I ordered fish and chips ( halibut ), that's not what I got! If you're going to advertise halibut then that's what you should serve. Very sneaky and deceptive. I know my halibut fish and that definitely was NOT!! Besides the imitation halibut, it was EXTREMELY greasy. I do not recommend this place to anyone, ever!

This is one of the most truly cozy mom and pop restaurants in Toronto. The ambience is perfect and doesn't have the artificial tag off authenticity which most other family owned restaurants purport. The fact that only cash is accepted here is a proof to this. And as far as the seafood and the souvlaki are considered, the fish and chips is worth every cent. Made fresh and with care, the service is more personal than anywhere else in Toronto.

This is my favourite place in the city for anything delicious. They have by far the best fish and chips but I love their pork souvkali and cheeseburger too. It's a family run restaurant and you really get that feeling when you're here. Sometimes their daughters help out and they're the cutest. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and even better prices.

I've been coming here since I can remember. It's a well known diner for people in the area. The staff is really nice to customers. I used to come here a lot after school to grab a quick bite with friends in elementary. The food is cheap enough where an elementary student can muster up enough money to get food. As well, the food is worth the money in my opinion. Especially the breakfast. 4.99 For a basic breakfast with eggs, meat, and toast. It's hard to not enjoy a cheap meal like that.

Only problem is they only take cash, but I like that it gives me an almost old school feel. They're also really nice to their customers..although there is a funky smell when you first walk in..

First the special is $5.99 And never order the French toast sent it back twice and it was worse each time first itcwas burnt on the outside and not cooked through second wasnt cooked at all and greasy we walked out never going back stick with Ted's way better portions as well price and they know how to cook !!!!!

LEGITIMATELY THE BEST FISH AND CHIPS IN THE ENTIRE GTA! Blows Heritage out of the water, places like Kelseys, Montanas etc., NOT EVEN CLOSE! They have multiple portion sizes, all of their food is so good, and very fairly priced. The washrooms are downstairs, and a bit tedious to go and come, but foodwise you will NOT go wrong!

I have been going to this place my whole life. In the 80s and 90s, it was Christopher's Charcoal Pit. Anyone who grew up in the area would look at this restaurant as an institution- especially if you lived in the Curran Hall-Cedar Ridge area. The have not changed it much over the years. I come for the nostalgia, and also the great food. Burgers and Fish and Chips are as good as anywhere in the city.

Not good, don't bother getting the Fish N Chips here, this has to be the 2nd worst Fish N Chips I had in Toronto along side B & B Fish N Chips on Queen Street. The batter used to fry the fish was not good and the fries were not crispy. Coleslaw was served to me in a coffee cup, like seriously? Also coleslaw tasted weird and smelled funny. I also didn't receive a fork with my order so I had to eat with my hands. Will never be coming back here under and circumstances.

Now this is special for all you lover's of fish&chips. I used to live close by and once l found this place WOW!! Not only is it delicious but they give you so much on your plate its Amazing! Now we're talking Halibut now and for approx. $10 you get 4 pieces of fish. And lm talking nice chunky pieces l would say at least twice as much as anywhere else at half the price. Along with a mountain of fries they put an oversize onion as a beautiful halo on top. I am originally from B.C. so l know fish and chips. Its right at Lawrence and Scarborough golf club road. Its the best deal in the G.T.A. and everywhere else lve been. Try it once and you will never go anywhere else for this dish.my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

This place has been here forever and is truly a hidden gem. $5.99 breakfast special. You can't wrong with that. Also love the fact they still serve the old school dollar chip potatoes. 2 people for breakfast and it cost less than $20. Definitely a bargain

Love this place, use to go there all the time when I was in elementary school across the way (St. Barbara's) got me the poutine at the time I believe it was 3.00$ for a pop and large poutine, back in early 2000's..was 13 years old then, now 31, moved out of Toronto, but ALWAYS make a special trip to aunt Mary's when I'm in town. Would recommend this place to anyone that loves a greasy spoon diner type setting, it's the best. Keep on rocking in the free world!

Had a great breakfast here! Love the special for $4.99, 3 eggs 3 sausage 2 pieces of toast and potatoes ! Drink was not included so I just got water instead. The service was friendly and polite from the time we entered and sat down (went to the cash, said we were eating in and a waitress seated us immediately). The vibes are cute here and it's quiet and comfortable (we came around 10am). Takeout is also available here! Overall would recommend for a relaxing breakfast. Tip before coming, it is cash only so bring cash!
