Very good fish n chips cooked by Jerry. It was hard to find a place open on a Sunday but Jerry's was open and ready to serve. They have a halibut or cod option. Good portion sizes.

Fish and Chips were great, Halibut, with salad. Portion size was fair. Small plaza restaurant, was only customer at the time...4:15 P.M. Quiet, had my choice of any table.

Very welcoming guy. Fish and chips are great. $8.5 for 2 piece cod and chips. They give Cole slaw and tartar sauce. Fries are crispy and portion is good. Served well .

I've been to Jerry's several times. The food is always delicious and fresh. I'm always planning on trying out more of the menu but I usually order the cod & chips. The portions are large and worth the money. Staff are friendly. Restaurant is clean.

Cozy locally owned restaurant with delicious fish and chips and all-day breakfast options. Jerry is actually there cooking your food! The breakfast options are freshly prepared and the fry oil doesnt leave a nasty taste on the food. The cod is a nice sized piece of fish on top of a large serving of fries.

I ordered the fish and chips..... the fries not chips came were simply awful. The batter for the fish was too thick and it made the fish oily. The fish was overcooked and flavorless. Not wroth your time.

Paid $30 for 2 take away Halibut fish & chips. Its was the driest tasteless I ever had. Definitely not the best noted below probably by a family member. Would not recommend.

the food is not bad. but found a strand of hair in my greek salad. its understandable where floors are a bit messy with residues and particles, but it doesnt go in food for crying out loud. not very clean it seems. and also it seems jerry has a comprehension/double checking-clarification issue. i asked for 3 shrimps and a fish fillet, and he gives me 4 boxes of shrimp with so much fries when i didnt even ask for fries or 4 boxes of shrimp. i asked for just 3 shrimps individually. and he solicits more things to be bought like greek salad where the strand of hair was in it and adds so many extras not even asked for probably charged for like coleslaw and hot sauce. didnt even give me the buttered bread i asked for. i ended up buying it all to avoid ruining my day with a hefty confrontation. decided to take the rest home. not going back.

I would like to attach a photo of all the raw batter I mean raw sticky batter we pulled off the cod fish, which was a 1/4 inch thick. There was more batter than fist. Coleslaw was tasteless only cabbage in little lemon, hopeless. Fries ready made fried cooked in rancid oil. 60.00 for 4 orders NEVER EVER NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN. OTHER REVIEWS WERE LIES. *00001 today . you'll be sorry.

1190 Kennedy Rd, Scarborough, ON M1P 2L1 Visited on : 02/28/2018 Located in a strip mall on Kennedy Road between Ellesmere and Lawrence Avenue. Service : 4/5 Nice and friendly service, and there is a “Jerry” in the kitchen. Food & Beverages : 3/5 For dine-in customers they have made in house tartar sauce and for take out they have packet tartar sauce. Tho I wish they provided more tartar sauce for the dine-in. Only had a small portioned amount as shown in the snapshot I've included. I like slathering my golden deep fried fish with tartar sauce. I ordered the dine-in special “2 pieces of Cod & chips” comes with coleslaw and a lemon wedge. I declined the coleslaw since it is made from cabbage and cabbage is a controlled item with managing gout. The cod fish itself was okay, my issue was the salt level in the batter. It was too much salt for my tastes, I had to drench the 2 pieces of cod in malt vinegar to reduce the salty taste. The fries were cut fresh, but seemed a bit to dark in color, leading me to think that the fryer oil had not been changed in some time. They do serve other items as well. Breakfast items, burgers and sandwiches. Value for money spent : this would depend on what you order. For the 2 piece Cod and Chips and say it is fair for what you getting. Potential for repeat visit : Well, since I really don't eat beef anymore due to gout, means no burgers and no steak. The a-la-carte price for the french fries (chips) is a bit higher than I would like, but I have not seen the portioning on the chips order. I might consider dropping by during the morning and see what their breakfast options are like and how the portion size is. Unless the lower the salt in the fish batter, I will likely not be going back for their halibut/cod & chips.

Loved the place, staff was really helpful and supportive. Very close to Kennedy road. Enjoyed the steak and the burger. It has an oceanic theme with lots pics of fishes and docks. Once you enter you feel you are in a different world all together.

The first time I came here it was great, but as I went more often found there was hair in my food a few times, old oil was being used for the fries, and bones found in my halibut. Won't be coming back here again. Only good thing is the prices

Excellent food. Giant portion. Fish fried to perfection. The man who seated us was also the waiter and cook. He was fantastic. Extra personable with my daughter. Loved every minute of my experience.

Went to try this place out with my father. It was great food, fast service and such an affordable price! nice pile of fries with a big piece of halibut for only 12$. I will definitely return as it is a really good fish and chips place and one of the cheapest in Scarborough.
