Expensive. Fried fish was blunt and They served me saggy fried chicken. Staff is not smiling. Lots of parking though.
Very good and fresh fish and chips.
The fish we got seamed like it was scraps you don't get white fish you get smelt . It's fish I wouldn't feed my cat. what a waste of money.
Service
Very good place to eat! Thanks to Ross for going the extra mile to helping out a couple of tired Killarney trail hikers on Canada Day.
(Translated) Super good! (Original) Super bon!
Take out hot, lots of fish, delicious
Great fries and friendly staff!
Best Fish and Chips in the world!
Great fish and chips large portions!
For the price wasn't worth it 4 over fried fish and hardly any fries differently not going back
Great food and friendly service
Serving whitefish and smelt today. Great dinner.
We recently visited this establishment on our friend’s recommendation who stated that it is rated in the top 10 fish and chip places. We went there for a special occasion with high expectations. We thought it would be worth the one and half drive to Killarney. It would be great to see the nature and the wildness and enjoy the great food. Wow, were we disappointed. We purchased two pieces of fish each, no comment ont he fries. The pieces of fish were so small and thin. They were curled up like a fishes fin. You could not taste the fish, let alone see it. I am not sure how it got such a high rating. Are these reviews fake news? I have lived in the north all my adult life and this was not good. It was so disappointing. The staff were not helpful at all and quite rude. The young girl was ok, not rude but not once did we feel welcomed. A little smile and a hello, how can we help you would go a long way. You would expect more from such a small community. I guess they feel their supposed reputation will keep them in business. On a positive note, we were not disppointed on the hour and half journey home as we seen a big bear on the side of the road sun tanning. I am glad for that as the journey was not a total waste of time. I would NOT recommend this place.
Quite a disappointing experience. Very expensive for cold fries and poutine soup. I have eaten here before, but sadly, I will not be back.
Very nice lunch, enjoyed pickerel, best we've had in Sudbury!
Every visit to Killarney Park must include a visit to Herbert's for fish and chips. You can sit dockside with the fishing boats and yachts going by. Now with Keith's on tap. Excellent atmosphere.
A bit expensive for what you get
Great price and excellent food. Will definitely come back again and again.
Great staff and great food
Best fish in Ontario thus far. Friendly staff and a few good beers on draught.
Fish & Chip Trip
(Translated) A delight! I tasted my first fish and chips here, and it was really good! Crispy, but soft inside, with a good taste of fish! Very good fries too. My friend who had eaten it elsewhere told me that it was the best he had eaten in his whole life! Obviously we recommend without hesitation!
Glad to hear they're still serving great fish and chips. We were there about 15+ years ago and often talk about our our dining experience. Then on the way back onto the highway we saw a black bear and two cubs!! Wonderful memories.
Stopped in here this past summer and ended up dropping back 3 more times. Fresh fish and chips is the only way to enjoy them and this place does it right!!!!!!!!
