As an out of town guest I make a point of eating at North 82 every time I am in Sault Ste Marie. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The food was amazing. My husband had steak, fries, vegetables, and a house salad. I had chicken souvlaki, vegetables, rice pilaf, and a Caesar salad. The portions were generous. The rice pilaf was perfection, the chicken moist and delicious, the steak was melt in your mouth, the vegetables were cooked to that perfect point of firmness, salads were delicious (my only complaint would be the lack of bacon in my Caesar salad).

The food here was terrible. My fish was so overcooked and my hubbys chicken had no taste and the consistency of rubber. We had never been there before and will definitely never go again. You would think that a place that charges so much for meals that they could hire a good cook. No stars from us.

Always excellent service and food. It is pricey but worth it. Highly recommend the filet mignon with mashed potatoes. Their mashed potatoes are whipped with a hint of garlic, sautéed mushrooms and real butter. My wife usually gets the baked tortellini. It always is excellent. Tonight we tried their specialty coffees and loved them!! Will certainly be going back.

Delicious supper tonight. I grew up in a Greek restaurant. I was very excited to come for the souvlaki this evening. And it was def worth the visit. Stating facts from my visit with the family yesterday; -Server said she would bring over a pitcher of water (that pitcher of water arrived as we were paying for our bill). -The rice that came with the chicken souvlaki was very salty. -Super stale hot dog bun for a kids meal, asked to get a new bun, took literally 10 minutes to receive. Other people at our table had finished eating by that time. -Asked for an additional grilled cheese as one of our kids was still hungry, but was served a whole additional kids meal. There was only one other table dining so we honestly have no idea why service took longer than it should have.

Service was good, but food was just mediocre. I had the ribeye steak cooked medium - it was cooked properly but no char as you’d expect from a steakhouse. The rest of my party had a worse experience. The fries seemed like the frozen Cavendish fries from Costco and our bread was not refilled at all. For the price I expected a bit more.

I was visiting from out of town and found this restaurant on line while I search for restaurants near me. The menu look great and the reviews supported it so so I gave it a shot. I ordered steak and potatoes and my steak was prepared to perfection. The waitress was friendly and the food preparation was in a timely fashion. What I really liked was the Ambiance within the restaurant it's a very inviting casual yet Pleasant. I would definitely go back and plan to try other things on their menu.

Absolutely will not go back. Took my Grandma for her 85th birthday on New Years Day (also 1st in over 60 years without my grandfather), prices were increased by a ton and had a reduced menu without being notified when we called for a reservation. Price of 10oz prime rib (what my grandma wanted) is regular 42.95, they had it priced up to 55.95. Wait staff was friendly and the food was okay, but they completely ripped us off. Here's an idea, don't open on New years day. Save yourself the time and money and don't eat here.

Been here a couple times now and I consistently have a great dining experience with my friends. I usually get the Primerib steak and they knock it out of the park every time! I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a proper meal in the area. I ordered calamari with my take-out steak meal tonight. When I got back to the hotel, I noticed oil at the bottom of the plastic bag. When I opened up my meal, I noticed burn holes through the foam container of my calamari. I called and spoke to Lydia (sp?). Not only did she apologize immediately, but she even delivered me a new calamari at my hotel!! Talk about customer service!!! Btw, my medium rare NY striploin steak was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious!

I have to say, I went here with my daughter and in choosing this place, we did it because my daughter loves steak. We ordered and waited for an hour for our food to come. The steak tasted great, but I had the catch if the day (whitefish) and it was very bland. My daughter’s fries were not that great and the veggies and mashed potoatoes were just OK. For a pricey restaurant, it did not deliver. And when I talked about my concern with the fish and our wait time, I simply got a “I know” and minor apology from the waitress. Nothing more than that. Anyway, I think there are far better choices to consider.

Just ordered our anniversary dinner from north 82... as always was so delicious with fantastic customer service... mike even delivered to us personally cuz his delivery driver was late!! Simply Wow!!! The food was delicious and my pina coladas was made perfect ❤️ The service was what shine the most, Barbara had full tables (busy) and she still was able to please everyone. We met a wonderful man (Nick) walking around making sure everyone was happy ???? I definitely recommend this place to anyone of any age. They make you feel Welcome and you leave with a smile.

Dinner was amazing! I was craving chicken souvlaki and, as the only restaurant that offers Greek fare, I went here. We had saganaki (I think that's what it's called - the 'flaming cheese') and wow, it was amazing! The Greek salad was fantastic, the dressing was so delicious. The chicken souvlaki was out of this world delicious. I couldn't finish it, so I took some home for lunch the next day, and it was just as good! The service was fantastic as well! I will be back!! ????

We had a fantastic dinner for 2 on a Monday night (August, 11th, 2014). The mashed potatoes reminded me my mother's (French and farm) delicious food. The filet mignon with bacon was die for. And my boyfriend made me try his lobster... Wonderful! The hostess was kind. We had a private table, not disturbed by others. I do agree that the dark ambiance is a bit strange but we didn't miss light to read and eat. Timing was perfect. We discovered Jackson Triggs wine there and loved it! Unfortunately, it seems that this restaurant only exists in Sault Ste Marie and it's a bit far to go there just to eat from Ottawa. Next time anyhow, I want a taste of this famous Sunday brunch!!

My favourite restaurant in the Sault is Quattro Vinotecca but it was closed for the first week of January! Plan B was North 82. The outside of their building looks fantastic and high-end. When I walked in and saw tables of people wearing baseball caps and multiple TVs showing the hockey game, I was a bit disappointed but hopeful. I ordered the Greek salad but couldn’t finish it because it was drowned in vinaigrette. I love red wine vinegar but less is more in this case. For my main, I probably should have ordered one of their Greek specialties but I was in the mood for steak. The Rib-eye Oscar topped with sautéed shrimp, scallops, asparagus, and a béarnaise sauce was good but not great. The shrimp was fantastic! The service was okay. When somebody finally came to my table they asked me what I would like to drink. I had to ask for a drink menu so I could answer them. I'll give North 82 another try the next time I'm in town. Instead of ordering a steak I'll try one of their Greek specialities.

I can only review the breakfast buffet since I've never eaten there otherwise. The price seems kind of steep for a breakfast buffet but the food is AWESOME. Fresh omelette bar, with lots of toppings to choose from...Fresh waffles made before your eyes...Good salad bar with lots of choices for pasta salads and such...Delicious perfectly cooked bacon and breakfast sausages...A nice selection of non breakfast foods as well..Like italian sausage/peppers, Pierogies, Classic penne in tomato sauce, Roast, and a few different dessert bars/mousses/jellos. Amazing food but I just no longer find it worth the price for me personally.

I go to North 82 quite often, I just can’t ever get enough of the place. Tonight was a rare night, I was too exhausted to drive so I thought I would get delivery (which I know they use an outside company) Lydia who is normally who I order from ended up bringing me my food her self because delivery was taking too long and she wanted to make sure when we got our food it was hot. You just don’t get this kind of service anywhere else and this is why I continuously go here the people are awesome and the food is the absolute best!

A great place for a decent lunch . Usually under $15 for a meal with solid quality. Dinner however is quite over priced so I tend to stick to lunch here. It offers standard Canadian Italian fare, nothing shocking here but solid. Predictable, safe and definitely no risks taken. They won't season or even put mayo on your food incase it offends your tastes. Like that client who foolishly states their product is for everyone but never impresses anyone. It has its place and it doesn't strive to ever leave it. The staff really make it, wonderful helpful and remember you.

A friend treated my sister and me for her birthday. We both had ribs, which were very good. But there was no half-rack option on the menu. A full rack is way too much for a couple of seniors, so we had enough leftovers for another supper at home. The house salad was good. Service excellent. Very friendly. I want to start this review first off by saying I have never left a negative review for anything in my entire life. I have been to North 82 many times before and have had no issues. Tonight was a busy night and it did take much longer for our food to arrive which I understand completely. However the food was warm at best, some of it cold. Half way through my supper I found a hair in between the bacon wrap part of the steak. Unfortunately I found it too late in my mouth. I pulled it out with my friends watching. I notified the waitress and she had come back to let us know her manager was not going to do anything about it because, "I had consumed half of my meal already." Which is absolutely ridiculous, should I have checked my entire meal thoroughly for any hair before I eat it ??? I'm very disappointed and will not be returning ever again.

Went drinks and apps with a friend. Bacon wrapped scallops were excellent, however the rest of our food wasn't so great. Fried calamari was white and soggy, Caesar salad was chopped so fine it was like Cole slaw and the dressing was not very flavorful, very bland with no garlic. Drinks weren't any better. Went there for our anniversary yesterday and was very disappointing. Sat at a table in lower level corner and just about froze. Server showed up when delivering something otherwise nowhere to be found. My wife's salad was filled with brown lettuce that should never have been served in the first place. Her NY Strip loin steak was tough and overcooked. Both incidents were reported to server but nothing done. Paid $70 for a subpar meal that was easily fixable. Next time will definitely try someplace else.

Amazing!!! The ambiance in this place is very cozy and modern. We had reservations for the party room in the back to celebrate a birthday. We had a group of 48 PPL. They were very accommodating. Helped us organize a menu for our party. The best part is that it was private and we were not open to the restaurant. Not something you find in a restaurant unless you're at a banquet hall. We were able to deliver flowers to the restaurant as well. Honestly I would highly recommend them to host any large group.

The price was relatively equivalent to the prices back home in toronto and you get larger portions...and who doesn't love more food for a great price. Service was excellent and quick.. The oscer chicken I had for dinner was to die for...and I didn't even need a steak knife to cut the chicken thats how moist the chicken was..I was stuffed to the breaking point where I had to walk back to my hotel to burn off all that food.. Pepsi tasted horrible, was offered a replacement, still horrible, but was charged for the second glass. Prime rib sandwich was heavy with fat. Should have eaten it with knife and fork to trim the fat. Fries were not tasty. Overall an expensive meal that didn't taste good at all. Service was inattentive and slow. I left too large of a tip due to the way the bill was handled with the CC machine and the waitress standing over me. Not what I would call a good experience.

We have lunch here often and it is great I love the greek salad and I always get the chicken souvlaki for $ 9.95. When we went for dinner they seated us right under a loud speaker and we waited for 15 mins before a server came over to take our order. When the server did come over we had our menus still and she asked if someone had taken our order yet. She said she didn't know whos section it was but that she would take or order. i wanted rhe chicken souvlaki but it was $19.95 rather than the $9.95 it is at lunch so I asked if the portion size was bigger and she said no so i just got a salad. My boyfriend got the pork souvlaki and the only difference between it and the one on the lunch menu was that the salad came in a separate bowl but was the same size as lunch and that it came with big hard chunks of vegetables that he couldn't eat anyways so basically 8 chunks of vegetables cost us $10. Left unhappy.

I went on a Sunday night, the waiter gave us a table at the bar portion of the restaurant, and every time someone left or came in we got a horrible drift of freezing cold. The chicken I ordered was good, but the fries were undercooked... and the bread we received was two small whole grain loaves with so much extra butter it was crazy... but something disgusting we discovered before we ate the bread was the outside of the basket had two unknown substances on it.

Pretty much everything had seafood.. even appetizers.Also the prices were raised..again because of New years I'm assuming. Had the New York strip 47.95 ..on a regular night it's 40.95. If I could rate service on its own our server was probably the best I've had anywhere. I was in the service industry for a long time and found her outstanding. Her name was Janny I believe but it sounds like Johnny.

After we arrived we sat at a booth, the booth still had food all over the seats and was definitely not properly sanitized since the last guests. Overall, this restaurant does not appear to be adhering properly to covid guidelines. If you are at risk or nervous in the first place, take a pass. Otherwise, our server was excellent and very accommodating. However the food was lacklustre. I order a steak and it was overcooked, the fries were also soggy and looked/tasted like they had sat in a bowl all day. Go here if you like quantity over quality.

This has been our favourite restaurant for at least 12 years. I almost always order the New York steak, garlic mashed potatoes with grilled vegetables and a caesar salad.....near perfect meal every time. Their garlic mashed is some of the best I've ever had and the steak is almost always cooked to perfection. My husband loves the fish, chicken souvlaki or prime rib. Service is great and food comes in good timing so you don't wait too long but don't feel rushed. Definitely our go to place!

We wanted burgers, no burgers. I ordered prime rib sandwich, she brought me a steak sandwich, had to send it back. Was kinda worth the wait,.....not. Too expensive, bad service.

This restaurant serves the most delicious food. Me and my mother went there a few weeks ago and we were treated like royalty. Our waitress for personable and nice and very helpful. We both ordered steak and it was cooked to perfection and we had garlic, mashed potatoes and zucchini, along with pan fried mushrooms and clam chowder to start the meal.It was stupendous, I might add. For dessert I had pecan cheesecake which was really yummy as well. Everything was nice and hot and flavourful. I can't say enough about how good the food and service were. I highly recommend it for your next special occasion or any kind of occasion. You won't be disappointed. It was Awesome. We will be going back again soon.

We had the Prime rib dinner (take-out) on New Year's Day. Absolutely delicious!! The beef was cooked to perfection, very tender, generous amount of sauce. The vegetables also tasty. Highly recommend!

Came on a Friday night during their lobster and seafood Fest. Set at the bar. A little busy for sure but the bartender and waitstaff was great and working hard to make sure everyone was taken care of. Very nice and friendly! Being that they were so busy the meals took a little extra time to come out but the Food was done exactly to order and tasted great. Would definitely come back and eat here again when in the area!

Spk to manager who basically said to bad.if he had known prior to us paying the bill,.Spoke to waitress and she never offered for the manager to come over before I paid the bill.Very expensive for what we had. I am out of town from Toronto here for work. Given the allowance of food, I thought I would come here and splurge a little. I just came back and had to write a review.my first time was yesterday and ordered the surf and turf along with calamari. The first night the food came out in an okay time but the calamari was very disappointing. It was to soft and flavour was lacking. The lobster tail was okay but a little over cooked. Steak wasn't at par with the impression of the price and impression you get when you look at this restaurant. Tonight was a a very disappointing experience. Ordered a bake garlic shrimp which also lacked flavour. It came out with bread and the shrimp just bathed in butter with no garlic flavour at all. Had a Greek salad and was okay. After I had waited over 40 minutes for my Oscar ribeye. I asked for medium rare and it came out more rare. Had a couple bites and ate my mashed potatoes but waited so long my appetite was gone. Our servers name was Darlene and after telling her about my steak I was very disappointed with her reaction. I didn't want a new steak because it would've came out later and I wasn't having the appetite but her reaction came across that she didn't care. She didn't offer any other service to make the experience better and told me she couldn't really take it back anyway because it was "almost gone". I had cut multiple pieces to see how rare it was to ensure it wasn't just a certain area but it was all like that. Very disappointing service and quality of food and if it weren't for my company paying I would've definately brought it to managers attention. Definately not coming back.
