Great place. It’s a semi- formal place with mood lighting, They keep a one page menu, but there is enough variety between fish and other meats, great appetizers. They probably restrict for the quality control, which is very good. Expect to pay in the $30 range for an entree.

Fantastic meal for a reasonable price given the quality. Fresh food and timely professional service. I will gladly return on my next trip to St John's. While I would have preferred a better selection on tap, it's a small sacrifice to enjoy a meal like that again.

10 out of 10... Okay so I was there last night and I take back my review 10 out of 10 is not anymore oh, I'm sure they have a new chef but the food was horrible everything about the place was horrible the place smelled like cat pee when I went in the door and the only thing that got rid of that smell what the smell of ammonia from the rotten fish that they were cooking. Should have turned away then bought the last time it was so great we took our chance. The service was mediocre the food was disgusting and I'll never be back. That's coming from a red seal chef

This cozy place offers a casual atmosphere and friendly service, but really shines in the food. From the somewhat limited menu, you wouldn't guess that their food is much different from other restaurants in the area, but what they offer, they do extremely well, and it was easily some of the best food I've had in St. John's.

We wanted something light so ordered a couple of appies each. Portions were appropriately sized for appies and they were all absolutely delicious. Scallops done to perfection and yam puree was a nice compliment. Scampi was also seasoned and cooked beautifully. The beat salad was filled with lovely flavours and the lobster special a delight on the pallet. Even though we weren't super hungry we had to use the delicious home made bread to soak up all the yummy sauces. Very positive experience and would go again if we lived here!

Seated right away , however drink order took long , they were out of specials only 2 hours after opening. Food took over 1 hour to come and when it arrived .. some of the food was no longer hot . Tasty but wouldn’t go back.

Went with a group of 4 and everyone's food was amazing. They also did an excellent job accommodating gluten allergies and even went so far as to bring a gluten free version of a table appetizer so noone felt left out. The service was fast and friendly and checked in regularly. Overall an excellent experience

Wonderful restaurant in the heart of downtown. Ambiance was lovely, staff was great. Chef was super accomadating, offering almost all menu items gluten free with no worries of cross contamination. Although the food was good pepper and salt grinders were filled with already grinded salt and pepper. Killed my chicken with salt. Atmosphere was cold and not intimate. Happy hour and appetizers discount did not pertain to the dining room. All meals came with mashed potatoes, lamb,chicken,steak. Potatoes,mussels,chicken,seafood,lamb were better than good.

Lovely, quiet place to have dinner. We ordered the chowder, cod tongues, the seafood platter, and the trout. The food was great and the service was amazing. The hostess attended to us right away and our waiter was very nice and talked to us about what we were planning to do while in NL. Great experience
