Went two nights in a row. First night we had Cajun pickerel... incredible. Second night we had Steak... again incredible. The meals were delicious and very satisfying. Would visit all the time but we live in Toronto!

We were undecided what to eat and drink and he went through all the specials and our menu with us. He made us feel at home! It was clear he knew the menu inside out and knew exactly what wine we should pair our meal with. It’s nice to see such wonderful service at restaurants. awesome

All you can eat locally caught whitefish for $20??? OMG! I opted for pan-fried, which is lightly floured first. Perfectly cooked (because it's not hard to screw up whitefish) - firm but flaky and really tasty. Fries were crispy. Housemade slaw and tartar sauce were nice touches. Portions are substantial - the plate of calamari we started with could have been a meal!! I'll definitely be back!

Fantastic, wonderful service. Not only a great hotel to stay at but 5 star restaurant. The food no matter what you choose on the menu, you will not be disappointed. They nail it everytime. Stayed at the Quality Inn for a week. Toured the menu. The dinner specials are always top notch. Personal recommendation, lamb shank. Fresh and tender lamb. Stuffed chicken breast with prosciutto will blow your skittles out. To be honest I was a bit skeptical with the size of the menu and it being a restaurant at the quality Inn... Boy was I wrong. These people love what they do and do it well. This place is unique and if you're wondering where to stay in Sault St Marie, this is the place. I've had zero interest in going to restaurants outside of the hotel. The menus diverse enough to suit any mood or craving. Ok enough. 5/5!

We had an incredible dinner at Gliss last week. We did not know what to expect as this was our first visit to Gliss and I can say it was FANTASTIC - from the service, to the ambiance to the quality of food - this place will NOT disappoint. We ordered coconut shrimp and escargot for appetizers - sooo good. Entrees were fall off the bone ribs, incredible whitefish and the most delicious stuffed chicken wrapped in Phyllo pastry. The service was amazing, attentive and accommodating. The next time we are in the area Gliss will definitely be our dinner spot. Thanks for a delicious meal.

Started out with a great Caesar salad and a 55 beer (local and easy to drink) then a mix of cheese pesto ravioli and a half rack of good ribs, not a standard mix but rubbing the cheesy pesto goodness in rib sauce did it for me. Good service too

We had a lovely dinner at Gliss this evening. The server was friendly and attentive. The appetizers were wonderful....baked brie with cranberry salsa, beef tartlets, and tenderloin bites. Nom nom. My one suggestion is to precook in the onions in the tartlets...they were a bit underdone. I had the stuffed chicken...they accommodated my sensitivity to red pepper and left that ingredient out, which was nice. It was so yummy, as were the risotto cakes. My companions raved about their steaks and sesame tuna. We topped it off with the praline cheesecake. Moist and delicious!

after we finished our Agawa Canyon train ride, we went to this restaurant for dinner. we are very impressed with the quality of the food and service from this restaurant. we went to various restaurants in Toronto, Markham & Richmond Hill regularly, and this one, in terms of food/service, is better than a lot of famous restaurants we went in the GTA area. the price is also very reasonable based on the food they offered. By reading the price in the menu, you will think it's a little bit over priced, but once you have your first bite of the food, you'll agree it's worth it. not only the taste is good, the quality of the food (meat/seafood) is higher than other restaurants. The service is great as well. the person who served our table was Alyssia (I hope i got the correct spelling). she always has a smile on her, she's also very attentive, she came by our table few times to make sure everything is good. too bad it's 6-7hours drive from Toronto, if they're in Toronto, for sure I'll go there more often. Thank you for the delicious food and great service!!

The steak is a 4 out of 10. The meat wasn't aged. The resoto cakes is good. The appetizers are good. Choices are limited in the Sault so this is it for a average dinner at above average prices.

Review of new location. Resembles a diner with dim lighting, it was definitely transfered to the new location on a tight budget. Seafood pasta was almost a joke. Waitress said it was delicious and was made with fresh pasta. Pasta was definitely out of a box, which is fine. But, it was covered in soggy salmon, and over cooked shrimp, and scallops. Not quite sure why it was topped with a large amount of feta cheese. Seems strange on a seafood pasta. My friend had the lamb, he said he liked it, but the presentation was less than appealing. Especially, when commanding near $30 per entree. Also the bathroom, which is in the basement, was in quite poor condition, definitely didn't feel like a mid-range steak and seafood place.

New Years Eve disaster! (2017) Worst and most expensive meal ever. For $278 we started dinner at 8. The waitresses got every course wrong and were going from table to table asking if this is your dish? It took so long for dinner to finally arrive that we just took the wrong entre as we couldn't wait any longer (we had plans for midnight, New Years). We were ignored the rest of the time. No drinks, not even water. People were leaving with their doggie bags and we hadn't even gotten our desert. At 11:15 we had to go. We called the next day and explained what happened. The owner offered us a free meal, but after 2 bad experiences were not interested in revisiting. She said she would discuss a refund with her husband and never ever called us back. At bare minimum we should have had desert refunded. Shame on you Gliss! You got greedy and tried to serve more people than you're capable of. Never again!

Was visiting Mackinac, had a taste for a steak dinner, and decided to cross the border on a whim. Found our way here. No reservation, but seated right away. Very few people, but was a Sunday during American Memorial weekend. Food was excellent, but waitress was brand new and still trying to get her feet wet. Otherwise excellent night.

Place was so cold by nose started running. Very dark. Unable to read menu. My husband gave me a flashlight to see it. Butter Pat's were frozen for bread. Garlic all over roasted potatoes. I am allergic to garlic. Replaced with twice baked potato which was excellent. Steak was overcooked. Not offered dessert menu. Just very disappointed!!!!

Been on a car trip for a week and this is the best place we ate so far! We only dropped into Canada on our way through UP Michigan and we are glad we did.
