.....My experience is from back in the day when it was right downtown. I had just bought some ammo and was browsing the accessories. I remembered wanted a set of flip up lens caps for my scope as it was just stored in the broom closet against the wall...like a broom. The lens would collect dust. so I asked this chubby kid working there if they had any....instead of looking it up, collecting the money and ordering it...he decided ridiculing me was the more prudent sales approach.........."going all out on a .22 eh?" ...I just turned and walked out...never to return. I assume this kid was family.....as he was awfully comfortable there. That's no way to sell stuff.

The staff were incredibly friendly and wonderful to talk to for over an hour all about my many questions. I would double check prices against others, as some were marked up significantly (gun case vs. Canadian Tire was 100% mark up on exact same), but there are also some incredible deals (lots of handguns around $500)

My experience as a 1st time customer from out of town was excellent. Dan, the owner put a used shotgun aside for me a day in advance and was helpful and patient as I went over it in detail to make sure it’s what I want and in the condition I want it in. Dan seems very passionate about what he does. The shop was immaculately kept. The price I paid for the used Winchester beat out all the competition and made the drive from Waterloo well worth it. 10/10 for COVID precautions in case you care about that.

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They are the only gun store that have Fausti guns in stock. I stopped there one day on my travels just out of curiosity and low and behold they had Fausti shotguns on the wall rack. I returned 3 weeks later and purchased one. Store is fairly well stocked. Staff have a very basic knowledge of most common firearms, but lack knowledge on many older guns in stock. Repairs seem to be limited to the basics.

I took a friend there to shop for a shotgun. Dan is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and there is NO pressure to buy. He also did a wonderful repair on my 20 gauge O/U. Eli's is a true gem and...my choice for my next gun!

The owner is rude, arrogant and not willing to actually listen when someone is trying to explain something and ask a very small favour of him. I have not done actual business with him and would not do any after my experience with him. If I could give him a negative rating, I would. I'll explain. There are bushes behind his building that he doesn't own but I and a member of an animal rescue group walked down the side of his gun shop, not believing it to be a problem, he came out and right away started giving us attitude. It is his property but when we went in to explain that we were just trying to get to the bush to make sure there were no more abandoned, very young kittens there (I had found 4 at 1am that morning and grabbed them) and if there was, rescue them from the extreme heat earlier this month, and to see if she could set out food and water to trap the young mom and her kitten(s) we spotted just before he came out, he continued to talk over the lady I was with, being very rude and arrogant, showing not even a small amount of respect as she tried to explain and apologize. We didn't know there was another way to get to the bushes until he rudely let us know. Not someone I would want to do business with if he could be that rude over a simple mistake.

Been there once and will never go back. Was looking for something but was told I couldn't see what he had. The owner loves to pick a fight with people. He will keep arguing with you till you leave or stay cause you like to take abuse. Owner is very persistent, he picked a fight with 2 other people while I was there. I Was there about 10-15mins.Wanted to see what guns he had but I couldn't weather the storm any longer. So I headed for the door. I don't care what he has for sale it, doesn't matter How special it may be, rare, or exactly what I want and no one else has it. I will not be going back.
